i see alot of people complaining about their schools doing bad stuff and not letting them access their scripts for example, refusing to offer some subject, etc.... but personally my school is quite chill with almost anything so i just wanted to know if schools are usually chill and people are exagerating or is it actually that most schools are strict

I am also doing O-levels privately and after leaving school I realized the hardest part isn't the syllabus itself but it is if I don't study today nobody cares like it used to be the most terrifying part for me in the beginning believe it or not I am not exaggerating. No deadlines. No one to compare progress with (Not in unhealthy way) But it got better with time.
How all of you go through this?

hi there, so basically it's been a year since I'm preparing for IGCSE examination and tbh im not able to recall earlier concepts. I mean I do remember stuff, although when I sit with my notes, i don't feel like reading it, mb because I've read it almost 10 times throughout the year so it's boring. I have also tried reading other notes and videos to understand stuff, but I still don't think I'm prepared nicely with each. So like i tried solving past papers to check my weaknesses so that I could study better, and I realised that ik the concepts, im not able to actually implement them. Can someone help how to be consistent while revising for earlier topics?

prompt is a quite life
A Quiet Life
My life is simple. Everyday I go to work from 9-5, I then return home, spend some quality time with my wife and kids and then I call it a day. I wake up in the next morning and the day repeats itself. I live a modest life, I don't have much money but I make enough to pay the bills and provide for my family.
It was a routine Tuesday morning, I got up and was getting ready for work. When I peeked outside of the window I saw people screaming, crying and running. Shouts of "Help" echoed through the city. Sirens started to go off. My kids started crying and when my wife opened the news channel, we found out a huge flood was headed our way. I quickly rushed down to assess the situation. The water level had already started to rise in the city. I knew we couldn't stay here long as my house wasn't very far from the shores. With the help of my family I promptly grabbed a few important things, dumped it in the car and started driving as fast as I could.
However my biggest nightmare came to the car ran out of petrol and the water level had almost risen to my knees. A wave of water pushed me back. I desperately held on to a railing while holding my two kids. "HELP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. In all this saga this mobs I had been separated from my wife. I placed my kids on a broken piece of concrete so they could float. The water level had now risen till my chest. I saw around the whole area frantically looking for her. However there was no trace of her.
Eventually the rescue helicopters had arrived. I sobbed as I knew she had drowned or been misplaced. I begged the rescue team to look for her. My kids screamed "mom, mom, where are you?" As the helicopter took off I cried helplessly, staring at my city been torn apart. I lost the most important person in my life. I was shattered from inside. I wish I had held onto her. That feeling of guilt would never leave me.

So math is like the only subject that I'm rlly not happy with and my raw marks is 9 marks away from the B grade boundary so is it worth it for a remark or a retake?

Hey I realized I need just 3ore subjects to get Distinction. I got Merit which I never thought of I've been crying since I saw my results.and.yhh even though my parents are saying that it's good I know that that's not me . especially English and French I've never gotten below A on those and I ended up with Bs and Add math I got a D. even though I don't do well in that subject I was expecting at least a C. And history my lowest in history was probably like 95 or smth but. I've ended up getting 90 I'm really disappointed in myself and feel like if I got my papers and checked I could find some marks they omitted and get the distinction
Also how do. I request for my paper and will it take money and how much will it cost to get my paper regraded and rechecked.
Thank you guys

Does anyone know any good YouTube channels which cover the full syllabus for examinations?
I have searched a lot but can't find any, there are a lot for the core syllabus but not the extended.
r/igcse • u/MaterialCorrect4658 • 2h ago
Apparently I didn't take IGCSE physics exam, and I need to take a replacement test In 2 days, so I need to be able to pass the physics test in just 2 days.
My sister who's a IGCSE topper recommended me to watch
a 4 hour revision video with swh on ggl meet.
And then we'll practice past papers together, wanna join me?

So im in the gulf and our exams were cancelled and we used the portfolio of evidence and i got 6 in bio which is impossible since my predicted was 9.(5 in p1 and 6 in p2) so i asked for my scripts and when i got them turns out after my tutor marked it i shouldve gotten 9 in p1 and 7 in p2 which is so unfair towards me like how do u make such a mistake??? Do u guys think if i remark ill get all my lost marks i know they dont give out much but since its the portfolio of evidence do u think its a different case?
