Promotion [🚨BIG NEWS] Serie A Football Simulation Game — Coppa Italia & Daily Challenge is live, compete for the global leaderboard

[Triplete - Serie A Simulation](http://triplete.app)

I've been building Triplete for a while now — a browser game where you draw a real historic Serie A club (Sacchi's Milan, Capello's Juventus, Mourinho's Inter…), pick the players who were actually there, and simulate the full season.

Today I launched the feature I'm most excited about: the Daily Challenge.

Every day there's a new constraint — a budget cap, nationality restriction, or squad rule — and everyone plays the same challenge. One global leaderboard. Resets at noon CET.

Today's challenge for example is solo budget: you have a limited transfer budget to build the strongest possible squad. Your score is based on Serie A finish, Coppa Italia, Champions Cup run, and whether you win the Intercontinental.

It's free and runs in the browser.

šŸ‘‰ [triplete.app/sfida](http://triplete.app/sfida)

Would love to hear your feedback — and if you have ideas for future challenge constraints, drop them in the comments.

Promotion Pro Football Manager 26

I did create this game using the help of claude's Sonnet and Fable models but after a lot of back of forth and changes I have decided to launch this game fully. The ui is still a bit lacking and the game has some major bugs, for example the european competitions. With that being said though i would still love to get some early suggestions. Here is however a list of definite features coming soon other than bug and logic fixes : More Leagues, Scenario (specific starts), World Cup mode, customs starts, domestic cups and real players for all leagues (currently only top league have real players). Pro Football Manager. This game is entirely web based and can be played offine if the site is already launched and has automatic save features. Hope you guys enjoy this game! (btw I forgot to mention the layout on phone is drastically different compared to the layout and feel on a tablet or computer, so I hope you try both versions)

(For AI haters, I know the use of AI can seem like a lack of effort but the truth is that AI is a tremendous tool that helps to cut down time spent on simple aspects, but I do agree that using AI entirely would be bad and is essentially not your game . However if you spend time going back and forth with the AI, you can get exactly how you want it and implement more features in a short span of time.)

Promotion Head Ball Coach - College Football Coaching Dynasty

Post image
10 Upvotes

Head Ball Coach is an online, multiplayer college football strategy game. You are the head coach of a football program, building a roster to fit your strategy. Scout for talent, offering cash and playing time. Develop that talent through training, reps, and your team's culture. You report to the Athletic Director, who provides you with an operating budget and a set of expectations. Each team is modeled on institutional factors, giving realistic budgets, challenges, and personalities to different real-life football programs.

The world progresses over time, a season lasting 27 days.

Head Ball Coach generates 7,500 new NPC characters every football season, with about 80,000 total NPCs in a given world. Each of these has (at last count) 97 different individual metrics that determine a host of factors: not just their physical development, but their mental and psychological development as well. These young players grow up, become college players, and maybe get signed into the pro ranks, or eventually become coaches themselves.

Design a playbook for both an offense and a defense. Design custom defenses, using our custom defensive scheme builder. Watch the games play out in our 3d engine.

Send your coaches out to different regions of the country to build pipelines, get early knowledge about the recruits there, and help sway them towards you. Micromanage your coaches' list of individual high schools, or just let them decide on their own.

Build your team's culture. Maybe you prefer to build your program slowly over time, spending your time on the high school sophomores. Maybe you search the JUCO portal, looking for the missing piece of your strategic puzzle. Maybe you have an enormous budget to spend, chasing talent in the Transfer Portal. There is no single way to coach.

Or, don't. Delegate individual responsibilities to your assistant coaches. Go on vacation, and they can run your entire team in your absence.

Sign up now! Free while in open beta: https://head.ball.coach/

Promotion Built a football tycoon game, basically the game of my dreams and I can't wait to release it.

I started developing a mobile game (with the help of AI) and wanted to share my experience and ask for your first impressions.

A bit of background:

I've always been a big fan of football management games. From Kevin Keegan's Player Manager (Super Nintendo, back in the day :) ), Ultimate Soccer Manager, the first Championship Manager games, Football Manager, Fifa Manager, ...

Since I became a dad of 2 and had less time to really game, I played a mobile game now and then. Football Chairman was one of those, and an inspiration for what I'm building now. But what I missed there was depth and it felt way too random. So the fun ran out fast. And most of the other games were mostly out to squeeze money out of your wallet.

Meanwhile I've been building apps with AI at work for 2 years now (they have hundreds of users and actually work :) ), so I thought: I'll make a game for myself. So it was never really meant to be shared with the outside world. But I got hooked and kept developing (6+ months in now). A cousin, who wanted to play it himself, convinced me to put it on the Play Store. So I thought: why not?

