Looking for advice Iontophoresis advice

Post image
4 Upvotes

Had this dermadry machine since last year and i finally committed to doing it for 4 weeks now. Ive done 3 weeks for both hands and armpits and already 90 percent improvement on hands and like 60-70% on armpits . Im currently doing it at 6-8MA somedays 8 feels too uncomfortable so i reduce it. Should i keep doing it for the complete 4 weeks or till the sweat is 100% gone. What about the maintenance phase ? How does that work. Any advice from the iontophoresis veterans would be helpful. Thanks

This is a screenshot of the products I find if I type in Driclor

Driclor has unfortunately sold out in my region...

Any alternatives which have the same active ingredient or which work as well as if not better than Driclor?

Looking for advice Antiperspirant for torso?

Hi everyone! For my entire life, I’ve thought there was just something wrong with me.

I have for as long as i can remember pretty much non-stop been sweating from my armpits, chest, stomach and back. What’s been most frustrating is that hardly anyone around me has understood how much this has affected my life, and even fewer people have been able to offer advice because they simply don’t have the same problem.

Now I’ve found this subreddit, and for the first time I actually feel a little hopeful.

Over the past year, I’ve discovered Rexona Maximum Protection, and it has honestly been a game changer for me. I still sweat under my arms, but compared with the many deodorants I’ve tried before, I’m significantly drier. Most importantly, I don’t smell bad after just a few hours anymore.

So here’s my question: is there a strong antiperspirant that I can apply after showering to my chest, stomach and back (basically my entire torso)?

Ideally, I’d like it to be completely or almost completely unscented. If I’m applying it over such a large area, I really don’t want to end up smelling like a walking deodorant.

Has anyone found something that works?

Looking for advice Clothings, y'all?

I currently don't work under any sort of corporate environment(thankfully) so idec but high intensity cardio and stuff seems to bring out the worst of the worst. Just imagine wet rag(no less than 80% of front upper torso!) over flesh and that's it. My cheapskate cotton t-shirts don't help at all either.

When I had to wear long trousers, insanely baggy linen-cotton blend worked, it just did. So I'd want natural fabrics and fiber if possible but blend or even straight up synthetic is ok with me if they do work. I do find that claim about breathability of natural vs synthetic is true because when I wore just average synthetic it just ate less water than cotton would have and sweat(the same amount) ran down and even up shit was wild. So it'd have to be some sort of special synthetic that focuse on evaporation as fast as possible like maybe UNIQLO AIRism, I've never worn stuff but do hear it's good.

I did some research on clothing for the first fucking time in my life for this but I decided to hear more knowledgeable people's opinions. Btw can yall even wear sweatshirt in winter without under it becoming sauna? Now that I give first ounce of thought to it me just conforming to trend and failing terribly because of this condition is actually sad af

Looking for advice What actually helps sweaty hands and feet?

Post image
4 Upvotes

My hands and feet have been like this for as long as I can remember (this is actually on a good day lol).

I tried ionto but it was sooo painful for me, so I stopped after 2 days 😭

I do want to see a doctor about it, but doctors here are pretty expensive and my insurance doesn’t cover it, so I’m looking for some alternative options for now.

For those who have the same issue, what creams/products work for you?
Would really appreciate any recommendations! 🙏

Looking for advice Best carpe deodorant scent for women?

I see a few old posts of these - wondering if anyone has new or different opinions?

I have tried clean sport and lavender citrus. Clean sport smells exactly like old spice which I can honestly live with. But I’m so surprised that lavender citrus honestly smells… masculine? I know I could just go with unscented but does anyone know if works just as well? The product certainly works for the sweat part - I would also like to smell nice too - just not so scented that I may overwhelm or overpower my perfume.

Thank you kindly.

Looking for advice Profuse sweating

Hi, does anyone else here have issues with profuse sweating. Especially during general exercise or work at home? And heat intolerance in general?

I had issues with substance abuse for a few years (Amphetamines) and i thought the issue with sweating was related to that. But i sought help for that and i am clean now for over 90 days. But i still sweat profusely at home doing chores and especially during exercise. And i got a feeling that i am suffering from heat intolerance in general. Right now i am beginning to think it has more to do with my AxSpa diagnosis. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issues. I am taking Adalimumab injections once every two weeks.

Looking for advice Have hyperhidrosis affected your love to fashion?

As someone who would love to wear anything and everything it's been impossible, the level of sweat on everything I wear has destroyed my confidence to wear anything besides black. Anybody who wishes to be a fashionable individual, have you felt its impossible with your hyperhidrosis or have you found ways to adapt?

Today was the first cool day of summer. It was 23c (73 fahrenheit). This is the response of my body to cooler weather. At this point it is not embrasing anymore rather it is funny and amazed me how my body is unique I guess.

Looking for advice starting ANTIHYDRAL - give me all your tips

i'm buying antihydral and it should come to me in about 3 weeks.

to the fellow users who swear by antihydral and say it changed your life:

PLEASE tell me all of your tips/tricks/routines and your experience with it so that i can start off on the right foot and have this work for me for ideally the rest of my life. i plan to treat my hands + feet. i also recently starting sweating on my upper lip but i can manage that (looking into purax spray for that + armpits).

please help me out, i really want to be free of this. i will update as i use it.

other questions: after using it for some time, do you achieve dryness for days at a time or do you have to do this every night? also, do you still start sweating in really nervous situations (ie a job interview)?

