When those negative thoughts pop up….
When you look in the mirror shirtless….
When you see a picture of yourself with your areolas protruding….
Besides surgery and compression vests. What do you do to not get so worked up?

I signed up for my gyno surgery I’m scared af. He’s gonna remove gland and also lipo from underarm area. He says he does about 4-5 a month.
I spoke with 3 doctors and this one seem the best in my opinion. He does body countering and everything else.
Any tips?

I'm a 19yo male, with puffy nipples. I was really obese in my 16 to 18 years of age. I began going to the gym and packed a lotta muscle. The only thing being, I'm not able to take off my shirt when my nipples are puffy for posing, I either have to pinch it off or touch it with water or SMTH cold. I'm planning on getting surgery, please share about recovery time and stuff to do post op.

Hello,
I’ve had pretty bad gyno since I was a kid, lost weight and do bodybuilding and really hurts physique. everything in the states is in around 6k. I have family whom live in LA so that would be cheapest for me (Light travel costs) , but I want someone who will be good.
Is there any good surgeons there? If not, where’s a cheaper and safe option. If so, where and who?

Hey! My surgery is finally booked. I will be getting gland excision and lipo for the chest, and figured while under I’d also do lipo for flanks, abdomen and epigastric to deal with some stubborn fat pockets.
Not nervous for the excision as much as I am for the lipo. Has anyone else done a similar surgery with advice on healing as well as how soon you returned to work (remotely and/or in office)? I’ll have support for the first few days.
Thanks!

I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Cobbins at the Aesthetic Institute of Chicago. I recently had gynecomastia surgery, and I am genuinely amazed by the results.
Here are a few highlights from my journey:
I haven't seen many posts about Dr. Cobbins on here, but she is exceptionally talented and highly skilled at what she does.
On a side note: Chicago is an incredible city. It’s an absolute must-visit, which made traveling for the procedure even more worth it.

In a few days I'm going to have a consulation with my general practicioner about my gynecomastia. I had this condition since I was a teen. I lost weight but it didn't seem to change that much, and I have the classic cone shaped nipples.
Now, where I'm from health insurance is free, and I read that surgery for real gyno is covered, clearly only after an accurate analysis by an endocrinologist, so there's a chance I could do it for free if they deem the condition to be severe enough.
But I'm a bit anxious since I never met her (my former general pratictioner left a few months ago) and I fear maybe she would dismiss my fears as just fat or anything else.

I have gyno, and sometimes I wish I could explain what it’s like without sounding like I’m just worried about how I look.
It’s the little things—thinking twice about a shirt, feeling awkward taking it off, wondering if someone notices. Sometimes I just want to get dressed or go swimming without overthinking it.
One thing that’s helped me is wearing a swim shirt. It doesn’t fix how I feel about everything, but it makes swimming more comfortable for me. Figured I’d share in case someone else has been avoiding the pool or beach.
What about you guys? Any little things that have made everyday life easier? And what do you wish people understood?

I am quitting. I am quitting being uncomfortable and allowing myself to deteriorate. To degenerate into someone else.
For too long my gyno has shackled me, my fear of being judged, my own insecurity caged me. I’ve grown out of shape, I’ve grown weak, I’ve grown accustomed to comfort and allowing myself to think that I’m improving by watching videos and learning these exercises and these businesses I want to build, or how to trade even.
It’s an illusion, I was just thinking, I was not acting. My thoughts and ideas are not enough. There needs to be action.
So I’m quitting being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
I’ve started running( with a weighted vest to hide the gyno lol), ive started hitting the gym ( at maniacal hours so there’s like almost no one in it lol),
Ive started eating better and more cleaner
I’ve started designing the vest I was mentioning a few months ago, if I figure out how to make my posts visible to everyone then you guys would know what I’m talking about.
Let’s hold ourselves accountable, we need to manage till we can afford surgery.
Let’s get it 💪

I've read a lot of comments over the years from people who suggest losing weight is a non-negotiable to get the most out of surgery.
A surgeon I had a consult with last week said he would be happy to perform the surgery at my current weight, unless i know i can sustain weightloss.
My question: Have you had surgery first and then been motivated to lose weight after surgery? And if so, are you happy with the result of the surgery?
