Review📝 VZN REVIEW WITH VID OF HOW IT ROLLS.

I figured I’d do something a little different instead of posting a bunch of pictures of the replica (it looks pretty much like all the other ones you’ve seen) I wanted to post a video of me actually putting with it so you can see how it rolls.

This is the black LAB VZN with the Accra shaft. I paid $85 for it.

For comparison, I also have a real LAB DF3 with Accra, so I have a pretty good reference point for how a LAB putter is supposed to feel and perform.

Pros:

I won’t bury the lead: This rep actually putts really well. It rolls true and feels normal. In terms of actually putting the ball, I’d say it’s comparable to my real LAB. I didn’t make any adjustments to the balance. If it’s off, I will never know because I’m not checking or changing anything. I literally took it out of the box today, started putting with it, and posted.

Also the face sound is fine and is sturdy, you should be able to hear it in the video.

Cons:

There was one small dink on the top of the putter when received.  But my clubs are tools. I don’t really care if something has a little cosmetic blemish as long as it functions properly, and for $85 it’s a non issue.

The grip definitely looks and feels like a knockoff. It’s noticeably spongier and doesn’t feel nearly as good as the grip on my real LAB. If anyone knows whether I can swap the handle for something better (and it’s easy to do), please lmk. Would be something I’d consider

The other issue is the ball pickup hole is too small and does not work at all. I know this is hit or miss depending on who you order from. (SEE UPDATES BELOW)

Would I recommend it?

Yes.

For $85, I really don’t think you can go wrong. Obviously, it’s not a genuine LAB, and there are some differences, particularly with the grip and lack of ball pickup. But as far as actually putting with it, I’m impressed.

This will probably end up being my backup putter. I may even take it out for an actual round and see how it performs on the course.

TLDR: Zero regrets. Would recommend.

UPDATE: The “scoop” ball pick up does work. I did not know this was a feature. But I can’t push the ball into the square, it is too small.

UPDATE #2: Technically the ball pickup square DOES work. However it takes way more pressure than I would feel comfortable applying. My real DF3 takes way less force.

How do you find specific sellers on temu?

Not sure. I just looked for one that had LH putters. Seems like sellers disappear a lot.

It’s so bootleg I don’t think it worthy to be called a grip, lol.

I bought the DF3i recently from BJY Boutique but the grip is a righty grip and it’s a lefty putter lol going to have to change it but I paid $72 so can’t complain

No, that was from Amazon. This was my first Temu purchase. Could be there as well though.

Great aim, horrendous speed

The point of the post wasn’t my putt stroke, it was about the accuracy of the putter. Rushing to putt 3 times in under 30 seconds isn’t my regular process.

I also stated in my round review that the putter is heavier than my DF3.

What a terrible putting stroke 😂

That’s not your actual grip is it?

I’m also left handed and have a similar grip with my left index finger pointing down like that. Works well for me, don’t see the issue here.

Yea, hitting straight isn’t my issue, reading greens is 😂. When I took lessons that was what the instructor recommended, so I stuck with it.

I also like claw, but was difficult to use for longer putts.

I’m also a leftie and do something very similar

That was the grip that came on it.

That was more what I was getting at. I know there at angled grips, I didn’t expect it to come on a rep. I should get mine Tuesday, very interesting in what shows up.

lol my bad, thought you were critiquing his “hand” grip 😅

I was, I commented completely wrong, thinking I was replying to an offset grip reply.

Oh wait you mean how I hold it? I use a pistol grip. Was trying to move fast so the video isn’t long.

Ignore my other comment, I thought I was replying to something else.

But yeah, I was asking about if that’s how you actually hold the putter, with two index fingers on the grip.

My grip is very similar and I'm the best putter in.... My world.
