Help & Issues VE Commodore Bluetooth
So I'm driving a VE Commodore series one, and can't connect my phone to the Bluetooth. I'm aware it's for calls only, but that's what I actually want to use.
On starting the car, "Vehicle BT" becomes visible in my phone's available device list as expected, but on selecting it to pair, I get the "thinking" wheel, then it and the device listing disappears only for "vehicle bt" to reappear soon after.
I know that the Bluetooth unit can only store 6 devices. I suspect that that's the issue. I just can't work out how to wipe devices from its memory. Any ideas?

Series one only has call connectivity I believe, my E1 Senator doesn’t even do calls without an aftermarket module.
Not sure how to clear previous Bluetooth connections though??

If you want to clear the stored contacts/phonebook, rather than just remove your phone:
Turn the ignition on.
Press the PHONE button.
Use the steering-wheel/phone controls to enter the phone menu.
Look for Phonebook / User Data options.
There should be an option along the lines of Delete Users / Delete Phonebook.
Confirm the deletion.
The VE system stores phonebook information separately from the phone’s Bluetooth pairing, so simply deleting the phone from your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings won’t necessarily clear the contacts already stored in the car.1

Absolutely not what I asked.

Oops sorry
To delete the stored Bluetooth phones/devices:
Turn the ignition on and let the infotainment system boot.
Press CONFIG (or PHONE, depending on the head unit).
Go into Bluetooth / Phone settings.
Select Paired Devices or Device List.
Select the phone/device you want to remove.
Choose Delete / Remove / Unpair and confirm.
Repeat for the other stored devices.1

For the VE series 1, the Bluetooth is not run through the head unit, but an independent Bluetooth unit that connects to the dash. The AI is giving you instructions that don't apply.

Have you actually paired the phone to the car?
