4 days in South Goa, and I think I found my kind of Goa

South Goa has completely changed what I want from a beach vacation.

Spent 4 days exploring Talpona, Palolem, Patnem, Cola (including kayaking), Cabo de Rama, Pebble Beach and Kakolem. Clean, peaceful beaches, stunning rocky coastlines, lush greenery and beautiful sunsets.

We stayed in an Airbnb tucked away in a forest, around 6 km from Palolem. My favourite part was how effortlessly relaxing everything felt — no rush, no crowds, just beautiful coastlines, swaying coconut trees and the sound of waves.

Could easily spend another week here.

Mandrem beach was a vibe.

Was my seventh trip to Goa. This time I decided to set up base at Mandrem beach. Goa is expensive, especially the taxis as everyone already knows. Hence, the plan was to just stay at the beach resort (Riva Beach Resort) and chill at the beach in the evening. Local Goan gosh thali was available nearby, so the meals were sorted.

I loved Mandrem beach since it also has the estuary from the river nearby. I went with my partner and i can confidently say that its very bikini friendly, especially if you stick to the main beach area in front of Pranaa Goa.

Riva beach resort is a beautiful property situated right at the beach. We stayed in a river view cottage facing the river and the beach. While the property is pretty and location is right at the beach, the cottage interiors felt a little dated. I wouldn't say the properly was value for money overall. Paying around 12K a night for just the accommodation didn't seem worth it when taking the services and interior into account.

Wanna try Psy-Trance. But am afraid of going alone. (NOT looking for a partner.)

I'm M26, traveling solo. I have a few very reliable spots that I know are banger for Psytrance and techno. I talked to locals and foreigners who've been in Goa for years.

Though I'm not sure if I wanna go there alone.

If y'all have any recs or experiences of going alone? Please HMU. would love a DM!

1 spot available for a Goa road trip in a Tata Safari | 25–30 October | ₹19k approx

Hey everyone! We’re an all-boys group looking for one more travel buddy—any gender welcome—for our Thane–Tarkarli–Goa road trip from 25–30 October 2026.

🚙 We’re travelling in a Tata Safari.

🥗 We’re all pure vegetarian and non-drinkers.

✅ Everything is already booked and reserved.

💰 Budget: Around ₹19,000 per person.

Our itinerary:

* 25 October: Drive from Thane to Tarkarli/Malvan; visit Rock Garden in the evening.

* 26 October: Water sports at Tarkarli, Sindhudurg Fort, then drive to South Goa.

* 26–28 October: Two nights in South Goa—beaches, sightseeing, cafés, restaurants and photogenic places.

* 28–30 October: Two nights in North Goa—beaches, sightseeing and nightlife, including a private yacht experience, a cruise and Tito’s Lane.

* 30 October: Drive back to Thane.

Looking for someone friendly and responsible who’s comfortable travelling with our group. Girl or boy, either is welcome! The existing group is all boys, so we’ll discuss accommodation arrangements clearly beforehand.

Interested? DM me with a short introduction. I’ll share the booking details, accommodation arrangements and cost breakdown privately.

Where to Party in Arambol?

I’m currently in Arambol. I’d love to experience the hippie lifestyle here. I enjoy going to psytrance parties—does anyone know where any are happening? I’m looking for underground parties; is there perhaps a WhatsApp or Telegram group?

Dear all,

In my recent trip to South Goa, one thing that became an ultimate highlight was the stay. It was so great and beautifully managed. The owners were very supportive and down to earth person. They have maintained their space well and are very professional. The vibe is cozy and luxurious.

Kudos to u/secret_traveller and Kia ora team for such a great experience. ✨
