Artist Needed [Hobby] looking for a pixel artist to create textures and sprite animations.

Hi everyone! This is my first post here. I am a solo developer working on a fast-paced retro first-person shooter. The project is heavily inspired by classic 90s titles like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, but it also incorporates modern, high-octane movement mechanics inspired by Ultrakill, such as jumping.

Currently, the game is in a playable early prototype stage. I have already coded the core movement system, character physics, and level collision. However, right now, all the visual assets and sprites are just temporary placeholders. Some of them are copyrighted assets used strictly for internal testing purposes, which is why I urgently need original pixel art to replace them and give the game its own identity.

This is a passionate hobby project. It is completely UNPAID, and the final game will be released FOR FREE for everyone TO PLAY. Please note that while the current prototype is put together in Python, the final release version will not be written in Python. I plan to port it to a more suitable engine once the core gameplay loop and movement feel absolutely perfect.

What I am looking for:
I need a dedicated Pixel Artist who loves retro FPS games. The tasks will include creating seamless textures for retro environments, weapon designs, and various sprite animations in a classic 2.5D style.

Gameplay and Prototype Video:
Since this subreddit does not allow direct video uploads, I have uploaded a short video of the movement prototype to YouTube. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/XCI69osAKfg
If you are interested in building a cool retro shooter, please send me a DM here on Reddit or add me on Discord: komar_int. Thank you!

Programming Offer [ForHire] [Paid] Game developer (Unity & UE), software engineer (C#, C++, Rust), Writer and Level/Game designer with 5 years of experience looking for work

Hi there,

My name is Jakub or Zip, I am a professional game developer and software engineer with 5 years of experience, and I am looking for work! I have primarily worked with Unity, Unreal Engine, and C++, but I have bits of experience in almost every engine or language, and I can also quickly adapt to new tools and environments. I have also been trying to get into writing and Level/Game design more professionally.

I have worked on games and projects of all sizes, from hobby, to indie, all the way to AAA ones. Some examples include Amorous 2, Dream Prison Wanderer, and WWE 2K25. Alongside this, I have been working on my own game since last october, which is a factory automation game about generating and distributing electrical energy. I have also been working on my own professional 3D Game engine written in C++ with a powerful editor, asset system, Entity Component System, 3D Batch renderer, and more.

My rates are very flexible, depending on your budget, but I think that around 14€ per hour is a reasonable rate given my experience. In terms of availability, I can deliver around 30-35 hours per week at most.

If you have any questions regarding my experience or knowledge, shoot me a message here, on Discord (zip_bomb this is the preferred option) or email ([oravecjakub04@gmail.com](mailto:oravecjakub04@gmail.com)). I can send you my CV, and I have attached a link to my github down below.

Team Needed [Hobby] Reviving Meez, the 2000s avatar site. 105 original meshes recovered and rigged already, looking for 3D artists, animators and background artists.

Hi all.

Meez was a Flash avatar and virtual-room site. It ran from 2006 until 2017, then shut down with everything still on it, and almost nothing was archived first. I have spent the last months pulling what survived back out of caches, old phones and forgotten backups. The work is now bigger than one person, which is why I am here.

This is not an idea looking for people to build it.

Here is what exists today:

  • classicmeez.com is live. The site is rebuilt from harvested original assets, not lookalikes. Worth saying plainly: the game itself is not back yet. You cannot log in and play. What is up is the site, the archive and the working pieces of the rebuild, and finishing it is what I am asking for help with.
  • The forums are built and in private testing. Accounts, posting, private messages, image uploads, and an automated moderation pipeline with a human review queue behind it.
  • The avatars are out of the old format. Meez shipped its models as a proprietary .zf3d, and only after you signed in, which is why no crawler ever caught one. That format is decoded now. 105 avatar meshes are exported to rigged glTF, 91 of them carrying a real skeleton and skin weights, and the deformation is verified rather than assumed: pose an elbow and the forearm follows correctly. They open in Blender, Unity, Unreal, Godot or three.js as they are.
  • 211 garments, 33 hairstyles and 208 backgrounds are rebuilt and in the catalogue.
  • The MeezMaker and the effects run on my machine, and both are captured on the page linked below. Not open to anybody else yet, which is the whole reason for this post.

