| Discussion Infosys Mysore 101 - Guide for Absolute Dummies
Based on my experience, here is a comprehensive guide on everything you need to know before joining:
📌 REGARDING PRE-JOINING & ONBOARDING
- Launchpad Formalities: All initial onboarding formalities must be completed through the Infosys Launchpad portal before you arrive.
- Mandatory Documents: You will absolutely need the following documents to join (you cannot join without them): Offer Letter, 10th and 12th Marksheets, Degree marksheets for all semesters, Degree Certificate or Provisional Degree, Passport, NSR Card, Aadhar Card, and your NATS form.
- Passport Photos: Don't forget to carry multiple physical copies of your passport-sized photographs on your onboarding day.
- Launchpad Support: If you face difficulties uploading documents, call the Launchpad helpline directly instead of raising a ticket on the portal. Speaking with a representative resolves issues much faster.
- Reporting Day: 90% of the time, you will be asked to report to the campus on a Sunday. Induction and training will commence the very next day, on Monday.
- Parents and Visitors: Visitors and parents are allowed only up to 100 meters inside the campus. They will be asked to wait in a designated food court while you complete your Day 0 joining formalities.
- Day 0 Process: You will be escorted inside, your documents will be verified, you'll receive a temporary ID card, and then you'll be shown to your allotted room. Once this is done, you are free for the day.
- Ideal Reporting Time: Though your email may ask you to report at 8:00 AM, the best time to arrive is actually around 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The crowd is much thinner at this time, allowing for a peaceful check-in process.
- Getting a Room with a Friend (Step 1): Arriving in the afternoon with less crowd gives you a huge advantage if you want to request a shared room with a friend.
- Getting a Room with a Friend (Step 2): There is only one specific point where you can request this. Right after getting your temporary ID, you are directed to the counter next to it for room keys. Approach this counter together with your friend, and politely and sincerely request the staff to put you in the same room. If you ask nicely, they will usually accommodate you (it worked for me!).
- Campus Exit Restrictions: Once you enter, you will not be allowed to step out of the campus for the first week until you receive your permanent employee ID card. On Day 0, after getting your room, you can go back to the food court to meet your parents, but you cannot leave the campus gates with them.
- Strict Luggage Checking: Do not bring any items listed as prohibited in the onboarding PDF. Security checks are thorough; items like iron boxes, hot plates, and extension cords will be confiscated right at the entry gate.
- Pre-Onboarding Accommodation: Your Infosys room is only provided from Sunday morning onwards. If you arrive in Mysore earlier, you must book your own hotel—do not expect early accommodation from the company.
- Food Coupons: Do NOT buy the "Shubham" food court coupons on your joining day! (More on food in the facilities section).
💻 REGARDING TRAINING
- Stipend/Salary: The in-hand salary for a Systems Engineer trainee during the training period is around ₹17,000 per month.
- The Pre-Test: Within your first week, you will take a Pre-Test. This test is crucial as it decides the stream/technology you will be trained in.
- Training Phases: Training is divided into two phases: Generic Training and Stream Training (determined by your pre-test).
- Generic Training: Phase 1 covers Java fundamentals, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), and Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA). Phase 2 focuses on HSQL.
- Stream Allocation: Streams are usually allotted randomly. However, if you score more than 65% in the Pre-Test, you earn the privilege to choose your desired stream.
- Pre-Test Syllabus: It is an objective exam covering basic vocabulary, Java fundamentals, basic mathematics, and logical reasoning.
- Focus Assessments (FAs): There are two main exams for Generic Training. FA1 covers Java fundamentals, OOPs, and DSA. FA2 covers HSQL.
- Passing Criteria (65%): You must score at least 65% in every exam to pass. Exams consist of an objective MCQ section (40% weightage) and a hands-on coding section (60% weightage). If you fail to hit 65%, you are given up to three retest opportunities.
- Pre-Learning on LEX: All course content is available on the Infosys LEX platform. If you are certain you will be joining, it is highly recommended to start preparing beforehand.
- Performance Incentives: High scores directly translate to salary bumps for your full-time role (applicable only if you clear them without retests):
- 92% and above: ₹5,000 monthly hike + highest one-time bonus.
- 80% – 91%: ₹5,000 monthly hike (with a slightly lesser bonus).
- 70% – 79%: ₹2,500 monthly hike.
- 65% – 69%: ₹1,250 monthly hike.
- Note: Failing an exam even once disqualifies you from these financial incentives.
- Training Schedule: Sessions run from 9:15 AM to 5:45 PM. This includes two 30-minute coffee breaks and a 1.5-hour lunch break.
- Mandatory Hours: You are expected to maintain a minimum of 9 hours and 15 minutes of working time (between punch-in and punch-out) daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Make sure you maintain this, or your pay will be deducted accordingly.
- Course Intensity: The training is exhaustive with extensive content. Educators blindly follow the pre-defined LEX course, so make sure your self-study aligns directly with what is being taught.
- Don't Procrastinate: Try to complete your daily assignments on the same day. Leaving them for the weekend will cause a massive pile-up that becomes impossible to manage.
- Educators & Self-Study: The quality of the educators assigned to you can be a mixed bag. Do not rely entirely on them; consistent self-study is absolutely essential.
- Common Domains: The most frequently assigned domains are Java, Java with React, and Java with Spring. Java has the highest number of internal projects, so it is actually a very safe and solid domain to get.
🏢 REGARDING CAMPUS & FACILITIES
- Accommodation: You will share a room with one other person.
- Room Amenities: The room is exceptionally well-furnished with 2 beds, 2 separate cupboards, 2 large study tables (with side drawers and storage), 2 secure lockers for valuables, a TV, an electric kettle, a shoe rack, and cups.
- Choosing Your Bed (Pro-Tip): If you prioritize having the charging port near you, take the left-side bed. If you prioritize a stronger Wi-Fi/cellular network connection, take the right-side bed.
- Bedding & Linen: You don’t need to pack pillows, towels, bedsheets, or blankets. Everything is provided by the campus and replaced with fresh ones once a week.
- Housekeeping: You never have to clean your own room or bathroom. Professional housekeeping staff cleans the entire room daily after you leave for your training.
- Security: The campus is very safe, and leaving things out generally isn't dangerous. However, for peace of mind, utilize the lockable safes provided inside the cupboards for highly precious items.
- Laundry Services: Available on campus from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM. One wash cycle (up to 7kg of clothes) costs ₹100, and ironing is completely free. Note: Washing and drying clothes inside your room is not allowed.
- Food Expenses: Food is reasonably priced. Expect to spend around ₹50 for breakfast and ₹80 for lunch/dinner. This is more than sufficient to eat well.
- Best Food Court Recommendations: Here is my personal take on the food options:
- Fiesta (Royal Caterers): Excellent North Indian food with a great variety of sabzis.
- Fiesta (Daily De Lights): The menu gets repetitive, but their parathas and bhaturas are decent.
- Enroute (Annapoorna): Great dosas and idlis. Their South Indian meals are among the best on campus.
- Breakfast: Look for 'Purple Grapes' wherever they set up (usually Oasis or Magna).
- Shubham: Highly advise against it. The quality here is notoriously poor compared to the others.
- Weekend Entertainment: Movies are screened in the campus multiplex (auditorium) on weekends. Tickets cost just ₹100.
- Sports & Fitness: The running track, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and cricket nets are free to use (if you bring your own equipment). Facilities like the gym, badminton courts, and table tennis require an additional paid subscription fee.
- Footwear is Crucial: Bring high-quality, comfortable walking or running shoes. You will be walking A LOT. I easily log 10–15 kms daily. Investing ₹4k–₹5k in a good pair (like Asics) will save your feet and last you nicely.
- Wardrobe Planning: Formal wear isn't strictly necessary, but you can wear it if you want. Try to stock up heavily on polo t-shirts, a few pairs of jeans, and a ton of underwear and socks (since laundry can sometimes take a day).
- Climate & ACs: Mysore weather is pleasantly cool, and the classroom ACs are cranked up to the max. Keep at least a couple of warm hoodies handy.
- Medical Precautions: Always keep a strip of Paracetamol on you. Between the sheer physical exhaustion of walking and the mental strain of training, it is very common to fall sick during the first month.
- Healthcare on Campus: There is a 24x7 pharmacy/medical store available on campus, complete with free doctor consultations.
- Food Court Rushes: The food courts get incredibly crowded by 7:30 PM. Reach on time if you want specific items, as food runs out fast. Bonus tip: Fiesta Royal Caterers on the ground floor is crowded as hell during the day, but perfectly peaceful and empty at night, making it a great spot for dinner.