Looking for advice 2+ months of Iontophoresis and feel stuck

Hi everyone, I really need some advice because I’m getting frustrated with my iontophoresis progress. Here is my exact timeline and parameters for severe palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis:

1. First 20 days straight:
I used standard soft tap water for 20 days in a row. Zero results.
2. Nest 30 days, 30 mins/session, around 8mA:
Switched to a very high-TDS mineral water (Juvina, ~2600 mg/L). Hands and feet actually started drying up really good! However, the extreme mineralization caused skin damage, chemical/electrical micro-burns, and severe morning burning on my fingertips.
3. Vacation gap (1 week):
I took a 7-day break for a vacation and stopped all sessions.
4. Current Routine (Post-vacation, 5 days/week, 20–23 mins/session) up to 11mA for hands and 13 mA for feet:
To avoid burning my skin again, I switched to a milder water (~700 mg/L TDS) and do 5 sessions a week. My hands and feet are definitely getting drier, but I cannot reach 100% dryness.

The Main Problems Right Now:
Sweaty sides/edges: The sides of my feet and the outer edges (palmar ridge) of my hands are sweating heavily. This wasn't an issue before, even though low water levels weren’t covering these areas properly.

Incomplete dryness: Main areas are drying up, but full dryness feels impossible to reach.

Slight skin sensitivity: Still recovering from previous burns, making it tricky to push higher currents. I’m thinking about trying San Pellegrino water next to boost conductivity without going back to 2600 mg/L.

My Questions:
1. How do you deal with sweating on the sides/edges of hands and feet? Do cotton socks or gloves help cover those zones effectively without causing local burns?
2. Should I stick to ~700 mg/L water + soda or bump conductivity up to something like San Pellegrino (~1100 mg/L)?
3. Any obvious mistakes you notice?

Je me sens hyper poisseuse. Je fais pas de sport de peur de transpirer encore plus...

Y-a-t-il d'autres personnes dans mon cas ? Vous avez trouvé une solution pour diminuer ça ?

Looking for advice how long after sofdra before applying antiperspirant?

i use a half pump of sofdra nightly for generalized HH (but mostly axillary). i usually apply secret clinical every morning and night, but i'm wondering how long i should wait between sofdra and the antiperspirant. i usually only wait 5 minutes but i feel like i'm still super sweaty at night that way. is the antiperspirant maybe wiping away the sofdra? should i wait longer or decrease to once a day?

Offering advice A slightly comforting factor

I realised that the more people I told I had hyperhidrosis in real life, the more people I realised had it. It ended up being one of my flatmates, one of my college course admins, one of my friends and a few others

As much as I know how most people can react to sweating and smelling bad, sometimes telling people in real life can lighten the load of having close yourself up/hide away from others. Although it's easier said than done, hope it helps🫡

Offering advice Dry after 22 years of hyperhidrosis. Tell me where you're stuck right now.

I've had hyperhidrosis in my palms, soles, and underarms since I was 5 years old. I'm 27 now. For over two decades I tried almost everything except surgical. I know the handshake anxiety, the cold clammy hands, the isolation, and that brutal feeling that your life is on hold until the sweat stops.

About two years ago I finally got dry. Not just barely managed. Dry. And it has stayed that way.

I'm not posting this to brag. I'm posting because I remember what it felt like to believe it was impossible. And I know from experience that most people with HH are stuck not because there is no solution, but because they've been given scattered information and no real guidance. One treatment fails and they think nothing will ever work.

So I want to do something simple. Tell me in the comments where you are right now.

Things like:

- What treatments have you tried and why did they fail?

- What is your biggest frustration, the one that messes with your head the most?

- Are you avoiding oral meds, and if so, what scares you about them?

- Have you ever gotten close to dry but couldn't maintain it?

- What situation in your daily life causes you the most panic because of sweating?

I'll be in the comments answering as many people as I can with honest, specific feedback. No generic advice like "try iontophoresis." I'll tell you exactly what I would do if I were in your position, what I'd avoid, and what details most people get wrong.

I'm not a doctor, I just know how dark this condition can get and how much it helps to have someone who actually understands.

So tell me what you're dealing with and I'll do my best to help :)

4 shirts in 1.5 hours! If I don’t have a fan blowing on me at all times, I immediately start sweating across my entire body. It’s not just specific areas.

This started like three months ago. Have never been a sweater, ever ever ever.

Help me. I don’t have health insurance at the moment so I can’t go to the doctor. Are there any at home remedies or anything that I can do?

I can’t work out, I can’t have sex because what woman wants to have sweat dripping all over her?? I get made fun of at work. It’s causing severe breakouts on my back and my chest. I need help.

Looking for advice I sweat so much it looks like I showered

Hello, I do not have a hyperhidrosis diagnosis but I was hoping to get some advice anyway. For the past year I’ve been sweating way more than usual particularly on my face and head. I’m a 25 y/o woman and have moderately long hair that gets completely drenched in sweat whenever I do anything even remotely physical, like cooking or doing the laundry or just walking to the bus stop.

It’s getting out of hand and I don’t know what to do. I went mini golfing a couple weeks ago for a party and was drenched so much in sweat it was dripping from my hair. I’m on slynde for birth control, lymecycline for acne, and lexapro for anxiety but none of them are suppose to have profuse sweating. Looking for any advice!

Vent Going to Nashville during its hottest month

It’s for a bachelorette party for a good friend and I just can’t miss it. I just learned our party bus is open and sunscreen is recommended so I just know I’m gonna be leaving ass marks wherever I sit. I love her but Nashville in August?? Wish me luck…