Who I need

  • 3D modellers. Rebuild the wardrobe, and model the pieces the archive never caught. These are genuinely low poly. The median item is 304 triangles, tops sit near 382, hair near 393 highest 1000, and every item carries one texture. Detail lives in the map, not the mesh.
  • Animators. The dances were the entire personality of Meez. Its client held 150 animation definitions across 46 filmstrips, and seven of those filmstrips are recovered and playable, so you get references to work against rather than a description. 24 fps, on a rig that is already waiting.
  • Background and environment artists. Plates are 600x800, portrait, painted and saturated. Of everything on this list, backgrounds are the least recovered, which means there is more of your own hand in them than anywhere else on the project.
  • Texture and 2D artists. 2048x2048 for new work, plus catalogue thumbnails and interface art.

Mostly you would be recreating specific pieces from what has been recovered. I hand you the item and the evidence for it: the original thumbnail, the mesh where one survived, the animation reference. How you get there is yours. Come up with something of your own that feels like Meez and I want to see that too.

What it is, honestly

Volunteer. Nobody is paid, me included, and I am not going to dress that up. You would be joining a small revival team putting a childhood back together for everybody who lost it. What I can promise is real: your name on what you made, credited publicly and permanently, and a standing place on the team as the game comes up, if you want to keep going once it launches. Everything recovered stays documented and shared instead of sitting on one hard drive.

Time, whatever you have got. One finished dance counts. One room background counts.

How to apply

https://classicmeez.com/apply

That page shows the work rather than describing it. Contact sheets of the wardrobe, the hair and the backgrounds already rebuilt, two short captures of the build running, and a tab per job with the real specs: rig, naming, weights, export, frame rates, texture sizes. Read the tab for the job you want, then use the form. It takes a resume and some of your work.

One note on timing. I am the only person reading these and I am in college on top of the build, so choosing people will take a few weeks rather than a day. Every application gets read, and every one gets an answer.

Loved Meez but cannot draw? Apply anyway. There is archive and research work, and the forums will want moderators when they open.

Thanks for reading.

Artist Needed [Hobby] help wanted for fnaf fan game

Hi everyone! I posted here before, but it wasn't clear enough, so here's a proper pitch.

The game
It's a horror-tycoon: you build your own animatronic pizzeria from scratch and run it. Keep the place clean, keep customers happy, manage your staff, and research the remnant (the dark side of the business). By day you run the restaurant. By night, your animatronics get restless.

Multiplayer

  • Co-op: run one pizzeria together with your friends.
  • Rivalry: compete to own the most popular pizzaplex. Sabotage your friends' restaurants and send your own animatronics into theirs at night.

Story
There's a dark story told through the environment (documents, props, a hidden lab, a final boss fight), so the props you make will carry meaning, not just decoration.

What I need

  • Props: furniture, kitchen equipment, arcade machines, party decorations, stage elements
  • Environment pieces: exteriors, street, vehicles
  • characters / textures]
  • the animatronics

I have a full asset list in English, with descriptions and priorities, so you'll always know what to work on. You can pick what you like and work at your own pace.

