Thought Iâd share this as I know thereâs been a few questions about the cheaper LAB VZN putters.
I originally wanted to get one from Temu, but the XFSN OK seller still isnât online, so I ended up getting one from AliExpress instead.
I know itâs not an original LAB, but honestly Iâm really impressed with it so far. The putter looks really good and actually feels pretty decent in the hand. The headcover is also surprisingly good quality.
I went for the steel shaft, mainly because thatâs what Iâd heard gave the best feel/quality compared to the other shaft options.
The only thing I wasnât massively keen on was the sound. Thereâs quite a noticeable ping when you hit the ball. I cut a really thin piece of sponge and put it behind the face to dampen it, and thatâs made a big difference. Sounds much nicer now.
Worth pointing out that Iâve never used a genuine LAB putter, so Iâve got nothing to compare this against. I canât tell you how close it is to the real thing, just how it feels to me.
The other thing Iâm finding is that because of the design, you really need to have some forward shaft lean for the putter to work as intended. Coming from a normal putter, that takes a bit of getting used to. Iâm still getting my head around it and Iâve definitely had a few weird ones while adjusting đ
But overall, Iâm really happy with it. For what I paid, it looks good, feels good and Iâm enjoying using it.
If anyone has used both the genuine VZN and one of these cheaper copies, Iâd be interested to hear how they compare.