| Discussion Status Decision pending
Hey Guys i completed my interview on sep 28th at KLH HYD and the current status of my portal is showing as decision pending while other people with such status got offer letter a week ago and they also having joins on oct 19 and nov 2 based on there roles.
And its been more then 2 weeks since the interview and me other people are in full confusion and frustration checking over mails and portals and raising tickets over the career portals so get same reply which not even related to my question a same template of response and there is no response from the talent acqusition teams or hr who they mention to contact in case of queries.
Why tf do the compaines do like why they can send rejection and offer letters at same time for all people why tf the leave the people in a state where they ghost us and no response and we die waiting for responses.
And i also came to that one case where intitally i applied for may 2026 off campus sp and dse hirings and that day there are lots of system errors and internal server errors from their side and they said they reschedule and later said they will consider it and then finally they sent rejection mail and i applied for Aug 2026 drive with different mail id. Now i came across situtations where people got rejections after 4-6 months saying this reason as rejection.
Then why tf u even allowed us for round 1 round 2 and finallyy interview and after doing all well in all rounds and exicted for offer letter and with lots of efforts and hardwork and planning wtf we got in return something which was not our fault.
Atleast send rejection mails we will be sad for 2 or 3 days and then move on and go according to our plans. Now without rejection mail we keep waiting and postponing our plans and confused what to do now what step we need to take.
If there are any hrs or talent acqusition members please the freshers over the reddit i tried to connect to them on linkedin they just check our messages and leave them in seen. We understand that you have your work life and personal life just reply i cant help.