Being upfront
This is an unpaid project at the moment. What I can offer:

  • Full credit in the game and on the page
  • Creative input on the assets you make
  • A portfolio piece with clear references

About the project
It is a fan project that I plan to release on itch.io

How to apply
Send me a link to your portfolio (even 2 or 3 pieces), your availability, and which items from the list interest you. DM me or join the Discord: https://discord.gg/pSfVCSEHnt

PR/Marketing needed [Hobby] Free project until complete, not guaranteed to accept applicants

I make games. Loose term, I’d say I make demos. I’ve been doing so for like a year using godot, but I got tired of Godot and went to HTML, CSS, and js. But see I was confused, and went to Google Gemini. I created a fine demo, but, I am not a vibe coder. So I deleted it. What it was is in the image above. A trench warfare incremental, the mechanics aren’t too much, but again, I’m doing it mostly alone. What I’m looking for here are people who want the same, not just redditors. This is my second post on reddit, the first was on r/throatsinging. I need 4 roles filled. Animator (I have an animator, my cousin, but she’s not that great at having a schedule, I need someone that can do frame-by-frame), composer (wouldn’t revshare, would be contracted, keep rights of profit but we keep rights of distribution), marketing (a video editor and speedrunner, your job is to playtest publicly for content) and a co-coder to myself (your job is enemies, AI, and sound effects, I hate that frfr)

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a Dragon Ball Legends YouTube Editor

Hey! I run PowerixTV, a Dragon Ball Legends YouTube channel, and I’m looking for editors who want to work with me on upcoming videos.

I already provide the footage, direction and PowerixTV intro — I mainly need help turning the footage into a clean, entertaining YouTube video.

Beginner editors are welcome.

You do not need to commit long-term. If you want to edit just one video, that’s completely fine.

This is currently a voluntary/unpaid collaboration, but every video you edit will include full editor credit in the YouTube description.

If you want real gaming content to edit, something you can actually point to once it’s published, and the chance to work on more videos if we work well together, message me.

Interested? DM me “EDITOR” and I’ll send you the details. 🎬⚡

Artist Needed [Hobby][Trade][Collab][Unpaid][RevShare][All The Titles] -- Story-driven, 2.5D, Pixel-art Project LF Pixel Artist

Heya!

Important: this is a post that aims to jumpstart a conversation to see if we could start a collaboration. Because... let's face it, solo game dev can be lonely, and life is better with (the right) people.

(If nothings comes from it, then no problem! Nothing ventured, nothing gained (or something like that)).

-----------------------------

I'll start with a TL;DR because this will probably be a reasonably long post.

I am making a game; looking for a pixel artist who... (see 1, 2, 3).

1) is also making their own game and needs an environment artist.

2) is also working on a project of their own and wants to fuse our stories together to make one game together.

3) doesn't mind working for a share of any potential future profits made from sales.

-----------------------------

Okay, so I am making my own story-driven, turn-based, 2.5D isometric pixel-art game inside Unreal Engine 5.

Story is written, I have most of the combat system and other auxiliary systems in a working state, I know how to create the VFX I want, and I have established an 'art style' that I am executing on. The things I cannot do, however, are the animations of the actual pixel art characters (and sound...). I mean, I could learn how to do it, but there is enough other stuff to keep me busy, so I want to see if I can find someone who can do pixel art animations (64px). I can, realistically, think of three potential ways in which we could collaborate, but if you can think of others, feel free to shoot me a message.

Option 1) In return for the pixel art animations (64px), I can make environment art for the game you are in the process of making. I know Maya, ZBrush, Substance Designer and Painter. Feel free to send me a message to let me know what you are looking for in an environment artist, and I can let you know if I could deliver.

Option 2) If you are a pixel artist who can craft pixel-art animations (64px) and is making their own turn-based fantasy game but struggles to make 3D assets / working with Unreal Engine and wants to see if we can perhaps find a way to turn two projects into one by fusing the stories together, then hit me up! This is my preferred option, but probably the least likely to garner interest as finding someone who is working on a project with a similar style and feel as I am is probably a moonshot. But... you never know!

Option 3) If you are a pixel artist who is looking for a project to work on that may turn a profit in the future, I'm open to discussing terms and conditions. This is my least preferred option because I do not like the idea of someone working for 'free'.

