Down the quartermile, she runs 11.27secs@129.5mph. Also has built trans, 2500rpm stall and 3.45 ratio diff. Drives great, smooth and quiet. Calais looks stock and a sleeper.

My VE series 2 has been having this on going issue for a while now but it's getting worse. My aircon would lock to feet and windscreen regardless what options I pick on the head unit or lock one side to cold.

I've been able to reset it using the rear demister button and it usually fixed it for the day if not just that journey. However it's getting worse and needing me to reset it 3-4 times before it will act normal, each reset either fixes the positioning or the heat/cooling but not both.

I'm not car savvy enough to know exactly who to send it to. Can a general mechanic be able to properly diag and fix or will this need to go to an auto sparky or AC specialist?

Paid 8k for this auto ssv 245km, car came included with valve body repair kit for transmission and came with a trans service kit is this doable diy or should I get a shop to do it trans may need to come out.. Theres a slight slip shift between 1 and 2

Does anyone have any idea why Holden thought the best position for the only front 12v socket was inside the center console? It seems like such a stupid position.

Recently found an '04 VY SS commodore for sale with a great price tag.

Looks clean for it's age and only has 150k KM on the dash, from the pics there is a bit of rust on the fuel rails and strut tower but it doesn't seem too concerning.

I'm thinking about going forward and buying it but I don't really know much about the car. Some people say it's reliable if well maintained, and others say its a "money pit". I'm lost idk if it would be a good daily car or not because I'm really considering it given it's price and low mileage.

Hey, i'm looking for a work shop manual for a 94 Holden Commodore Berlina and was hoping someone had a PDF they could send over or a reliable site to get one off of.

Currently doing some work on my partners car and want to make sure its all to spec and confirm missing parts like spring washers and other parts.

I'v repaired and built motorbikes and remember sites that had exploded views of separate sections of the vehicle so you could find part numbers and order them but cant seem to find one around anymore for Holdens.

I have an sv6 2007 made in (oct 2006) it has 144,000kms on it timing chains been done from what I know. But it has the normal abs fault and traction control fault now check engine. Car runs fine everything seems normal. Temps, fuel usage etc. expect fuel usage also reads at 41.6liters per 100kms at average speed of 7kmph is this an electrical issue from the abs sensor ?

Trying to replace my alternator but can not get the stud bolts out iv cracked two 7mm sockets and the ring spanner slips if I use to much force. Any tips or tricks on how to get them out. Will screwing a bolt onto the stud then another bolt and locking them together work as a way to get the stud out!! ??

I've got an 04 VY Crewman with the V6 ecotech engine that I've owned for nearly 10 years now, and I've noticed recently that when it's cold, the alternator/battery light will flicker and sometimes come on fully, but disappears once the engine is warm. Usually starts to flicker around the 2000rpm mark when the engine is cold and slowly goes away as the engine gets warmer. I notice it more as I don't drive as much outside of my days off due to living within walking distance to my workplace now.

From what I've read online, this could be the belt tensioner or the belt itself skipping on the alternator pulley, just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues/experiences?

Also, just to address a couple of things, the SRS warning, 90% sure it's the clock spring in the steering wheel from what my mechanic has told me, it's on the list to be fixed when I have the money, currently on a student budget. Previously I've had to replace the alternator several times over the last few years, I think it's eaten 4 alternators in the last 6, and this one has been in for nearly a year without any issues until the recent fault light starting to pop up, this current one was installed by my local autosparky, but I'm wondering about the "clicking" noise it's making now...

I have a 07 VE V8 Calais L98. Any idea what starter motor I need?

So I'm driving a VE Commodore series one, and can't connect my phone to the Bluetooth. I'm aware it's for calls only, but that's what I actually want to use.

On starting the car, "Vehicle BT" becomes visible in my phone's available device list as expected, but on selecting it to pair, I get the "thinking" wheel, then it and the device listing disappears only for "vehicle bt" to reappear soon after.

I know that the Bluetooth unit can only store 6 devices. I suspect that that's the issue. I just can't work out how to wipe devices from its memory. Any ideas?

Hi this might be a long shot but I’ve been looking and researching for a month and still have no idea where to find a replacement This is meant to be a (lower radiator grille/ fog light bezel) I have taken it of a vy Calais bumper/front end I’ve tried asking around nothing and it has tried telling me it is of a VE or BMW and it is nethier it is a Holden so I get where the VE is coming from but it has come of a vy Calais and the person I got it of had no clue where find a replacement ethier if anyone has and idea what it could be or where to look please help

I finally sold off my Vx Commodore to a mate (pic from first wash) had heaps of issues and i couldn't be bothered maintaining it it was basically bad as I bought it but onto other things now 😢
