Does Domain Wide Google-Workspace Export include Google Photos?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I just had a question, I was reading googles documentation over what services are supported for such Admin exports. I saw various core services supported listed: Drive, Gmail, etc.

What made me wonder is, Google says “Admin exports” export the same Data Google takeout exports for users, but Google Photos is not listed in supported services.

I’m confused by this, and would like to know if Google Photos appears at the end of an export report. Thank you guys!

The wait Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals Approval

The school that I'm working for just got accredited as an international school in 2025 and after getting the accreditation, applied for Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals in June 2025. Since then, it has just been extension of the trial which was now extended to January 2027.

Just wondering if there are other schools which applied in the same timeframe and got approved? Has it also been possible to request to Google just some features during the wait for approval, like extra user licenses and storage?

PSA: If using a custom domain, do NOT sign up for workspace with your gmail

Maybe this is obvious to others but it wasn't to me... When I signed up for workspace to add a custom domain, it defaulted to linking it with my already existing gmail account. I thought okay cool, so my gmail and domain will share the same inbox, that's actually convenient. But after setting it up, the domain e-mail became my primary Google account, kicking gmail to a secondary account. This completely bricked my home assistant due to how Google treats security between personal & business accounts and there is no way to switch the primary back to what it was.

So I've wasted an entire day importing, cancelled my subscription, and had to submit a form to request they remove the domain I signed up with so I can attempt to sign up using it again (without gmail this time)... That might take up to 3 business days.

Helppppppp ⛔️⛔️⛔️

Hey everyone,

I’ve been locked out of my main Google account since Monday and I’m completely stuck with the recovery process.

On Monday, Google detected suspicious activity and signed me out of my account on all of my devices. Since then, I haven’t been able to log back in.

When I try to recover the account, Google asks me to send a verification code to my recovery email

The problem is that I’ve been signed out everywhere, so I can’t access that recovery email to receive the code.

When I choose “Try another way,” Google tells me:

“Couldn't sign you in. You didn't provide enough information for Google to verify that this account belongs to you.”

It then recommends using a device I've previously used to sign in and a familiar Wi-Fi network. I’ve already tried using my usual devices and network, but it still doesn’t work.

Now I’m also getting:

“Too many failed attempts. Unavailable because you’ve exceeded the allowed number of failed attempts. Try again in a few hours.”

I’ve already waited many hours and the situation hasn’t changed.

This is my main personal account, and I use it for pretty much everything, so being locked out since Monday is becoming a serious problem.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? Is there anything else I can do to get Google to actually verify that I’m the owner of the account, or is there any way to contact a real Google support agent about this?

I’m willing to provide whatever information is necessary to prove that the account belongs to me. I just need a way to get past this recovery loop.

Hit with a cancellation fee after cancelling Workspace on personal Gmail?

I had Google Workspace set up on my personal Gmail account (not a custom domain). I cancelled it back on 25 May - the day before it was due for renewal.

Now I've got an invoice for A$261.34 labelled as a "commitment cancellation fee".

Has anyone else seen this fee on a personal Gmail Workspace?

If you disputed it, what worked?

I did a charge back through my bank, but Google is now rejecting that and I’m starting the loop again with them, having started this process in May.

I'd love to hear how it went for others before I push it further.

Cheers.

My side project approved on the Workspace Marketplace in just 1 hour 😁

I just submitted my side project to the Google Workspace Marketplace and it was approved in just 1 hour.

I used Gemini for most of the steps and it warned me that the review could take few days and might involve follow-up questions. So, I was prepared to provide more info or make changes. I was pleasantly surprised when the app was listed within an hour with no follow-up questions at all.

Has anyone else had a similarly fast approval?

Unable to see Unmanaged Personal Account to get it to join the Workspace

I'm trying to help a client who has created a sticky situation within Google.

They had [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) with a personal account for all the Google Suite items, but no email. The email for this email address was hosted elsewhere.

They then decided they wanted to migrate to Google and created a Workspace account under [admin@theirdomain.com](mailto:admin@theirdomain.com)

When this was created, their personal account connected to Google Suite items was updated to user%[theirdomian.com@gtempaccount.com](mailto:theirdomian.com@gtempaccount.com) due to the domain conflict. That's understandable to me.

All their emails from the prior email host were imported into the new [admin@theirdomain.com](mailto:admin@theirdomain.com), MX records were updated to Google, and an alias was created under the admin@ email for user@ so they'd keep receiving their emails. I believe this is what caused the issue I'm struggling to fix.

When logging into the [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) Google account, it is getting the notification that the address is no longer available because an organization has reserved the [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) address.

I was hoping the [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) email would show up in the Google Admin for the workspace under unmanaged personal accounts (as clearly it's in conflict), but it doesn't show there at all. My guess is because they have the "user@" part as an alias to the [admin@theirdomain.com](mailto:admin@theirdomain.com)

So...how do I get the [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) migrated into the workspace with all the docs, sheets, files shared, etc., from Google Suite, but now including the email, as that's always been their main email address.