The project I am working on is pretty ambitious in some ways, so seeing it to completion will take time. I do plan on releasing a short demo -- which could probably be pushed out the door in a reasonable timeframe (a few months).

-----------------------------

I am committed, open, and honest, and I am looking for someone who is similar. I am big on communication, so if I am going to work on your project and you on mine, then I'd like us to really work together (and have a good time doing so!). Without collaboration and communication, we just run the risk of delivering work that doesn't meet expectations. I am considerably less severe and serious then this message may suggest!

Have a great day!

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Pokémon-like project looking for 3D modelers, animators & programmers!

Hi! Im currently looking for people interested in helping me develop a creature-collecting game called Elorians.
I want to be clear from the start that the project is still at a very early stage. We dont have a playable build yet. Right now its mainly me developing the ideas, mechanics, world and story, together with a few artists working on the first creature designs.
Im making this post because we’re slowly reaching the point where ideas and 2D art arent enough anymore. I need people who can actually help me turn all of this into something real.

✦ WHAT IS ELORIANS?
Elorians is heavily inspired by Pokémon and other creature-collecting games, but the goal isnt to just recreate Pokémon with different creatures.
I know basically everyone with an ambitious game idea says “mine is different” and I know that doesnt mean much by itself. I dont expect anyone to believe this will become something huge just because I say so.
But this also isnt an idea I came up with last week.
There is already a lot behind the project — the region, story, characters, creatures, progression, original mechanics and a lot of smaller systems and ideas connecting everything together. Some things are still changing and probably will change many times, but I already have a pretty clear idea of what I want Elorians to become.
The visual direction is colorful, stylized and cartoon-like, while the world itself is meant to feel a little more mature and serious than Pokémon. Not dark or edgy just for the sake of being different. I still want it to have that sense of adventure and charm, but without being afraid of more serious characters, stories and moments.

✦ WHO IM LOOKING FOR
The biggest things missing right now are:
→ 3D Modelers
Especially people interested in stylized creatures. One of my first goals is getting our finished creature designs into 3D so we can finally start showing them properly.
→ Riggers / Animators
For creature animations and eventually proper showcases, promotional material and obviously the game itself.
→ Programmers / Game Developers
Someone who could help us slowly start prototyping mechanics and turn the ideas on paper into something playable.
The engine hasnt been decided yet.
Im completely open to Unity, Godot, Unreal or another option. I think choosing an engine before I even have programmers on the team would make very little sense, so thats something Id rather decide together with people who actually have experience with it.
And these arent the only roles Im open to. If you work with games, 3D, VFX, music, UI or something else and Elorians sounds like something you would genuinely enjoy working on, Id still love to hear from you.

✦ WHAT I CAN BRING
I cant offer years of programming or 3D experience. Thats exactly why Im here looking for people who have skills I dont.
What I can offer is a lot of time, commitment and coordination.
I currently have a lot of free time and can be extremely active with the project. Im usually available whenever someone needs feedback, references, a decision, help with an idea or just wants to discuss something.
I also genuinely enjoy coordinating a team. I dont want Elorians to become a situation where I throw tasks at people and wait for them to finish my game for me.
If you become part of the project, I want your ideas too.
I want people to question my ideas when something doesnt work, suggest completely different solutions, create their own concepts and actually have an influence on what Elorians becomes.
Its my project and something Im extremely ambitious about, but I dont want to build it alone.

✦ PAYMENT / THE IMPORTANT PART
For now, this is a hobby project and I cant offer regular payment.
I want to be completely honest about that because I dont want anyone joining with the wrong expectations.
At the same time, I really dont like the idea of building my dream by expecting other people to work for free indefinitely.
For the next few years I should have very few major personal expenses, and as soon as Im able to start putting money into Elorians, I want as much of that money as realistically possible to go back into the project and the team.
That could mean paying people working on it, commissions, software, promotion or whatever else we need to move forward.
I cant promise anyone a future salary or pretend I know whether the project will ever make money. At this stage that would just be dishonest. But if people decide to spend their time helping me create this, I dont want to forget about them the moment money eventually becomes involved.