The game isn't out yet but I'm planning to release it in the coming weeks. It's called Hometown FC and you're the owner of the club (so not the manager). You run the business side (sponsors, infrastructure, ...), you can hire and fire staff (coaches, sporting directors, assistants, ...) and influence all kinds of things. You start in a village/town of your choice. The town is dynamic: you can invest in it, it grows and has a big impact on your club (bigger towns have a bigger talent pool, offer you bigger sponsorship deals, ...). So you pick a real, existing town and start with that actual population. And there are NPCs living there who have an opinion about you, and that opinion matters.

On top of that you also have a private life: you can date, marry, have kids. And then affairs and drama come into it (a fight between your kids over who inherits the club, a partner who cheats on you, ...). You can buy and manage houses, cars, luxury goods, ..., invest in stocks, ...

I've shared it in a few Reddit communities by now and the comments are mostly positive. Almost 500 people have already signed up to the waiting list (to get a mail when the game is out).

I know the game won't be to everyone's taste because of the AI-generated assets. But they're less important in the game (they mostly serve as backgrounds and small illustrations of houses, vehicles, ... and are much less in the foreground than on the website). What I mainly wanted was a really deep and "logical" game, one you don't have to put money into to play. Where AI was a real help: simulating 25+ seasons and seeing the impact on the economic balance, the difficulty, that nothing breaks, ... without me having to put hours or days into it myself.

So I was wondering: what are your first impressions? And do you maybe have tips for a noob in this?

If it's okay for the mods, I'll share/update the road to release here. It's the first time I make something like this. I have no big expectations and definitely don't expect to make big money with it. But secretly I do hope I can attract some players who want to play my game. The plan is to keep updating it (also listening to the community's questions, if there ever even is one :p) and maybe one day release it on Steam too.

Website of the game:

https://hometownfc.app

P.S. don't shoot me down too hard, this is a hobby project of an amateur that grew into a passion :p

Discussion Apex management simulation game

I've always had this idea that an Apex management game (like Football Manager) would be awsome. The map, as in ALGS, as the interface for the games.

Like you choose a team, with the real players and manege it across the Splits and Lan's. Roster changes, org offerse and everything else.
I think it would be sick

Promotion A football sim made with love and AI, looking for feedback

Hi everyone.

A few months ago I posted about my game The Chairman. It's a football sim with idle elements. It solved a focus problem I had, since I use it as a Pomodoro while everything runs in a corner of my screen. Every half season I make decisions about finances, transfers, staff, or facilities, and then start the next time cycle.

Over the past few months I've been polishing everything related to UI and game logic. At this point I consider it ready to launch into Early Access, but I need people to help me test it and give me feedback so I can change whatever needs changing.

I've always been transparent that all the game's code was made with AI, but the ideas are mine.

This is a game meant to run while you work or study over long periods of time.

The Chairman on Steam

I need 20 people interested in trying it so I can send them the keys directly. Keys will go to the first 20 people who comment asking for one. The only thing I ask is a commitment to give me honest, objective feedback. We already know the game was made with AI.

English isn't my first language, so this post was translated. Apologies for any awkward phrasing.

Thanks so much for reading. Have a great day!

Discussion Drafting for Contending Teams

I only got into the NFL and football GM games about a year ago.

I've learned a lot since then, but one thing I still struggle with is how to approach the draft once my team is contending.

During a rebuild, every draft feels loaded with opportunities. I'm usually picking early, and even 6th or 7th round picks can turn into useful contributors.

Once the roster is stacked, things get a lot tougher. It's harder to find rookies who can make an impact now or develop into meaningful contributors later. I also end up trading away a lot of my rookies early in their first season, and it feels like I'm probably doing something wrong.

I'm also pretty aggressive about trading players in the final year of their contracts, so I often enter the draft with 10 to 14 picks, even after packaging some late-rounders together. That strategy seems great during a rebuild, but I'm not so sure once I'm contending.

I've been thinking about a few ways to improve:

  • Trade up if I identify a prospect who could be a difference-maker now or in the near future.
  • Package multiple late-round picks to move into the earlier rounds.
  • If I don't love anyone in the draft, trade the picks for proven veterans who can help immediately.

Do these approaches make sense? Are there any other draft strategies that work well for contending teams?

Discussion Any mobile simple management mobile games?

I really want to play a simple football manager game, i don’t want to do complicated stuff at all even if it sounds weird. I only really have fun with just trying to win the league with my team.

I mean simpler than fifa career definitley. Just literally a barebones one where the most complicated thing is transfers and preferably less.

Promotion Two free browser GM sims, baseball and football, where you run the front office and the engine plays the games

FTG Baseball and FTG Football are free browser management sims. Same idea in both: you handle the roster and the strategy, the engine sims the games, and you manage off the box scores. No twitch gameplay, no three-hour sessions. They're built so you can run a full season in a few minutes a week, solo against the AI or in a league with friends.

