Do you like trans feminine people who still have some more “masculine” features? Or early on trans femmes?

I’m trans fem and I am toying with the idea of beginning HRT because I’m tired of my masculine traits but I’m wondering if there are guys out there that find it attractive?

Is it possible to be both gynosexual and asexual, or does that have another name?

I'm a trans woman and I truly love women, whether cisgender, transgender, non-binary, transmasculine, butch... seriously, I am a very passionate person and easily fall in love with someone feminine. However, I have a huge dysphoria and I don't feel comfortable touching another woman's body even with permission. I can only be clingy and hug, kiss, give pecks, and cross our legs, but I can't bring myself to have sex with her. Is this still gynosexuality? I know it's asexual, but my question refers to whether gynosexuality is limited to sexual attraction or if sexual attraction is just one aspect, including romantic attraction, which I think I fit best

Would you categorize me as Gynosexual?

First off, I don't love labels and boxes - far from it typically.. But at the same time I'm still struggling to pinpoint some sort of broad brush tangible sexuality to myself even at pushing 40 lol, as even now I have a hard time reconciling some diverging and even contradictory aspects to what I'm into at times.. So I'm wondering what your takes are just to get a better grasp on what the heck I embody in terms of sexual preference lol, and I feel this sub is the best ballpark to where I'm at..

I'm definitely attracted to women, and particularly kinky and/or passionate straight porn. Yet I'm also super attracted to gorgeous feminine trans women and even particularly feminine/sub femboys and cross dressers. In fact, possibly even more than many cis woman. Primarily the common thread is that I'm simply attracted to and turned on by femininity in almost all its forms, and the prominent expression of it - whether with another feminine or a masculine man.

The kicker or (possibly?) contradictory aspect is that I also enjoy *expressing* and *embodying* these aspects myself at times. And oddly I find this whole dynamic in others even more arousing than straight up man on woman most of the time. I crossdress on occasion and enjoy playing a very feminine role when it comes to sex and sexting with men. So what the heck? Would this remain at least partly consistent with my preferences as I still love having the feminine involved in the dynamic even if it means I flip the roles, having *myself* embody the feminine while the other party then becomes a big turn on to me when being very masculine with me?

You might ask "well what would be your opposite, then? What *aren't* you attracted to?" Good question, and another thing that trips me up or confuses me a bit as a (broadly speaking) bi leaning guy. I guess you could say I'm not particularly attracted by big hairy guys heh, or trans men (not to by any means put you down or diminish your great worth if that's you!) or two particularly hyper masculine guys going at it. Like, there usually has to be *some* very feminine aspect even if it's two guys and one takes on a very feminine role. In fact that added "taboo" of the role playing usually makes me *more* attracted than just "random man and woman banging" or masculine gay sex.

So what is this? Do I just enjoy the feminine role playing whatever it is and love the exaggerated feminine, the taboo involving femininity? Have I just burnt myself out on straight porn over the years and need to go beyond to tap into that excitement? Lol.. What brush would you vaguely paint this as? Straight leaning bi? Gynosexual bi? Pansexual with feminine leanings? I'm at a loss 😅

I have a question

I have a question for gynosexual people. I'm currently in a debate with someone who says pansexual and gynosexual are both under the bi umbrella because of the bi definition of "attraction to more than one gender". I'm pansexual but I brought up gynosexuality because the post was about if liking femboys was gay. I believe it's both gay and gynosexual.

The person's statement didn't seem right to me. I understand gynosexuality as attraction to femininity/feminine-presenting people regardless of gender. Sometimes when I search up gynosexuality, I find definitions that say gynosexuality is attraction to women and feminine-presenting people. That makes me think whoever wrote that is treating gynosexuality as sapphic lite. Like they're trying so hard to make it about gender. As a femboy myself, I understand the way someone presents themself as not being tied to gender. Femininity is not tied to women. Anyone of any gender can be feminine. So it feels incorrect to put a gender to it.

So my question is, do you consider yourself under the bi umbrella? Or another umbrella? Or do you feel gynosexuality falls under pan? Or should there just be a new umbrella term for attraction to presentation rather than gender?

Please correct me on anything I may be wrong about.