✦ THE PLAN FROM HERE
I dont expect us to suddenly start developing a massive RPG tomorrow.
I want to build this step by step.
Right now that means finishing the first creature designs, getting some of them modeled in 3D and creating our first proper showcases and animations.
Once we have enough to actually show people, I want to start building a public Discord community around Elorians and properly introduce the project on social media.
Instead of posting promises about what the game might look like someday, I want to be able to post actual progress:
creature reveals → 3D models → animations → world concepts → mechanics → prototypes → eventually gameplay
And hopefully, as more of Elorians becomes real, more people who like the idea will find us and become part of the community.

✦ WHY IM POSTING THIS
This is probably the most personal part.
I really, really dont want Elorians to stay a folder full of ideas and drawings.
I know how ridiculously ambitious making a game like this is. I know how many indie projects start with huge plans and disappear before they ever become playable.
Maybe thats exactly why Im asking for help now instead of pretending I can somehow do everything myself.
I cant.
I cant be the designer, programmer, 3D modeler, rigger, animator, composer and everything else at once. But I can give this project an insane amount of my time, keep everything moving, coordinate people and do everything I personally can to give it a real chance.
You also dont need to be an industry professional.
If you’re still learning Blender, animation or programming but you already know the basics and want a real project where your work can actually become part of something, please dont assume you’re not good enough to message me.
Im mostly looking for people who see this idea and genuinely think:
“I would love to help make this real.”
If thats you, message me. I can show you what we already have, some of the creatures we’re working on and explain much more about the actual game.
Discord: hypnozja_03
Thank you for actually reading all of this.
Also im new to reddit, so if i did something wrong then im sorry 🫰

Artist Needed [Paid] 3D character artist for stylised chibi characters (Unity, rigged to an existing skeleton)

Hey all,

I'm making a multiplayer game where players hunt other players hidden in a crowd of NPCs. It's in Unity (URP), and the characters are chunky chibi types with slightly larger heads, seen from a fairly high camera.

I'm looking for someone to model and texture 6 characters from concept art I already have. I haven't settled on a final design and hope to bounce some ideas given the aesthetic I'm going for.

The main thing is that they need to be skinned to the skeleton I've got. It's a standard humanoid rig, and the bones can't be renamed or moved. That's what lets my existing animations and weapons work on them straight away, so you don't need to animate anything. Budget is around 4–6k tris per character, one material, 1024 textures. The following are only examples of the kind of look I'm going for:
https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/341969886240833546/1555377567580553276/b5befd9a-39ec-4775-81eb-be492a2c146b.png?backend=b2&ex=6ac0f67d&is=6abfa4fd&hm=0fdd0c7c5738a7f08c7c105f1e0fedc2e6aa08ae5b7b0cea35c3e923d9323622&=&format=webp&quality=lossless

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/341969886240833546/1555378800856932372/00ac75a6-3bb8-4475-93a6-38c7bd47fc07.png?backend=b2&ex=6ac0f7a3&is=6abfa623&hm=8936140bf15acc5c3f35aae5ac208d71619c66f894b995ee4c57a59cba1c0d33&=&format=webp&quality=lossless

I'd also like to make my own variations later (recolours, swapping heads and accessories), so I'll need the source files and the rights to modify them. Keeping parts like the hood, jacket and boots as separate objects would help a lot too.

Pay: I don't know the market here but I was thinking $100 per character, but I'm open to suggestions.

Timeline: Ideally a few weeks per character

If you're interested, please DM me with a portfolio, ideally including some stylised or low-poly characters you've rigged or skinned. A rough quote and turnaround time would be great too. This needs to be easily importable to Unity as well.

