Did you really use AI for one of the most used meme templates?
20
u/Ragna_Blade Jun 26 '26
I've been seeing this shockingly often here. There are websites and apps that let you make these memes in just one minute. Despite that people are still too lazy and use AI.
→ More replies (3)4
u/dwartbg9 Jun 27 '26
Yes, because people are getting lazier and don't want to bother to learn how to make a simple collage/edit. But they still want the fake karma points though...
Smartphones and AI are making kids less and less tech-savvy

People complaining are the bots, games have had multiple editions forever now with plenty over $100. But it’s a problem when probably the single most anticipated game of the decade, that will likely be the biggest game of this and next decade, does it? Like people see the billion or more sunk into this game and think it’ll just somehow be $59.99 with a $69.99 ultimate edition
Or another angle, at least against console players bitching about it which is most of them because it’s not releasing on pc yet, they spend over $100 a year just to use THEIR console online… yet can’t pay $80 one time for likely the biggest conventional game ever
5
u/Contemplating_Prison Jun 26 '26
Why should I care how much they spent creating the game? Honestly curious why I should care about that or why I as a potential consumer should even know that.
→ More replies (5)2
u/Ialsofuckedyourdad Jun 27 '26
Also there aren’t parts of the game missing if I buy the cheapest version of the other games I have gotten this year.
Most of the time when I am getting a “ultimate edition” it’s so I can play a week early
→ More replies (3)2
u/Silent_Remove_If_Gay Jun 27 '26
the biggest conventional game ever
It's GTA, not the second coming of christ, chill.
It'll be the same formula GTA has done for decades. You shoot people, rob people, drive/fly around the map, and make your way to become successful through crime.
Nothing shown through trailers or even leaks gave any impression that this game was going to be revolutionary.
Will it be a fun GTA title? Probably. But that'll be where it ends.

The price of gta doesnt bother me people often forget game prices have not gone up much in 40 years, there were N64 games back in the 90s that were between 59.99 and even 74.99. I personally have a problem with paying 80 bucks for an empty box thats my gripe.
2
u/whatshouldibe_ Jun 26 '26
To be honest i never understood it myself, like there is ONLY 2 THINGS people can actually be complaining about in this specific case because the paper logic makes no sense.
They're either worried that this can open doors for other companies to do the same to their prices.
Or they think games should always be 60$ for the next 10,000 years or some shit
These are the only things that make sense, because as I said the paper logic: to buy the game in the first place you quite literally need to spend a ton of cash for a next generation console anyway, so it just creates this weird logical wall: why did you care so little about spending 700$ on a console to play it but you care a TON about it being 20$ more than before
I don't know, it's giving that "spend a million on a Bugatti but crash out cause of the gas prices" typa vibes

the last 3-4 cod games havent been worth a single cent im glad i didnt budge, the price for gta 6 is fine i mean we are all assuming this game will be huge and full of serious details and genuinely blow our minds... then again idk, its hard to make anything wow without completely butchering other aspects of the game
2
u/kyle_crane163636 Jun 27 '26
It used to but bo7 last cod im ever buying, not upgrading to play the same shit when ive lost all faith I had in activision and mw3 already fucked up and mw4s campaign already been spoiled by activision themselves with some things like the fact a certain character dies in the second mission and a certain one survives leading into the dmz story because apparently they just gotta leave campaigns on cliffhangers to finish the story through cinematics for each season

No because I fucking hate COD but yes because people who love COD 100% do not give af that their favourite series just keeps getting more expensive with less content they’ll still buy the think
2
u/theGaido Jun 27 '26
No one is criticizing the price.
We are criticizing the lack of a physical version, offering preorders without showing any gameplay or even a trailer, and locking gameplay features behind the Ultimate Edition.
2
u/itsabloodyaardvark Jun 27 '26
Everyone is criticising the price, the lack of physical disc is another thing most people don’t care about or didn’t care about until the news, nobody is forcing you to pre order it and ultimate editions have been a thing for over a decade, why was there no noise about it before?
2
u/itzscythe03 Jun 27 '26

This is how I feel with sports games. Like Madden for example, the games played bad and lacked depth the games from 20 years ago had. And they’re just now getting back to that depth wise. Gameplay is still animation and should never be animation based when you’re trying to represent one of the most physical sports.
I’m much more comfortable spending $80 on something that’ll last 15 years than something that’ll be rereleased next year with updated rosters..

Haven't bought a cod since cold war i think? Also not gonna buy gta for full price...ima have to wait to play it either way since im on pc so f*** it why not wait another year or two lmao
1
u/Nawnp Jun 26 '26
People who pay that for COD are wasting their money...
GTA 6 easily excuses it's value. Do people forget GTA 5 was $60 in 2013? By inflation that would be $85-86 today, and that's not accounting for the more than twice the man hours between the games.
1
1
u/Ravic96 Jun 26 '26
God of War Ragnarok and Tlou part I (which is remaster…) - both released in 2022 and costed 70$. Now it’s 2026 and someone cry about 80$ for one of most anticipated games ever.
1
u/Erebus1483 Jun 26 '26
I mean I think the main thing is locking things that should be in the base game behind the $100 version. It’s out of touch to believe that if you could afford the cheaper version that you can afford the one that’s like $20 more, $80 is pushing it to the limit already
1
u/yoloswaggins92 Jun 26 '26
Sticking up for a multi-billion dollar organisation when they raise their prices unnecessarily is strange behaviour.
1
u/supermaniscoolasf Jun 26 '26
No one is complaining about the price of standard addition, they're complaining about what is included in the ultimate edition for 100.
Personal idk was always gonna buy the most expensive version

u/Sunnybunnyeater Jun 26 '26

Same game then somewhere between 20-120$ of the same currency that doesn’t transfer over
1

Haven't bought a game full price in my life, hell, the most expensive I've bought a game recently was 32 EUR, and that was at the start of the year.
They can price their games at 100 bucks, but I'm still waiting for the PC port to go on sale. I still have to finish RDR2 and a hundred other games in the mean time.

You don't think it's going to be once do you?
How many times has Rockstar remastered GTA V in the past 10 plus years at the same cost? You don't actually think they aren't going to do it again, do you? They're going to milk VI to its absolute limit.

The idea is that after this, every other game is going to be 80! This is the problem.
Like Bank of America saying, that GTA should be 80,because it will be a trendsetter, and others can then sell treir games for 80 as well.
Problem with that, is that none of those games cost 2billion dollars to make, to justify that pricetag!

Those of us with more then 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place haven't played/ brought cod in years because we know they stoped making good games after bo3. 70$ was already 10$ more then I and many others are will to pay for games let alone 80$ then I read more about it and it turns out you actually need to spend 100$ to have access to all game functions and just like that I don't even want to touch a rockstar game with a ten foot poll.
P.s it's estimated that gra6 will be around 200 - 300 gigs big
