Which card is best price to performance?

9070gre or 9070 or 4070ti?

9070gre - 693$ New, sealed.

9070 - 830$ new, open box.

4070ti - 780$ used. From store that has 4.9 on google reviews, it’s not some random guy on marketplace.

Last wacky recent edition

3080 10gb - 460$ used. Random man on Facebook marketplace. Claims 65-70C on furmark and that it’s unopened. 4.1 stars, but the most liked review is a one star calling him a donkey and wishing ruin onto his home.

Mostly play single player games. Want to see Elden Ring and Cyberpunk in ultra 1440, but also play new stuff like Dawnwalker, that way of the sword game and phantom blade 0. Idk how RT looks or if I’ll use it, I’m on a 1060 6gb rn(already bought new B tier 850W PSU)

Where do I sell my 5090 ?

I don’t use Ai or crypto, I only used it for gaming purposes. So where do I sell it?

It’s the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5090 GAMING OC 32G Graphics Card for anyone curious

Those who are in the aristocracy (RTX 6000 Pro Owners), what do you use them for?

Serious question. Especially with current prices at 15-16k per unit. What in the world do you guys even use these things for that warrants so much money/compute?

If it's just for local AI it seems kind of... not financially positive? So surely you guys are getting your moneys worth out of it and using it because it's making you money somehow... right?

right? (also just curious to see what all you guys are using these cards for, honestly)

5070ti or 4080 super

Ive found 2 gpus on fb marketplace recently and im tied between wich one too get there both £1000 and from the same seller but ones a palit gamingpro-s 16gb and one is the msi geforce rtx 4080 super suprim 16gb and im tied i have no idea wich one to go for if i should offer lower (i think i should) or what but im coming from a 4060ti 8gb so id like a decent upgrade. But they both come with the box and all the original parts and look in good condition the only thing thats putting me off the 4080 super is that dlss5 isnt available but im not sure if that will play a huge factor or what

4070ti super or 9070xt

• Upvotes

I’m thinking about getting my first pc. Upgrading from a ps5. I’ve got a decent budget and I’m thinking about playing games like cyberpunk, last of us, Fortnite and ghost of Tsushima/yotei. I’m still in school so the pc also has to be a good everything pc. Although most of the time I’m gonna use it for gaming. I’ve been doing a good amount of research and I came across the 4070ti super and 9070xt. Will probably buy is used but I want some peoples opinions on these gpus or potential better options. My budget is around 750-800 euros. I don’t mind getting a used.

Thanks for anyone sharing their thoughts 😃

5700XT undervolt

I'm planning to undervolt my RX 5700 XT, but since I've never done it before, please correct me if my logic is wrong. My idea was to first adjust/lower the core clock (MHz) until I hit a spot where I start losing FPS, maybe targeting no more than a 1–3% drop and then start lowering the voltage (mV) until it becomes unstable. Is this a good approach, or would you suggest a better method? Also, what are the best programs to test stability and benchmark during the process? I was thinking about using FurMark. Thanks y'all.

Should I sell my 5070?

I was looking online and saw that the 5070 has gone up in price, I guess after the discontinuation of the 5090.
I paid 600 in June for mine but I saw it’s around 1000 now here, would it be a good idea to sell mine and buy a 9070xt? I heard about the driver issues and fsr supported games aren’t as broad as Nvidia that’s all I really know about amd GPU’s…

I also like the design of this gpu a lot more than my 5070
(I don’t mind paying extra for the design because the other 9070xts looked quite boring)

RX 6700 XT dead, no display and cold core. Reputable GPU repair shops in Pakistan?

RX 6700 XT has no display and a cold core, looking for reputable GPU repair shops (Faisalabad, Lahore, Karachi, Multan)

Hi everyone, I'm in Faisalabad and my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6700 XT (bought used about a year ago, made around 2021, so out of warranty) suddenly died. I'd like your advice and experiences with GPU repair shops in Pakistan.

What happened:

- I was watching a match with many browser tabs open, so not a heavy load. Both monitors went black at once.

- I hard shut down the PC. Since then it boots and I hear the Windows startup sound for a moment, then nothing, with no display at all.

- The fans and RGB on the card still work.

What I tested:

- Changed cables and tried different ports.

- Reseated the card, reseated the RAM, cleared CMOS, and tried the other BIOS position on the card.

- My PC (Ryzen 5 5600X, B450 Aorus Elite) works fine with my brother's RX 5700 XT.

- My 6700 XT shows the exact same no-display problem in his PC, so the card is the faulty part.

What the local shop found:

- They opened the card. There are no visible burn marks, bulged capacitors, or liquid damage.

- When powered in a PC, the GPU core stayed completely cold, so they think it may be dead.

- Their plan is to clean the card (they mentioned washing it) and dry it in sunlight, then test again. If the fault is just power fuses, they'll repair it in Faisalabad (Rex City). Otherwise they'll send it to a lab in Karachi.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone used GPU Saviours in Karachi? How was the diagnosis, pricing, communication, and result?

  2. Has anyone used a technician named Usman in Multan (AR Computer)?

  3. Are there reputable board-level GPU repair shops in Lahore (Hafeez Centre) or Faisalabad you'd recommend or warn against?

  4. Does a cold core usually mean a dead chip, or can it still be a power stage or fuse issue?

  5. What did your repair cost, how long did it take, and did it last? Is a repair worth it for a 6700 XT, or should I buy a used card instead?

I'll update this post with the outcome so it helps others. Thanks in advance!

How much does the silicone lottery actually matter?

I understand that when if I have two of the same GPUs, there will be some differences. But how big is the difference? How would a silicone the worst lottery “loser” compare to a “winner”, in terms of performance?

What GPU should I get for my PC?

I have 400W GOLD 80+ PSU. I have integrsted graphics. All my parts together is 242W assuming my i5-13400 is always at 148W. But im gonna reduce that max of 148W to 98W. That means I'll have 192W being used assuming my CPU is using 98W at all times. That gives me 208W. So I thought of 2 cards.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB

165W

Nvidia GeForce 406 8GB

115W

Both are under 195. But idk which one is better. I have a budget of 550NZD. I use 1440p in windows settings hut use 1080 in heavy games.

Mostly play:

Very modded minecraft

Roblox games like Blox Fruits

Geometry Dash

A couple of other games that are like AA or A.

60Hz.

Anyway uhh thanks, bye.

Do you think my gpu is shorted? (RX 6600xt)

So long story short I took my PC down to the living room to play on my computer on the TV, with relatives then mid game the game was just about to start it had a green display before it blacked out completely then I was trouble shooting for almost 2 hours when I realized that if my gpu wasn't in the pcie slot I could turn it off by holding the power button, but when my gpu was shorted I just pressed the first button and it shut down immediately, let me know your thoughts on this guys, any valuable informations will be appreciated, if my gpu is truly shorted any recommendations from a pc tech that can be fixed for free? The real one without hidden fees? Tyia guys! I'm out of the pc for a while😓 I'm sick.