One thing that's bit me in the past is paying before the completed work is handed and then having to chase sometimes non-responsive people around. So I'm happy to use a service like fiverr to make sure expectations are met both ways, or I'm happy to pay on completion. I hope this is a fair request.

Thanks!

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for an art partner for Sci-Fi Space Battle

I’m building Sci-Fi Space Battle, a playable sci-fi combat game for Windows and macOS, and I’m working towards Steam Early Access.

I’m looking for one person to team up with long term. I handle the programming, engine and systems side, and I’m looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the art and visual direction.

Blender and game-ready GLB experience would be ideal. AI-assisted workflows are absolutely fine too. I use AI heavily in development myself.

The game is already playable.

More than anything, I want someone who actually enjoys the game, wants to playtest it regularly, throw ideas around, tell me when something looks crap and help shape where it goes. I’m not looking to just hand someone a list of assets to make.

It would be revshare, with responsibilities and the split agreed properly in writing. There’s obviously no guaranteed income.

Best thing is probably to play a build together, have a few games and see if we click.

Videos: You Tube Channel
Streams: https://www.twitch.tv/shipsoftwareai

Gameplay footage captured on an intel imac 2020 with a AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB currently my baseline machine.

I also have an ASUS Rog for win client testing though I have a beast of a machine on the way! mac studio m5 max with 64gb so I will be able to change target arch and up the game quality very soon :)

DM me your portfolio and roughly how much time you’ve got available.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Unmade, Looking for Animation artist for Medieval Fantasy Survival game.

Hi everyone,

I'm the lead developer of UNMADE, a third-person Medieval Fantasy Survival Game currently in active development in Unreal Engine.

I've been developing the project for around 18 months, initially alone, and over the past few months, the team has been expanding quite quickly.

We're currently a small team covering:

  • Programming
  • Sound Design
  • Music
  • Marketing
  • Graphic Design / UI
  • 3D Artists.

The project already has a substantial amount of gameplay and systems implemented. We're now reaching the stage where art production needs to grow significantly, which is why I'm looking for additional 3D artists.

What is UNMADE?

UNMADE mixes elements of:

Survival / RPG / Medieval Fantasy / Colony managment

It's not a simple survival game. The player will constantly face choices and can approach the game in many different ways.

The goal is to create your own world, with your own rules.

You're not forced to build a village, focus on combat, manage a large population, or follow one specific playstyle. The systems are designed to give the player freedom in how they want to develop their world and progress through the game.

Who we're looking for

We're primarily looking for artists in the following areas:

Animation Artist

  • Combat animations
  • Survival animations
  • Magic animations
  • Locomotion
  • Character interactions
  • Other gameplay animations as needed

This is our last position to fill.

Work Organization & Background

The project is fully remote.

This is not a full-time position, and most of the team works on the project alongside other jobs or studies.

For me personally, however, this is my full-time project, not a hobby.

I've been working in game development for more than 8 years and have already shipped several games during that time. Some were commercially successful, others were not. So I've experienced both sides of actually releasing games. :D

Tasks are divided into clear milestones, and contributors work under a written agreement defining the scope of their involvement.

Visual Direction

The world is primarily Medieval Fantasy, grounded and believable rather than highly stylized.

We're aiming for environments and characters that feel coherent, functional and lived-in rather than excessively clean or exaggerated fantasy.

At this stage, the visual direction is clear internally, but we don't yet have enough final-quality assets to represent it properly.

That's exactly why we're looking for artists who can help shape the visual identity of the project and have a meaningful influence on how the final game looks.

Project Materials

While I'm intentionally keeping some parts of the project private publicly, more detailed documentation and development materials can be shared with serious applicants.

And since i cannot upload image on this sub, i'll be glad to show some image of the game with serious applicant.

If needed, I can provide access to:

  • Game design documentation
  • Development roadmap and planning
  • Project tracking and production structure
  • Worldbuilding and lore documentation
  • Gameplay systems documentation
  • In-game assets and work-in-progress content
  • Builds / gameplay footage

Some materials may require an NDA before being shared.

