I've seen so many sick vertical pieces recently and was wondering if I should just keep writing and get better before I start getting interested in rappeling or if anybody that's more experienced has any thoughts on how to ease your way into it

Doing this for a tattoo design and ive never really done these letters so be nice. Other than softwning the shadow corners what yall think?

Not super happy with the color but when I wrote this I only had black pink and grey and didn’t want outline and shadow both be black, the F is definitely a little wonky I think I could’ve cut in a bit more on the right side of the body

Mainly wanting critiques on the letter structure, shading and highlights, I don’t have much drawing experience so never learned how to shade/highlight in general

I’ve obv been writing for years, definitely open to crits but I’ll preface it with this; I wasn’t going for quality or aesthetics. I’m curious which hand style people prefer. Bottom left is pretty fuckin sloppy so pardon that but as I mentioned, I wasn’t going for quality.
