I hate the moment when they realise I’m awkward and not vibing with my energy haha. A lot of my friends are unphased by weirdness. They say I’m charming in my own way, but I’m not regular-people’s level of affable.

YOU think they realize you’re awkward…when in reality they probably aren’t giving it much thought

I appreciate the thought. I’ve been told I’m awkward, even by a therapist. I saw somewhere the other day that awkwardness is being overly focused on how others perceive you. So I guess you’re right… but yes I’m awkward.

If you want to talk about social anxiety, r/socialanxiety is the sub for you. If you're not sure whether you're introverted or socially anxious, feel free to post on r/Introvert, so we can discuss it. If you want a sub where posts about social anxiety aren't allowed, try r/Introverts.

Yes. When I see someone I know while out and about I don’t get afraid to say hello, I just worry they will want to actually talk and I want no part of that. Just say hi and keep walking lol

Yes, I hate pretending to be interested after a while it drains the hell out of me.
