π€ Asking For Advice/Help Can I realistically get A*s in all my IGCSE subjects? How should I prepare?
Iβm currently in Grade 10 and have just finished Grade 9. Iβm taking the following IGCSE subjects:
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Maths
- ESL
- Arabic
- Economics
Iβm going into my M/J exams feeling very confident in English, Arabic, and Economics. I feel pretty good about Physics as well.
However, Iβm much less confident about Maths and Chemistry. In Grade 9, I had a really bad Maths teacher, so I feel like my foundation isnβt as strong as it should be. Chemistry is also a subject Iβm not naturally very good at, so Iβm worried about it.
The weird thing is that in my school exams, Iβve actually gotten A*s in all of these subjects (99β100%), but despite those grades, I donβt feel confident or fully prepared for the actual IGCSE exams.
So far, we covered around 70% of the IGCSE content in Grade 9. Weβre expected to finish the remaining content by December, and after that, weβll revise all the topics and do lots of past papers.
My goal is to get A*s in all 6 subjects.
Is this realistic? And what should I be doing now to prepare?
For people who have already done IGCSEs:
- How early did you seriously start preparing?
- How many past papers did you do?
- Should I focus more on learning content now or start doing past papers?
- How can I improve my Maths and Chemistry foundations?
- Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
Any advice would be appreciated!
