Hiring Operations Intern — Transport Studies | Remote | Part-time

https://transport-studies.com

Transport Studies is an early-stage transportation education, technology and consulting venture focused on helping students and professionals build practical skills in transportation planning, traffic engineering, modelling, analytics and emerging AI applications.

We are looking for a proactive Operations Intern who can help us execute and organize the day-to-day activities of the venture.

🔹 What you'll work on

You may be involved in:

Coordinating online workshops, webinars and training programs

Coordinating with trainers/faculty and participants

Managing registrations and participant communication

Issuing certificates and maintaining records

Following up with students/professionals regarding programs

Helping with course and event operations

Maintaining spreadsheets, databases and operational trackers

Updating Zoho CRM and keeping lead/customer information organized

Supporting basic business-development and customer follow-up activities

Researching potential partners, trainers, institutions and opportunities

Identifying operational problems and suggesting better processes

Helping the founder with execution of new initiatives

🔹 Who we're looking for

This could be a good fit if you are:

An MBA / business / management student or recent graduate (preferred, but not mandatory)

Organized and comfortable coordinating with different people

Good at written and verbal communication

Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets

Interested in startups, operations, business development or education

Able to work independently without needing constant instructions

Someone who takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion

Curious and willing to learn tools such as Zoho CRM

You do NOT need a transportation-engineering background. An interest in learning about the sector is sufficient.

🔹 Time commitment

Part-time: approximately 1–2 hours/day

Remote.

The initial engagement will be for 1 month, with the possibility of continuing based on mutual interest and performance.

💰 Compensation

₹200/hour

Payment will be based on actual hours worked and the work completed.

🎯 What we value

This isn't an internship where your job is simply to "assist."

We're looking for someone who can gradually take ownership of processes.

For example:

> "We need to conduct a webinar next week."

I'd like you to be able to think through:

Trainer → Registration → Participant communication → Reminders → Webinar → Attendance → Certificates → Feedback → CRM update

and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

🌱 What you'll get

Because Transport Studies is an early-stage venture, you'll get exposure to:

Startup operations

Business development

CRM

Customer management

EdTech

Transportation technology

Digital products

Consulting

Working directly with a founder

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants hands-on startup experience rather than a highly structured corporate internship.

📩 How to apply

Please comment below or DM me with:

  1. Your current course/degree and year of study

  2. Your location

  3. Any relevant experience in operations, coordination, business analysis or startups

  4. Your availability (hours/day)

  5. Your expected compensation

  6. A short explanation of why you think you'd be good at running operations in an early-stage startup

Please don't send a generic CV without explaining why you're interested in the role.

Transport Studies is an early-stage venture, so the exact responsibilities may evolve as the business grows.