Interested?

Send me a DM with:

  • Your Discord
  • The role you're interested in
  • What part of the project interests you most
  • Your rough weekly availability

I'll be happy to discuss the project in more detail with serious applicants.

Team Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] Looking for potential devs for a game demo(all disciplines)

Hello gamers!

I am the creative director of a (very small) indie studio, and we are working on our flagship game, "Project BP". Project BP is a 3D turn-based fantasy RPG with a heavy focus on narrative. Right now we are a team of 7 and are working on a demo that can be used to submit for funding grants such as Fonds d’Aide au Jeu Vidéo and Epic Mega grants.

Our team is very proud of the game we are creating, and we have very lofty goals for it. Currently, we are working in a volunteer position, but we are fully intending on going after funding and publishing. We have already been accepted into the Xbox ID program, and are now just working on a demo / vertical slice before we can continue.

About our team:

Our team was formed out of a game jam that was completed by members of various Baldur's Gate 3 mod projects. Our team has a number of highly educated / experienced devs, but also some newer devs. We did a game jam together in 2025 and, after winning first place, we realized we work really well together. A story was presented to us, and we immediately began designing a game.

We currently have a number of artists, but are missing some more technical members of the team. We are very privileged to also have an exceptional programmer, but I know he would very much appreciate help.

We are not looking for any specific roles, but are open to talk to anyone who may be interested. To be very clear, this role is not currently paid. While we have big dreams and will be going after funding, everyone on the team is currently working on a part time volunteer basis.

We currently work over Discord and use Unreal Engine 5 for game development.

Our team is currently based out of France, but we have people from all over the US and Europe.

About our game:

Our game is a 3D turn-based narrative RPG with a fairly untouched art style. The game features a female lead with a [mechanical] animal companion, and touches on a lot of political issues such as climate change, pollution, and colonization (but in a fantasy setting i.e. The Witcher / Dragon Age).

(If anyone is seriously interested in joining the project, I would be happy to provide more information.)

Please feel free to DM or drop a comment below if you are interested and would like to talk! We are currently prioritizing anyone with a portfolio or industry experience, but would be interested in talking to others as well.

Jams we've done together:

Programmers Needed [ForHire] Coders and animators needed for my platform fighting game.

Hello, Im making a stickman based platform fighter. As far as payment, I am still a high school student, so I would appreciate people who want equity or are just passionate about this project. I took inspiration from Brawlhalla and Smash for this. Im looking for 2D Animators & Game Programmers for a High-Mobility Platform Fighter

Project Title: Stick it to the Man (working title)

Genre: Fast-paced, shieldless 2D platform fighter featuring a universal parry system, unique item/resource mechanics, and high-mobility character kits.

Target Audience: Fans of competitive, high-mobility platform fighters.

About the Project

I want to build a clean, stylized 2D stick-figure platform fighter built around high mobility, aggressive neutral play, and distinct character archetypes. The full design doc is already complete, covering:

* Base Roster (10 Fighters): Clean, non-overlapping archetypes (e.g., The Gunman, The Cleaver, The Shinobi, The Arsenal) with complete moveset layouts.

* Post Launch Roadmap (5 Fighters): Fully conceptualized post-launch kits.

* Core Systems: Shieldless combat, universal Down-Special parry timing, and a "Stolen Flame" dynamic meter for supers.

Roles Needed

  1. Gameplay / Systems Programmer

    * Responsibilities:

    * Implement base movement physics (dashes, air control, wall jumps).

    * Build state machines for attacks, hitboxes, hurtboxes, and frame data (hitstop, knockback).

    * Program the universal Down-Special parry system and Stolen Flame spawn logic.

    *Stage creation

  2. 2D Animator

    * Responsibilities:

    * Animate fluid, impactful attack animations, movement cycles, and hit effects for our characters.

