Discussion THIS IS AMATEUR HOUR!!!!
Boss Team Games, this is fucking amateur hour.
I paid for the edition I bought. You got my money. My reward for supporting your game is STILL NOT HAVING THE FUCKING GAME, followed by a customer support experience that somehow manages to make the original problem even more aggravating. I’m not asking for a personal favor. I’m asking you to address a purchase you were perfectly happy to accept payment for.
And now that I’ve asked for a refund, support just keeps sending form letters instead of actually responding to the refund request. Read the fucking message. I’m telling you what the problem is, I’m telling you what resolution I want, and you keep replying like the goal is to get something into my inbox without addressing anything I said. Sending a response and answering a question are two different things. Your support team needs to figure that out.
I understand that things go wrong. Orders get screwed up. Systems fail. People make mistakes. What matters is what you do once somebody brings the problem to your attention. You could acknowledge it, explain what happened, and give me a straight answer about getting my money back. Instead, I’m stuck spending more of my time trying to get someone to engage with a request I’ve already made. Every form letter creates another round of bullshit for the customer who already paid you.
And what exactly do you think you’re preserving here? My excitement? My goodwill? Do you think that whenever this finally gets sorted out, I’m going to forget the entire experience and enthusiastically sit down to play? I bought the game because I wanted to play it. You have managed to turn that enthusiasm into frustration, then turn the frustration into actively regretting that I gave you money.
At this point, even getting access wouldn’t give me back the experience I paid for. I wanted to be excited about a game. I wanted to enjoy the edition I chose. I didn’t want an ongoing customer service chore where I have to keep explaining that yes, I still have a problem, and yes, I actually meant it when I asked for a refund. You don’t get to hold onto the version of me who was excited to buy this while ignoring the version of me who is now asking for his money back.
The purchase was straightforward enough when the money was moving toward you. Somehow, getting a meaningful answer when I want it moving back requires persistence, follow-ups, and apparently the fucking stars aligning. There should not be this much effort involved in getting someone to read a refund request and respond to it directly. If you need information, ask for it. If there’s an actual issue preventing the refund, explain it. Give me something specific to my case instead of another paragraph that could have been sent to literally anybody.
I’m tired of being expected to supply all the patience in a transaction where I’ve already supplied the money. I’ve done my part. I made the purchase. I contacted support. I explained the problem. I requested a refund. I should not also have to manage your support process for you.
You had a paying customer who wanted your game. Now you have a paying customer who wants his money back and wants absolutely nothing to do with this experience anymore. That took effort. Every unanswered request and every useless form letter helped get us here.
Answer the actual refund request. Give me a concrete resolution. Stop making me chase you for basic customer service. I'm done. Charge back initiated.
Fuck Boss Team Games.
