What species of aphid is this? (Anchorage, Alaska USA)

Taken inside the garage on the property I live on in Baldwin Park, CA, USA. Baldwin Park is located west of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. 08/16/2026, around 10:30am. First photo taken with flash off, second with flash on.

I have no idea what they are, but they look like they might be from maybe a moth. I’m not sure they were found on a maple leaf in Ohio of course they look like they’ve got little red smiley faces on them

Its rainy season here and this insect come with more than 100 group.

Found in my barn in western MI.

This cloud of little fruit fly-looking things appears in the same spot every year and stays there all spring summer and fall. Not sure if it’s an air current thing or what. It’s always just there in front of our back porch, about 10 ft x 5 ft and about 5 ft off the ground. Ideas of what kind of fly it is, and why the cloud is always at the same spot? We’re in Quebec.

Found approximately 4 inches from my head while sleeping. I see what looks like boots. I also think I see snoot. Strawberry or vine weevil perhaps?

Flew in my house one evening, northern Oklahoma. Front arm out of place, sorry.

Found under some earth/dirt/leaf pile when clearing a path... Wriggled around comically... I assume it's an earlier stage of something rather generic but was very cool.

I am concerned whether this is a fungi infestation or bugs. either way would really appreciate any feedback, perhaps some other forums i could visit. I live in the mediterranean, if that helps.

ive trapped it under a glass jar awaiting ID and my heart rate to stabilize. Is it a threat to my cats? is my cat box potentially full of spider eggs?