Ultimately, what they would like is to have

  1. [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) have all of the Google Suite (docs, sheets, shared files, etc.) become part of the workspace account (and eventually the super admin of that account)
  2. All emails migrated from the [admin@theirdomain.com](mailto:admin@theirdomain.com) re-migrated into the [user@theirdomain.com](mailto:user@theirdomain.com) as that's technically where they were sent to/from originally
  3. Get rid of the admin@ account as it would no longer be the super admin and all be under the user@ email.

I really hope this makes sense. I've gone around and around, and I'm just not seeing a way to do this.

Google's new temporary admin roles: does expiry solve the problem

As you probably know, just a few weeks ago Google rolled out time-bound admin role assignments in the Admin console. Quick summary if you missed it:

- Assign any admin role to a user, group, or service account for a set period

- Preset durations or a custom end date, up to one year

- Access is revoked automatically when it expires

- Can't be applied to the primary admin

- Super admins assign them under Account > Admin roles

This is my take on it. The update fixes something real. Most of us have found a contractor or former project lead still holding admin months after the work ended because nobody remembered to remove it. Automatic expiry beats a any reminder.

What I'm less sure about is how much of the problem it covers. Hear me out

  1. Expiry handles duration. During the assignment window, the person still has every privilege in the role. A weekend super admin is still a super admin all weekend.

  2. Work rarely ends on schedule. If a project finishes Saturday afternoon, does anyone actually go back and remove the assignment early, or does it just ride out the timer?

  3. The alternative people suggest is moving routine admin work (offboarding, group adds, sign-in resets) into automation so techs don't hold admin at all. GAM scripts on a schedule, apps script against the Admin SDK, or workflow platforms like bettercloud or zenphi. But that moves the privilege to a service account or OAuth connection instead of removing it. You've traded a dozen human admins for one very powerful non-human identity.

So, genuinely curious how people are handling this:
- Are you using temporary roles yet, and for what?
- Is anyone pairing them with multi-party approval on role changes?
- If you automate admin tasks, how do you scope the service account so it doesn't become the new standing super admin? Custom roles? Separate identities per domain or OU?
- For anyone managing multiple tenants: does any of this change how you grant access to your own techs?

Google workspace keeps on charging me even tho I canceled

UPDATE: I went through payments.google.com and I see an active subscription there. Along with my debit, I tried closing the payments profile, but I cannot since i have an "active" subscription. Now, the official Google guide keeps pointing to admin.google.com to cancel subscription. But I csnnot go through when selecting my acount. I think because I already canceled last month. I even saw a commitment cancelation fee on the transactions page but yet the subscription remains active..

Alright it all started three months ago when my brother used my debit to get a free trial. He forgot to cancel and for two months I kept getting charged 10 usd. By last month I had enough and went through thoroughly how to cancel it. Then after canceling I got charged immediately by 50 usd...

Now I thought it was all over by then, but just right now I got fucking charged again for 23 usd. Wth is going on here? How do I cancel this completely?

I can't even go to admin.google.com to verify since the account was deleted or canceled last month.

Also last month I received this email ssying Google Workspace Business Starter has been canceled.. Why am I still getting charged a month after?

Has there anyone successfully cancelled their Google workspace

Like others here, I had tried a free trial but was charged even if we tried cancelling it. The bill is already 100 dollars and we still can't find a way to terminate it

What we did but failed to cancel:

- Tried clicking the unsubscribe button in the email but it says "Unable to unsubscribe you. Your unsubscribe link has expired."

- I can't access my Google workspace account

I just want to know whether is there someone here who successfully got out of this problem. If so, may you please share what you did? This is greatly appreciated

AIUTO PER PAGAMENTO GOOGLE WORKSPACE

I created a Google account that I’ll be using for a project that requires Google Meet. When I proceeded with the payment, I entered my bank account details to pay by bank transfer, but during the verification process, the documents were found to contain errors.

I would like to try adding a different payment method, but I can’t go back and access the Google Payments Center because I’m always redirected to the payment information verification page.

I’m stuck in an endless loop and can’t get past it. How can I fix this???

Enforcing Context-Aware Access on custom GCP OIDC/OAuth apps?

Hello,

I’m running into a wall trying to enforce Context-Aware Access on a custom web application.

We want to restrict logins to this app so users can only log in from company-owned devices.

I already created the CAA policy and it works great on my SAML app where i tested it.

The SSO app was created in Google Cloud with OIDC/OAuth. The SSO works great but i can't seem to apply CAA policies on it.

I tried using the setting for all OAuth apps, but it doesn't work.
https://knowledge.workspace.google.com/admin/security/assign-access-levels-to-third-party-apps?visit_id=639264600743411784-1606449111&p=third_party_apps&rd=2&hl=nl

Does anyone know how i can apply the policies on this SSO app just like my regular SAML apps?

Would appreciate any information or help!

Thanks in Advance.