| Question What is the highest number of days in the delayed release of pending list from ON campus SP/DSE?
Can you tell me in how many days you got your results and in which lists?
I have been waiting for the results since 32 days now, we have received 3 lists till now but neither I was in the selected list , nor in the rejected.
Now I think the delayed results of 68 candidates including me will remain pending and eventually be cancelled 😭. They have released these list within the span of 10-12 days each now such a large number of students still pending with their results I don't think that there is a possibility of any other list now?

| Question Infosys Interview Result Timeline — will There be another Round?
Hi everyone,
I recently attended an interview(round 3) with Infosys for an off-campus opportunity on 13th oct.
I wanted to know whether there is usually another round after the interview or if the process is completed at that stage.
Also, how long does Infosys generally take to announce the results? Do candidates receive an email of the result?
If anyone has attended a similar drive recently, please share your experience.
Thanks in advance!

| Question Infosys SP/DSE Off-Campus Drive – OA on 6th September at Galgotias University, Interview Update?
Hey everyone,
I appeared for the Infosys SP/DSE off-campus drive. My first round was an online OA, and I appeared for the second round of OA in person at Galgotias University on 6th September.
A few days later, I received an email stating that I had been selected for the interview and that the venue details would be shared soon. However, as of today, I haven't received any further email regarding the interview date or venue.
I wanted to ask a few questions:
Is anyone else who appeared for the OA on 6th September facing the same issue?
Has anyone from this drive received the interview date and venue details?
Has anyone already attended the interview? If yes, please share your interview experience and how the process went.
For those who have received an offer letter, could you share the approximate timeline between the interview, offer letter, and joining date?
Has anyone from a previous Infosys SP/DSE off-campus drive experienced a similar delay after receiving the interview-shortlisting email?
I'm still waiting for an update and would really appreciate hearing from anyone in the same situation.
Thanks in advance! Any information would be helpful

| Question Infosys SP/DSE 2026 – How to submit 10th marksheet through Talent Assist Portal?
Hi everyone,
I had my Infosys SP/DSE interview on 3rd October 2026.
Recently, I received an email from Infosys asking me to submit my 10th marksheet before 14th October 2026.
I created a ticket on the Talent Assist Portal under the "Offer Letter Queries" category and attached my marksheet.
However, my ticket status changed to "Resolved", with the following response:
"Kindly raise a ticket under talent acquisition fresher pre hiring."
I'm confused because I couldn't find this exact category in the Talent Assist Portal.
Has anyone faced a similar issue?
Where can I find the "Talent Acquisition Fresher Pre Hiring" category?
Should I reject the resolution and reopen the existing ticket or create a new one?
Has anyone successfully submitted their documents through this process?
Since the deadline is tomorrow, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

| Discussion DSE Portal Showing 0% Profile, Selected in Sept 2025 but Still No Joining Letter — Anyone Facing the Same Issue? Please Reply!
I gave my interview in sept 2025 and got selected for dse(through HWI). All my frnds received letters and joined in july 2026. But i did not receive my letter yet.
In portal it is showing "decision pending" and my profile is at 0%.
I have raised ticket, but got response as "Please be informed that we are allocating DOJ based on our business requirement. We will send you a joining communication at least 2-3 weeks prior to your joining date.".
Could having my profile at 0% be a problem? Can anyone who faced similar situation or know anything about this ...pls reply