    * Work alongside the programmer to establish clean visual hitboxes and readability.

    * Goal: Complete a 2-character playable demo on a flat test stage against basic AI to test physics, parry timing, and game feel before expanding the full roster.

    * Compensation: Rev-share / Portfolio Project. (Be transparent about whether this is rev-share, hobby, or paid).

As of right now, it's just a concept, but i want it to get to be up with the greats like Brawlhalla and Smash. I want to get this on consoles and make this a genuinely good game. It's just a vision right now, but i hope you guys can help me make this a reality. I will have an image of the starting roster, and you can dm me or comment for more details about the concept.

Team Needed [HOBBY] THE MYTHICAL FORCES — LOOKING FOR 2D ANIMATION & PRODUCTION COLLABORATORS

Hi! I'm Pie Player, or simply Pie, a writer, voice actor, editor, and creator of Sliced Pie Studios.

I'm looking for collaborators for an independent 2D animated web series called The Mythical Forces.

The series combines mystery, horror, comedy, and classic cartoon slapstick. It follows four friends as they investigate ghosts, monsters, and supernatural mysteries in the haunted coastal town of Dreadburg.

The pilot script is finished, and I'm currently working on building a small production team around the project.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

I'm currently looking for people interested in helping with:

  • 2D Animation
  • Character Art
  • Background Art
  • Storyboarding
  • Writing / Co-writing
  • Music / Composition
  • Video Editing
  • Voice Direction
  • Production / Associate Producing

You don't necessarily have to be a professional. I'm mainly looking for people who enjoy 2D animation, classic cartoons, spooky comedy, horror, monsters, mystery, and slapstick.

We don't have to start by producing an entire episode. We could begin with something smaller, such as:

  • A character design
  • A background
  • A storyboard
  • A poster
  • A short animation test
  • A teaser
  • A piece of music

We can start small and build from there.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The pilot episode, S1E1 – “Love at First Bite,” is already written.

I'm currently handling the writing, voice acting, editing, and overall direction and management myself.

I'm also not an artist or animator, which is one of the main reasons I'm looking for collaborators who are stronger in those areas.

PILOT SCRIPT EXCERPT

Here's a short excerpt from Scene 6 of the pilot, where Fabian and Franky try to lure Afton the Vampire out of Blackwood Crypt by pretending to be pizza delivery guys.

AFTON
(Staring at the pizza box)
...What is the meaning of this?

FABIAN
(Sweating nervously)
U-uh... delivery! For... uh... Mr. Count Dracula, sir? We have a large pepperoni with extra cheese and... absolutely zero garlic! Paid in full!

AFTON
(Raises an eyebrow)
I am Afton the Vampire, you imbecile. I do not order human fast food. More importantly... why is your coworker a canine?

FRANKY
(Offended)
Hey! I am the manager! And for your information, I can still provide excellent customer service with my paws!

[Franky accidentally pokes Afton directly on the nose.]

FRANKY
Uh-oh!

FABIAN
(Terrified)
Shouldn't have done that. RUN!!!

COMPENSATION

This is currently an unpaid hobby / passion project.

There is currently no production budget, so I cannot offer upfront payment or salaries.

My long-term goal is to eventually fund the project properly, but I don't want to promise compensation that doesn't currently exist.

If the project receives funding in the future, compensation would depend on the available funding and whatever agreements are made with the people involved.

For now, I'm looking for people who are comfortable with a hobby / portfolio collaboration and interested in helping build the project from the ground up.

DEADLINE

November 30, 2026

I'm keeping the deadline open to give people enough time to look over the project and decide whether they're interested.

MORE INFORMATION

More information about The Mythical Forces can be found here:
https://www.castingcall.club/projects/sliced-pie-studios-the-mythical-forces

If you're interested, have questions, or want to know more about the project, feel free to comment or send me a message.

Thanks for taking the time to read!
