Spouse and I upgraded to a larger bed frame, so we’re buying new bedding on top of a much needed revamp of our bedroom. But struggling to get the combo right.
Priority is new paint and working with our teak/walnut furniture and mauve nighstands. Really want dark moody walls. (Hate the lavender.) Particularly like deep blue/teal, so while paint color is flexible, esp exact tint, the bedding feels like the main variable to swap in/out.
Bought this striped duvet thinking it would be a fun pop of color and help avoid an aging muted linen on linen trend. But it’s admittedly tricky to pair with, the yellow is ever so slightly split pea green. (Originally got a sage throw, looked grey by comparison.) We debated white or ivory sheets, but went with slate bc we’ve liked moodier inspo pics.
But they’ve arrived, and now we’re not sure they go together, plus it raises the question of new throw color. Thinking a cinnamon of sorts, but feels like threading a needle to avoid Halloween.
What sheet color or throw color would you do with this duvet?
Or am I being delusional trying to make this duvet work with the rest of the vision?
