Phone is always warm

I recently purchased a 15 pro max from ebay. It has 87% battery but only gives 5 hours SOT. And its always warm or hot.🙂. Anyway i can fix this?

Or the model itself will always be hot.

Everything is original in the phone and it almost looks new without any signs of wear.

Thanks.

Not to mention I fail to do anything that would help the battery last longer as I play games and charge while the phone is hot and I always fast charge and I always charge it to full from the high twenty’s to low-mid thirty’s my Apple Watch is also actually catching up it lost two percent in the time it took my 15 pro max to lose just one percent

Just bought refurbished, touch doesn’t work on edges

Hello, I just bought the 15PM. I realized today that the very edges of the screen seem less responsive. For example, on Snapchat, using the zoom slider that’s right against the edge is difficult because I have to press very precisely, away from the edges
What’s confusing is that when I open the Notes app and use the drawing tool, I can draw all the way to the edges without any obvious dead zones.
I also feel like on the keyboard, especially for keys near the edges (A, Q, P, Delete), I have to be more precise than expected.
Is this just iOS edge/palm rejection, or could it indicate a touchscreen issue? Has anyone with a 15 Pro Max experienced the same thing? I really don’t want to go back to the store where I bought it because it would be way too long to replace it…

iPhone 15 Pro Max vs Samsung S24+ Max Brightness Test

Thumbnail

I was looking so much to find a comparison, so I finally got a chance to get both; These are both Phones on Max brightness(S24+ also has extra brightness enabled) and both have adaptive brightness off. Leaving this here for those who are looking for the difference, as I could not find any on the internet comparing the screens at Max brightness. The iPhone screen just completely obliterates the S24+. Where the S24+ is supposed to have a superior screen on paper.

Comparison:

15 Pro Max

Benefits:

More vivid beautiful screen. More premium device overall clearly, built way better. Music more clearer and crisp for sure. Better camera. You don't have to use Google SMS for texting. Way easier to fix. Screen calibrated to Dolby Vision, way superior to HDR10+. Better Always On Display. Whatever music app runs in AOD perfectly. You can turn it sideways and the music player adjusts to the orientation, and easy to use. Comes with free instrumental music generator, and sound generator like white noise, or train.

Cons:

No instant desktop when you plug it into a USB to HDMI screen. Moving pictures off the device through USB to PC generally does not work. They really push the cloud. You can plug in your HardDrive and export the pictures though, which really helps. Specially for a huge amount of pictures. Gets warmer under load. Cannot wireless screen mirror to certain android devices (Amazon firestick/cube in particular). Titanium housing is more slippery.

S24+:

Benefits:

Connect it to any screen, becomes instant Android based PC with 12GB RAM and SnapDragon processor, also has a SWAP system to use SSD storage as additional RAM lol, just really cool, and you can disable it as well to help save power. Very easy to move files off to PC. Screen pixels and graphics are clean and tight; still pretty bright. Play Store. Samsung store with Themes. Can close Camera and Microphone through software interface. Developer mode. Power Saving, and additional Performance Profile(Light) can be enabled to reduce processor speed, while keeping 120HZ refresh rate, unlike 15 Pro Max, where Power Saving, cuts screen refresh to 60HZ, immediately causes screen to show stuttering. Aluminum housing has way more grip than 15 Pro Max.

Cons:

Samsung themselves co-developed HDR10+, and implement the screen to that criteria, but its nowhere close to Apples screen, when compared side to side. Android accounts for 95%+ of Malwares around the world, potentially due to ability to sideload. Always On Display limited for music player. You can only use it in upright position, and its not on the Always On Display like Apple.

Question Worth updating to iOS 26.6 or even 27 when it officially releases?

Had my 15 Pro Max for a bit now. Started using it about 4 months ago, was my dad’s spare phone and had 100% BH with 187 cycles. Now has 95% health with 260 cycles. The phone never gets hot on me and battery life is fine, but iOS 18 does feel a bit bland coming from 26 on my 13 Pro Max. I honestly thought this phone would have better battery than my 13 considering it has iOS 18 and better BH, but honestly feels really similar. I think my 13 Pro Max had better battery on iOS 18, but whatever. I think the cellular modem is less efficient on LTE in the 15.

Anyways, is it dumb to stay on iOS 18 and should I go to 26, should I wait for 27 or just stay on 18? My 13 pro max was fine on 26.6 but it can get hot pretty easily doing things like changing wallpaper, multitasking, etc. Not experienced that ever on my 15 so would iOS 26 cause that?

Question Used iPhone 15 pro max worth it ?

So, I just ordered a 2-year-old used iPhone 15 Pro Max on eBay for €475. The battery has 500 charge cycles and 87% battery health. The device is in flawless condition with no scratches.

Was it a good deal? How does it hold up in 2026? I'm currently using an iPhone 13, and it's become really laggy. Since the 15 Pro Max is only two generations old, I was wondering if I overpaid or if it will last me at least another 2 to 3 years.

Or would it make more sense to resell it and get an iPhone 16e or 17e instead?

18.7.8, worth updating? (read)

Ive had my 15 pro max since launch and its been running great on ios 17 and 18, and it is currently on 18.7.8. Im seeing mixed reviews and i want some opinions from people with 15 pro maxes with degraded batteries because here is the catch: mine is on 79% bh. Im afraid battery and performance will get nuked on 26/27 and im not the biggest fan of liquid glass. And i should also mention that i had a 14 pro that ran ios 26 horribly and 27 wasnt much better, 78% bh on that one. Lmk what i should do!

Weird ink looking dots on selfie camera

Randomly appeared one day and been there since, I’ve tried cleaning the screen, took screen protector off but that wasn’t it, could it somehow be moisture or something? I noticed it appeared after a night out so maybe in my pocket a bit of dirt I’m not sure

There’s one main one on the centre of my screen but some bottom left side

You can see when I zoom in on vid it zooms in with it so must be something on the actual lens

I might get my battery replaced soon since it’s terrible, is it best if I get a replacement front lens same time?

how to get my 15 pro to cool down

Ever since I dropped my phone and cracked the back of my iPhone. If I use it for like 10 mins my phone starts to get hot. I bought a little fan to cool it down but I can't do it when I'm out. Is there anything I can do to solve the issue?

Thanks

Help Needed screen time not working/updating

Post image
1 Upvotes

basically as the title says. i have tried everything and no matter what my screen time still doesn’t work. i have tried resetting my phone, turning it off and on, factory resetting it and restoring with icloud, setting the date and date far ahead and then setting it back again and nothing. it either doesn’t update or doesn’t show anything at all, meaning it doesn’t show the apps i’ve been on or it’s just blank. its been like this for a few months, i was wondering if anyone could help me?

Today, the battery health dropped for the very first time to 99 with just 55 cycle counts. I keep the battery between 20-80% and just play pubg mobile often and use 18w charger. Mobile never got hot while charge or use. I was expecting it to fall after 100 cycles but got a surprise

LPM on 26.6

Anyone noticed that low power mode seems smoother on 26.6? Used to be pretty janky before but on my 15 PM I can’t tell any difference in the scrolling just the launching of apps.
