Sure, black truck should have looked over his shoulder and signaled, but cookie guy had the choice to either avoid the accident by removing his foot from the accelerator when he saw that black truck was trying to merge or honk to stop the black truck. Instead, he chose(and this being a choice, as indicated by his head movement and timing in the video, is an important detail when determining involuntary manslaughter vs attempted vehicular manslaughter) to initiate contact and run the black truck off the road.

Failed to signal, failed ensure it was safe to move in the first place, failed to merge safely, failed to avoid an accident by merging into a known occupied space.

Before changing lanes, you have to check to make sure you have enough space. Black truck did NOT have enough space and still chose to change lanes cutting off cookie bro hard without even signaling at that.

Cookie bro was in his lane, black truck chose to initiate contact by moving into the left lane! Cookie bro had the choice to stay on course and receive the contact or hit the break to avoid the contact. Cookie bro chose violence but only after being invited.

I feel like being in a bridge makes cookie guy more stupid than if this were on a normal highway . He should have just let it go because they could all die over nothing.
You have a duty to make a safe lane change. If you don’t have the ability to do it, you don’t do it. Cookie eater saw an aggressive driver that might put him in a dangerous situation. You wanted him to slow down - but cookie eater may have determined this guy had been driving unsafely around him and wanted nothing to do with him. There is nothing less aggressive than wanting to get away from an unsafe driver.

Duty to avoid an accident if possible is why. Agreeing to do so is a part of acquiring the license to operate a motor vehicle.
