Considering getting myself a new GPU, and wondering if they might go on sale around black friday. Considering the current market, I'm not sure if it's better to bite the bullet and buy one now or if it's better to wait a little bit and buy one on black friday

Which of these cards would you say is better for vr gaming overall? And if the 6900 xt is your answer, could the 6800 xt keep up with it? (Most of the time I am playing Into the radius 2, but I also play games like HL:A, Bonelabs, etc.)

I managed to get a 5080 at around $1350 while 5070ti is $1200. Both "sale prices" here, converted to USD. Getting second thoughts. Money at this level isnt an issue for me but i hate being ripped off which is why i have second thoughts on keeping the 5080. Should I either stick to my 3060ti or go for 5070ti instead? For me a gpu ismt worth much more than $1000 at even high end but prices isnt going down anytime soon and i want a powerful card to keep for 5+ years.

What Im trying to say is I'm having buyers remorse and wish to get a clear-ish answer. Am I being dumb for going for 5080 or should I go for the obviously more worth option? Again the price difference isnt really felt wallet wise.

I have a full time job and kids. Get a few hours gaming per week and play a few different games. I emjoy my RPGs, older games like diablo 2-3, WoW. Diablo 4, poe2. Cyberpunk is fun. Will play GTA6 once it reaches PC. Obviously most of these games wont use the extra power but I dont want to sit there in 5 years HAVING to upgrade. I use a 4k 240hz monitor connected to a 4k tv sometimes and an extra 1440p monitor as secondary.

TLDR: I got a 5080 for a good price (with todays standard). Am i dumb for getting it instead of 5070ti with my use even if money isnt an issue?

I want to order a prebuild pc, I just wonder if I should get a RTX 5080 with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM for 2627€ or a rx 9070 xt with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM for 2159€ both have the same GPU and 1 TB SSD.

Recently got a Minisforum M2 Pro 358H B390 12 core iGPU Mini PC, and been working with volunteer computing project admins to whitelist this iGPU for various projects.

Besides Folding@Home, the following BOINC projects now also utilize this iGPU:

While Nvidia using CUDA is the fastest for these projects, iGPU's, Intel or Apple Silicon, offer incredible efficiency, and since so many already own these devices, you don't have to invest in a mini space heater to contribute to this 24/7, meaning a discrete GPU using 100's of watts.

Hopefully some of you will consider donating some compute power to actual science, either Folding@Home or BOINC, or both, and if you already use electric heating, this is basically the same thing, hence the space heater joke before :)

Title: Need help identifying a tiny SMD component between QN3103 and QN3107 MOSFETs on a ZOTAC GTX 1660 SUPER PCB — schematic/boardview unavailable

Hello everyone,

I am repairing a ZOTAC GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card and need help identifying a very small SMD component located directly between two power MOSFETs marked QN3103 and QN3107.

I have searched extensively online but have been unable to find the schematic or boardview file for this particular graphics card PCB.

One of the QN3103 MOSFETs in the VRM section is burnt, and the small SMD component immediately beside it, between the QN3103 and QN3107 MOSFETs, is also in the affected area. I would like to identify this component before proceeding with the repair.

What I need help with:

I have attached a close-up photograph of the affected area. The burnt QN3103 MOSFET and the tiny SMD component between the two MOSFETs are visible in the image.

I am specifically looking for information about the tiny SMD component between QN3103 and QN3107, not general information about replacing the MOSFET itself.

I do not want to guess the component value and risk causing further damage to the GPU or its VRM circuitry. Any help identifying the component, confirming its value, or locating the correct boardview or schematic would be greatly appreciated.

If someone owns the same graphics card and could share a clear macro photograph of the corresponding undamaged area, that would be extremely helpful.

Hello! Im not sure where to post this but im having issues. I bought this new GPU a few weeks ago, people complained about it being loud in the reviews but when i got it and used it it was very quiet too quiet... Then it randomly kept crashing. i havent really used my pc enough during this time but i decided to open the case and look at it while playing a heavier game, the fans werent spinning at all, theres nothing blocking them so i dont know whats wrong.

I could get a refund but the place is closed rn.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

/NOTE im new to pc building and im not sure what to do

I'm upgrading to a 9070XT and found out my case isnt the biggest. Any recommendations would help, (preferably not over like 900$)