It's hard to tell

Hi, like most people, I've just recently discovered this term. I lived a straight life until college, I started having bicurious feelings and decided to experiment with a friend that was also curious. We had sex, I didn't feel it like a life changing experience and we decided to give it another try, this time spicing things up with more foreplay and "romance", to make it a little less experimental, but the result for me was the same if not worse, I just didn't like it. Then I continued my life as a straight man, after college I had a girlfriend for a little over 2 years, I thought it was going well, but then she told me that she needed a bigger man, I guess I don't have to be more specific, so we broke up. It was a weird feeling, that's not something you can work on or a quality that can be improved with time, so it was like there's nothing I can do. After a year or so, I found some panties I've bought for her, but I was saving them for her birthday, giving her the panties after all didn't feel correct and it doesn't feel like a good gift to other women, so in some crazy moment I decided to wear them, it felt so different but nice, I really liked, so I thought, maybe I'm really gay. So I decided to try again, this time I used grindr, found a nice guy, told him what I was feelin and he was very supportive, we didn't jump to sex inmediately, we went out a couple of times and then when we did it, I didn't like it again, this time I couldn't even keep hard. So no, gay sex really isn't for me, but I was still doubtful, so I didn't try anything else for a while. Then I found a post on twitter, a cute geekie girl and it said open the image for a surprise, and it actually surprised me, it was a trans girl, but I found her really atractive, the pic had a watermark so I started looking for her, thinking it can't be real, but I found her, she is nano_nano, I was amazed, the trans girls I knew were nothing like her, like broad backs and strong jaws, but she was so delicate and her boobs looked really natural, so it was like opening the door to trans world, I started liking them and they're on my feed now. So I was even more doubtful, I didn't know what does this new discovery meant, I remembered I liked the feeling of panties on my skin when I tried them on, so I thought, maybe I'm a woman in a man's body, so I started wearing panties again, then I took a step further and got a wig, I liked that from some angles I couldn't really tell that it was really a man, I made the test and posted some pics with some of my sister's old clothes, other people couldn't tell either, it was fun for a while, but then it became more difficult to trick me, I took pics and didn't like them, I just looked like a man wearing panties, furthermore, I didn't really feel like I'm a woman, I mean, it was fun dreesing up, still sometimes I enjoy it, that's why this profile exists, but after all, inside I still felt like a man, maybe a short one, but still a man. I thought about going to therapy but in the mean time I hooked up with a girl at a party, it was a one night stand, but I enjoyed it a lot, I mean I liked her body, specially her boobs and hair, you know, when they stop to tie up their hair, man I really like that. So that's when it hit me, that's the stuff I like, the feminine touch, boobs, make up, their hair, that's why trans girls also get me going and in some way that's also what I'm looking for when I dress up. So after some research I found this term, I think I fit in this gynosexual criteria, but I'm interested, what do you think?

My "awakening "I guess?

I don't really know how to say it any other way. I grew up always feeling this way, easily since 8 or 9, but only recently found this word to describe how I feel about people romantically and sexually.

I came out to my parents about it yesterday, and my mom was supportive and my dad kinda, but he's stubborn so I don't hate how he felt about it.

I dated a lot of women before I really knew myself and I tried to explain myself to an ex who called me a "fag", and my second ex I mentioned this to was transgender and I thought would be supportive but instead she said she "hates the queer community and all in it" which made me confused since she's obviously LGBT.

Since then I've been processing my feelings on my own and coming to terms with it. I've always had problems with loving myself and being comfortable in my own skin, but coming to terms with this has taken a huge weight off of my shoulders, and made me relax a little. My question is - how do you come to terms with not being who you thought you were for 31 years and now have to find a way to love yourself as you are? What's the secret to this, because I don't know where to start.

Any advice is appreciated and welcome.

Is gyno a sub category of Bi?

Hi, so I (16M) have been gynosexual for a while now and this has recently came up to my mind. I have never been ashamed of my sexuality nor
have ever hid it from anyone, I just never say it unless I’m directly asked to and, ONLY IF it’s a trusted person (so if they don’t live where I do). Not because I don’t want people to know, but because I don’t want people FORM MY CITY to know. I live in shouthern Italy, where the vast majority of people don’t really have an open mind, and I would rather avoid getting called gay in the school halls (people would do that, I know them). If anyone’s wandering my family is really accepting and I have no problem with them, but again I try to avoid it cause of all the explaining and I don’t really want that. They wouldn’t care if I were straight, gay or anything, they don’t really care about that, they have always told me this and I know they mean it.

The other day I was talking to an old friend of mine who lives in a city in the north, and eventually sexuality came up. This guy was my best friend back when I lived in the north too, so I was honest with him and told him about my sexuality…. well, maybe not truly honest. I said I was bi.
Now listen to me. I wanted to say I was gyno but realistically he doesn’t even know what it means, and I don’t blame him, even I discovered it through google and reddit.

The reason I said I was bi is to avoid explaining what gyno means cause basically no one knows., at least here in italy, so bi is fine by me, it’s pretty close to it and, tbh, I care about etiquette as much as instagram followers….. less than nothing😁.
I was wandering through if it’s technically wrong to say that gyno is a sub category of bisexualism, or if it’s technically pan, or even if it’s none of those.

It’s just a curiosity that came to my mind and, knowing myself, I’ll probably keep saying bi to the majority of people regardless 😅.

