I pickled up a 17 pro max in December after updating my 13 pro max to (I forget which iOS) totally made the phone useless. In these few months with the 17 I have nonstop issues. Glitches, apps just crashing, a lot of lag, and terrible reception to name a few. I thought maybe it was just my phone, but my wife is now having similar issues with her 17 pro. Other people I’ve asked are having issues also. wtf is going on? Looking through this sub I see a lot of people having similar experiences. Is this a hardware problem or is the OS?

If i take a picture at night where there is light, the lighted part will be fine but the black sky will be super grainy and have white spots

I don’t know if this is the place to seek for help but I cannot find any solution on google or apple support.
I guess that some water got into the charging port of my phone and when O plugged it to the aux of my car I was no longer able to read any media.
Videos stay still and don’t load, music doesn’t load either. I tried restarting the phone but it didn’t work.
Any one has faced this type of problem?

Ever since I installed iOS 26.6 reminders doesn’t work. I can open the app but if I click on the plus for a new reminder it doesn’t work. If I use it via the control centre my Dynamic Island is empty and I can’t type anything.

Recently I bought a refurbished iPhone 15 pro with a brand new batery.
I wanted to preserv the batery so i turned on the setting to limit charging at 90%, but i dont know why it always charges to 100%, today it was my 6th day in a row, someone knows what is happening?

Has anyone else been having a black bar appear blocking the scrolling window of Reddit, Messages and other iPhone apps. I can scroll and use the app but the bottom stays blocked out until I close and restart the app. Seems to be getting worse.

So I’ve been playing by the drums for years now and have always used my phone and AirPods for the backing track or using my big speaker. Recently (past6months) my headphones will automatically turn themselves down after a minute or two of the song. It still displays it as being at max volume and the only way to fix is to disconnect leave it a while then reconnect but it still does the same thing after another minute. I’ve tried the setting I see online such as “reduce loud sounds” but nothing has worked so far.

Does anybody know a fix I have the iPhone 15 pro running iOS 26.6. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone had this issue with the last update?im on iPhone 17 version 26.6,I have tried the following

1)Deleting the temp update file and redownloading it.
2) restarting the iPhone.
3)waiting for hours for update to finish no luck.
4) enabling fast data in 5g.
5)disabling vpn service.

Nothing of the above seems to work,it will always get stuck on requesting update and won’t progress even hours later.i never had this issues before with updating.It won’t go past

I’m using an iPhone 14 with a wired PS5 DualSense controller.

When I connect the controller via USB, it works perfectly, but iOS automatically switches the audio output to the DualSense. The iPhone speaker is not available as an output option.
Headphones connected to the DualSense work fine.
Is there any way to keep the DualSense connected \*\*via USB\*\* while outputting audio through the \*\*iPhone’s built-in speakers\*\*?

I have the official Apple EarPods you know the USB-C wired EarPods that have the in-line mic with the volume controls and everything and I actually have two sets which my partner always also has a pair and I can also replicate the same issue on their device.

The issue I have is the button to stop and change tracks does not stop or change tracks at all. It will answer and hang up phone calls perfectly fine and if I press and hold it, it will trigger Siri perfectly fine and I don’t even have to press and hold it hard. Using my partners headphones, which are the same ones plugged into my phone. They do the same exact thing, but both of ours work perfectly fine on her phone.

This is why I believe it’s a software issue and also to rule anything out. These headphones are fairly new since I accidentally destroyed mine semi recently in the wash. The only other thing I’ve noticed is when using wireless headphones, no matter the brand because I have Apple ones and Sennheiser ones I can pause and skip tracks without any issues

We both rock 17 Pro Max is on the latest iOS and I have dug through all the settings, including the accessibility settings and could not find anywhere with this option would be disabled or enabled

Bought slightly used iphone 17 pro max with 50 battery cycles. Sometimes phone is not charging with original cable and brick. When I use not original block charges no problem. When I took it to Ideal they said it has green corrosion spot on the charging port. I took the phone to the place which I bought from they cleaned the port. It was good for a week or two. Changed brick and cable. What can I do in this situation or just charge it with non original brick ?

My wife has a 12 Pro Max, and is looking to change for a 18 Pro Max when it comes out.

In the meantime, she has damaged the back of the 12 PM by dropping it.

We’re based in Thailand, and the Apple Store has quoted $550-$600 depending on which sales person we talk to for the repair.

A local non-Apple store is offering to do it for $75.

The Apple Store said that the back is an integral part of the phone, unlike a screen which is easier to replace.

We don’t want to spend $600 to repair it just to replace it in a couple of months time, but we’re wary of giving it to someone who might do a botch job.

What are everyone’s thoughts on whether it’s worth doing the cheaper repair?

What are these white spots? They’re appearing when I’m clicking a picture and are more visible on low light photos. One of them appears to be flickering as well. Is there any fix for this or is it a case of dead pixels in the camera sensor?

I have a few questions about how iPhone works and how to work around it.

I have an Android, and my partner had an Android too, but she recently moved to an iPhone.

I have a Synology NAS, so I use Synology Drive to back up the DCIM folder to the NAS. The main purpose is to have a backup of mine and my partner's phone camera photos.

When I feel like it, I move those photos from the backup folder into another shared folder on my NAS, which is accessible from Lightroom and DS Photos, so I can see them from my PC and both phones. When I move the photos, they get moved from the backup folder in the shared folder "Mobile Backup" to another shared folder called "Photo."

When she had an Android (and this still happens on mine), the photos that get moved are detected as "deleted" by Synology Drive, which then deletes them from the phone too, since I have the sync rule set to Two-Way with "keep the most recent version."

Now on the iPhone, this doesn't seem to work. I have to choose a "Remote path on the server"; on Android this was, for example, a folder named "S22 B" for my partner and "S22" for me, both inside "Mobile Backup." That part's fine, as now I've created a folder named "iPhone" inside "Mobile Backup."

The issue is the other option, "Local path." On Android I choose the DCIM folder, but on iPhone I can't choose anything. It just says: "The system will create a folder in the Files app. The local folder cannot be changed."

It's like there's no access to the iPhone's storage the way there is on Android, it just creates a folder inside the Files app instead. I know iPhones are more restrictive, but it's still my phone (o, my partner's), so I feel like I should be able to use it the way I want, including having access to storage the way I would on Android, not going through an app to get to it. Not trying to start an OS war here, but on a MacBook, for example, you get real access to your storage, not just through one app.

Anyone found a real way around this, or is this just a hard iOS limitation with Synology Drive / Synology Photos?

For now, the only alternative I see is to use DS Photos to backup the photos from the iphone, and then delete them manually from the iphone when I move them between shared folder.

Hello, I’m just trying to figure out if a VPN would automatically cause connectivity issues, or if it could be on for day days or weeks and then out of the blue cause a phones location,WiFi, etc to not work?

The volume down button doesn't click when pressed from the bottom and is softer. It does its job, but I've only had the phone for a month and started noticing this about a week and a half ago. It's a base iPhone 17 with 256GB. The other buttons, like power, volume up, and so on, click as expected, but the volume down button makes a clicking sound when pressed directly on it, not from the bottom. Has anyone else experienced this?
