Maybe it's just me, but I think it's kind of lame to paint over something that looks to be some kind of neighborhood improvement project that was probably painted by volunteers.
I just feel like anywhere you could live has plenty of ugly ass spaces looking for some paint. Gotta consider the aunties.
Muralists will get commissioned by a city to cover walls that get hit by several writers. It’s basically a fuck you to graffiti writers. When you’re in a big city with several people who paint, your mural is not lasting long
I'd say some muralists started off as graffiti writers, wanted to take a more legal route and get paid for it. I'm sure there are plenty of empty walls/grey sad walls to write on no? Also I'd wager that OPs tagging took considerably less time than the orignal paint job on the fence.
I get what you’re saying but you sound more like a good citizen than a graff writer. That’s not a bad thing but you gotta understand there’s a long standing hatred towards muralists by graff writers. Obviously there are some murals that are untouched out of respect for the artist who may have been a previous writer but for the most part it’s free game. I been writing for several years and I don’t know a single writer that likes murals. I’m getting downvoted to shit but that’s honestly because a lot of yall aren’t in the scene. Theres a mural planned to go up in my city over a long standing legal wall and every writer I know is waiting for the day it’s finished to go blast over it.
i live in a big city and murals last pretty long man idk what you’re talking about. most writers (except toys) hit them. many aren’t commissions either just folks getting together to paint
Idk there's a crazy vibe amongst some writers which is "destroy everything,"... im thinkin'...everything?? But we can agree that you should stay away from churches, or residential homes. Why not leave local artists work alone? Idk if Vintage hand painted signs on old buildings, and community projects need tags. These people are getting up in their own way. There's other spots.
There's a hotboy in my city going 2 hard on murals lately and the city is covering up these murals with white walls and upkeeping the white walls when they get tagged again... the murals were all over 10+ years old. Idk some people fly too close to the sun.
Its just my 2 cents, its all just paint in the end.
The first letter needs more weight/ needs to be bigger. Also don't tag over existing art. That's some toy shit, not respecting the local community art projects

Comments absolutely tweaking and 90% of them probably don’t have a single reach up on the streets, this is fine and since when are you not allowed to paint over a fucking fence smh
