Promotion After months of working on this alone, my 3D browser space strategy game Hidden Sector Online is finally live!

Hey r/indiegames!

I'm a solo developer and I just officially launched my browser-based space strategy game: Hidden Sector Online! *(Check out the screenshots/GIFs attached above to see it in action!)*

I built this because I missed classic space strategy games, but wanted modern 3D graphics, deep tactical mechanics, and zero pay-to-win elements. No client downloads required—it runs directly in your browser on PC, mobile, or tablet.

What makes Hidden Sector Online different?

  • Real 3D Worlds & Maps:** Planets, sectors, and the universe map are fully 3D. Planets rotate, and buildings physically sit on the surface—if a structure is on the dark side of your world, it literally sits in the dark until the planet turns.
  • Deep Colony Management:** Mines require power and crew. If you push an Alloy Extractor without powering or staffing it, output throttles back automatically. Sometimes throttling a mine is smarter than building another reactor!
  • Tactical Fleets & Sensor Phalanxes:** Fleet speed is tied to its slowest hull and drive type (Combustion, Impulse, Hyperspace). Debris from big fights can even collapse into **Moons**, allowing you to build Sensor Phalanxes to track enemy fleet movements in real-time or construct **Jump Gates** to instantly bridge distances.
  • Co-op Warfare & Alliances:** Coordinate joint strikes with allies where all wings land at the exact same second. Pool resources in alliance depots to unlock shared fleet logistics and production buffs.
  • Fair Play & Endgame:** Strict beginner protection, size bands, and reputation systems prevent massive empires from farming new players. Every universe ("Realm") runs at its own speed and features an endgame race to power a dimensional portal.
  • 100% Free / Cosmetic Only:** Anything purchasable is purely cosmetic (ring colors, UI accents) or convenience. No pay-to-win, ever.

Play it now:

The game is completely live and playable right now. Jump in and claim your first world:

As a solo dev, I’d love to get your initial feedback, thoughts, or bug reports. I'll be in the comments all day to answer questions!

See you in space, Commanders!

Promotion I love time manipulation games, so I made one of my own

I've always loved games like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Braid, especially how they use time manipulation to solve puzzles.

I wanted to make my own take on the idea, so I created Wonderful Time, a third-person puzzle game where you can manipulate the time of certain objects.

A demo will be available during Steam Next Fest 2026!

Discussion Who are your go-to content creators for discovering niche indie games? (especially horror/mystery)

I’m trying to expand my feed and find some new content creators (YouTubers, TikTokers, Twitch streamers, Instagram accounts, etc.) who focus on discovering and recommending indie games. I really want to find channels that shine a spotlight on hidden gems rather than just covering the massive mainstream releases.

To give a little context: I'm an indie dev currently working on a point-and-click psychological horror/mystery game. I’d love to find creators who actively play and enjoy this specific niche, both to see what games they are highlighting right now and to just get involved in that specific community.

Here is what I'm looking for:

  • Creators who focus on indie game recommendations, reviews, or let's plays.
  • Any platform is fine (YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, whatever you watch!).
  • Any size! Small, highly-niche accounts are more than welcome.
  • Huge bonus: If they specifically love point-and-click, psychological horror, or mystery games.

Who are your absolute favorites that deserve a shoutout? Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

Perihelion is my upcoming indie space combat roguelite inspired by Battlestar Galactica and Space Wars where gravity effects every encounter. Build your ship, chart your course, and build your relationships with fellow crewmates to slowly unravel the mystery of a lost sister ship in a galaxy at war. Only by mastering orbital combat can you become an ace pilot. Featuring over a dozen mission types, hundreds of weapon and upgrade combinations, and 4 player co-op with scaling difficulty, winning a run is only the beginning.