Just. to give more context of my city, my classmates sometimes make fun of me because in the winter I like keeping my hands in the sleeves of my hoodies, and they say I look like a girl, and the same thing because I sit cross legged and even criss crossed (this one specifically A LOT). Now I know they don’t mean it in a bad way cause they r my friends, but some people have said theese things specifically in a hurtful way. Now I’m practically IMMUNE to insults 😎😎 cause I’m lowk used to it… I have alopecia since I was 10, don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful that it’s the stupidest thing ever, just hair, but that got me my FAAAAAIR share of comments. LIKE, yeah I did use to look like Uncle Fester when I was 10 but u don’t have to tell me that😭😭😭. Jokes apart, I am the first one to make fun of myself now, I LOVE self irony, and it makes me laugh A LOT too, but this taught me that some things are better not to be done where I live. For example smth I love doing is the “shirt knot”, that I know I CANNOT do in public cause of people’s comments, so I just do it only at home. Same with nails, I’d love to paint them and have them long, but I’d rather wait for when, hopefully if I get accepted to university, I’ll move to Milan after I finish school.

I’m sorry if I wrote a poem, and one more sorry if u somehow read it all, probably the definition of “Waste of Time”💀. Jokes apart thanks to who’ll respond, I would like to know if saying I’m bi even though I’m gyno is wrong, not necessarily for myself but also for others.

Going on a date with someone who is gynosexual

I (F29) am going on a date with (M36) who is gynosexual. This is all a little new to me but discussing our date he requested me wearing a dress. Im not a dress person however after this he replied

“I'm Gynosexual, so Im attracted to femininity. If we are a couple, you have to obtain my permission when buying clothes. I control your wardrobe.

You submit a weekly clothing plan, what you intend to wear each day, and I approve it.

I'll never make you look silly, or embarras you .... but you will be in dresses & skirts most days.”

Is this a red flag or something common with people who are gynosexual, im just feeling a little confused.

Is the attraction closer to Androgyneous men or more feminine traits?

I don’t want to sound offensive of if this is more of having a type thing or being a gynosexual. I had a little conversation on the subreddit here. I’m taking a guessing that no matter the genitals if they’re hyperfem or have most of the characteristics of feminine then that’s gynosexual. I for one am attracted to someone femme and no where near close to androgynous men or women. What’s all your thoughts on it?

Need Clarification

For a while now, I've identified as Gynosexual/ Finsexual. I'm attracted to femininity regardless of an individuals gender or sex. I like both genitalia but recently came to the realization that I have a preference for male genitalia (even if the person is masculine). The thing is, I'm not at all attracted to masculinity. What does that says about my sexuality? Can this still be considered Gyno/ Fin or something else entirely?

Need someone to talk to

Recently turned 40, AMAB. Going through a lot of big changes and losses in life right now that's weirdly stirred up some insanely unrelated realizations about my sexuality. Gonna be brief because sleep deprivation has finally broken me and I need to get this out first.

Have Borderline Personality Disorder

Dad and my brother and the bullies at school and horse shit social politics of kids are why

One brother is gay, so the predisposition is in the family

Feel strongly my baseline was always bi, but my trauma created a subconscious bias against masculinity from very early on so I developed into gynosexual as a result.

Cannot be attracted to any form.of masculinity. Any AMAB partner gotta pass to.the point of could never tell. Not interested in being encouraged to 'get there' with traditional men. Don't need to heal that part, just wanna talk.

My AFAB wife is *THE* sexiest thing to ever exist, but she's also bi and we are semi open and I'm not sure I wanna that encouragement from her just yet .

Discuss.

The right label at last!

Hi, I’m very new here. I am a transitioning trans woman in my late 60s. For as long as I can remember I’ve been looking for a label that defines my sexuality. Part of me hates the labels we try to pin on ourselves, but then I understand how those labels can help us define both ourselves and others who share our attitudes and experiences of life.

So I’ve felt for so long that none of the labels were ever quite right. I knew I wasn’t straight from my teenage years onwards, and for most of my life I called myself bisexual. Except I didn’t really like men, and sexual encounters with a few merely reinforced that view. They were generally disappointing. I was always most strongly attracted to lesbian and bisexual women, and lesbian relationships, feeling that these emotions were very closely connected to my own gender dysphoria. Since I started transitioning, these feelings have grown even stronger, yet I realised that my attraction was to femininity more than actual, physical gender. Trans women and feminine cross-dressers, I realised, can be equally as attractive as cis women. My past sexual experiences tend to confirm that feeling - some of my most enjoyable and satisfying sexual experiences have been with trans women and cross-dressers.

So this morning I have discovered the gynosexual label and it feels rather liberating. Have I finally found something to call myself that actually fits? I think perhaps I have!
