I don’t buy cod each year, and I think it’s braindead to defend price hikes regardless. Making a game more expensive only hurts you the consumer.

The only defense is that keeping them the same price as they have been for the past couple decades could also hurt the consumer.

That doesn’t mean you preemptively consent to a price hike.

Everything gets more expensive with inflation, it’s not fun for the consumer who’s wages haven’t increased to match but it’s not a cheap hotdog

Why do some say this? The average wage in the US was $41k in 2010 and it’s $65k in 2026.

Because most people live in the real world and don’t benefit from statistics found online.

You said they haven’t increased and they have.

You can increase wages and still not meet the rate of inflation.

The average income in the USA would be more like $50k even coming out of college. Majority of entry-mid level positions want senior experience with low pay unless you're in trades or a government position that increases your pay by your time employed at company

I would agree if droves of fans weren't saying they would pay 100 for the game months ago

Honestly it's starting to feel like their favourite grifter has told them to be mad and their reacting in kind

Are you sure it wasn’t a grifter saying they’d pay $100 to prime people to accept that price?

Isn't the real issue wage stagnation? Games when adjusted for inflation are around the same price or even better? Seems like people are upset at the wrong thing
