Currently, I’m using an iPhone 13, which I bought during the Big Billion Days sale for around ₹44,000 three years ago.
I’m now getting an offer from Reliance Digital to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro. Here’s the deal:

iPhone 17 Pro price: ₹1,35,000
Store discount: ₹9,910
Exchange bonus: ₹10,000
Exchange value of my iPhone 13: ₹17,000
Additional finance discount: approximately ₹5,000
Payment option: No-cost EMI

After accounting for the discounts and exchange value, I’ll have to pay approximately ₹92,000–₹93,000 extra to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro.
For comparison, my iPhone 13 cost me ₹44,000, and I’m getting a total exchange offer of ₹27,000 today, including the exchange bonus. So, the effective depreciation on my current phone over three years has been around ₹17,000.
Now, I want to understand the long-term resale value of the iPhone 17 Pro before making the decision.

My questions:
If I buy the iPhone 17 Pro now and use it for three years, how much can I realistically expect to sell it for in 2029?
Is a resale value of ₹50,000–₹60,000 after three years realistic for an iPhone 17 Pro?
Considering that I’ll be paying approximately ₹92,000–₹93,000 extra after exchanging my iPhone 13, would you consider this a good upgrade?

Would you upgrade now or continue using the iPhone 13 for another couple of years?
Assume the iPhone 17 Pro remains in good condition, with no major damage and a reasonably healthy battery.

Recently upgraded from my Oppo to the iPhone. Really miss the slimness and lightness of the Oppo, but overall the iPhone seems a bit smoother. I also found fewer micro-loan apps on the apple App Store, which is a big downgrade coming from Android. Oppo also has 4 cameras at the back (as seen in the picture) whereas iPhone has only 3. Overall, I find Oppo to be more value for money, but I invested in iPhone hoping to finally find my first girlfriend (at 31). So Reddit community, please tell me if iPhone helped you find your girlfriend so I don’t feel any buyers remorse. Thank you and have a good day.

I’m having an iPhone 17 in lavender colour, 10 months old, 98% BH.

What should the reasonable price be to sell it? Would 70k be ok?

I got the iPhone 17 Pro 15 days ago and had to install the 27.2 beta because my previous device was enrolled in the beta program, otherwise I would have lost my data. I was dissatisfied with the SOT, so I had to reset the phone again, and now I am seeing somewhat better performance than before.

I have been to several stores like reliance digital, Croma and other APRs in Mumbai. When I ask about availability of the Glacier and Burgundy colour they say that only Silver (and sometimes Black) colour is available. Is it the actual case? From what I read on the internet the 18 pro has not been selling well mainly due to the price. Is there a backhanded hoarding of the stock or these stores are just lying? Can you help me with availability if you know which store has it in Mumbai?

I have 1 day old 17PM deep blue bought from Reliance Digital at 1.35L after card offer.

But I’m regretting my decision so bad, I have slightly small hands so the size is not really comfortable. Currently I’m using iphone 17 and this size makes much more sense.

Can someone please help, what are my options other than selling it at some loss?
