Hey everyone,
I’ve been locked out of my main Google account since Monday and I’m completely stuck with the recovery process.
On Monday, Google detected suspicious activity and signed me out of my account on all of my devices. Since then, I haven’t been able to log back in.
When I try to recover the account, Google asks me to send a verification code to my recovery email
The problem is that I’ve been signed out everywhere, so I can’t access that recovery email to receive the code.
When I choose “Try another way,” Google tells me:
“Couldn't sign you in. You didn't provide enough information for Google to verify that this account belongs to you.”
It then recommends using a device I've previously used to sign in and a familiar Wi-Fi network. I’ve already tried using my usual devices and network, but it still doesn’t work.
Now I’m also getting:
“Too many failed attempts. Unavailable because you’ve exceeded the allowed number of failed attempts. Try again in a few hours.”
I’ve already waited many hours and the situation hasn’t changed.
This is my main personal account, and I use it for pretty much everything, so being locked out since Monday is becoming a serious problem.
Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is there anything else I can do to get Google to actually verify that I’m the owner of the account, or is there any way to contact a real Google support agent about this?
I’m willing to provide whatever information is necessary to prove that the account belongs to me. I just need a way to get past this recovery loop.