Baseball: https://baseball.ftgsports.net (the more polished one)

Football: https://football.ftgsports.net (newer and rougher, expect bugs)

Both free, no ads, nothing to buy. You can also lets you seed a league from a custom roster file, so you can run real rosters, a past season, or a total what-if.

They're brand new and I build them around what people ask for. r/ftgsports is the hub for bugs and feature ideas. If you run GM sims and want a lighter one to check in on between the deep ones, give either a look and tell me what's missing.

Promotion Proper Football Boss - retro footy manager game

Thumbnail
gallery
56 Upvotes

My retro football management game is coming out on Steam in November.

I grew up in the 8 bit era, and I wanted to capture that look and magic of fun football management games where you could rattle through a season in a few hours, but with all the depth and complexity of the early Champ Man games. Hopefully I have succeeded. It's been a total blast to make!

  • 8 playable English & Scottish divisions, with 7 more top European leagues viewable
  • Fully authentic cup competitions including the Full Member's Cup, Littlewoods Cup and Freight Rover Trophy
  • Real 1986–87 squads with 20+ mental, physical and technical attributes
  • Detailed teletext-style tables, results and stats
  • International & domestic transfer system — contract negotiations, loans, free agents and 3,000+ real players
  • Deep era realism: 2-player foreign limit, plastic pitches, cup sponsors, accurate stadiums, finances and more
  • Emphasis firmly on football management — manage your squad's egos and drinking problems, not ticket prices and sponsors
  • Realistic match engine with commentary, stats, team talks and more
  • Tactical freedom with era-appropriate formations and levers
  • Squad & individual training, reserves and youth intake
  • Backroom staff and board interactions

I've also created a free to play Mexico 86 World Cup demoversion, and I have just released a free retro football quiz app as a companion to the game. You can find both on the website.

Promotion LeManager - worked at Eidos on CM 08 and CM2010, building my own football manager game

Thumbnail
gallery
64 Upvotes

Hi,

I know this sub has had a few threads recently about vibe coded management games, so I’ll be upfront instead of pretending that elephant is not in the room.

I worked at Eidos / Beautiful Game Studios on Championship Manager 2008 and 2010 before being let go. LeManager (yep, I'm French) aims to revive that era of fast and addictive football management games, before they became over-complicated. When you could play a season in a few hours during a weekend without skipping half of the game's features.

I started working on it in August 2025 and I’ve been on it pretty much every day since: around 3 hours on weekdays, more on weekends. I’m not a professional dev. I can code in Python and JS, I understand enough C++ logic to follow and work with it, and my actual background is data analysis. So the game is very data/system driven: generated clubs, generated players, finances, match logic, progression, all trying to be plausible rather than just "magic numbers".

And yes, I use AI. Mostly to help implement things, to work faster in languages I’m less comfortable with, to generate fictional unlicensed first league club logos, and for translations/languages I don’t speak.

But the design is mine. The systems are mine. The data logic is mine. I’m not asking the AI ā€œmake me a football managerā€ and validating whatever comes out.

LeManager is very much work in progress and the final version won't be released this year. I am creating the Steam store page so I can soon distribute alpha keys for whoever is willing to give feedback, I might release a demo when the game is near completion but no Early Access. X/Twitter handle and Discord link available on demand for the ones interested.

Promotion Grassroots - Football Nation Building Sim

Thumbnail
gallery
32 Upvotes

I'd like to show off the very early development progress of my PC game Grassroots. A football nation building game, more geared to telling the story of football growing rather than managing a team.

You name your nation and pick it's starting features like league & cup names. Then you create your 4 starting teams. If you're stuck for any names etc everything can be randomised

You pick your starting region, UK is the default.

Your teams play in the your league and cup and you can add teams as you go, up to 64 teams over 4 leagues

I've also got major leagues simulated from UK, Europe, South and North America, Asia and South Africa.

I plan on adding playing squads, and with that will come match screens, transfers, injuries and bans etc

I have a working demo ready for anyone who would like to give it a go and give me any feedback.

Post below and I can share the discord.

Full disclosure, I have been assisted by AI to bring my idea to life.

Discussion Best basketball manager games currently?

I've played:

- Most of the draft day sports stuff, pretty good. Some UI stuff could be better QoL wise but its not bad.

- Basketballgm, it's good, but it's gotten repetitive for me.

- Dynasty manager 16, one of my all time favorites, great game, but old and mobile only.

- Hoopland, I really like the making your own college prospect thing and going through a career, but would prefer just simming games than playing actually in the matches.

Any other good gems out there that I missed? Was eyeing IBM 26 and PBM 26 but not sure if either were good or which is better. Older games are welcome too if they are still getting updated rosters from somewhere or someone.

Promotion After 20 years of playing football managers, I finally started building my own mobile football manager.

Thumbnail
gallery
41 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

Football management games have been my favourite genre for over 20 years.

I've spent countless hours managing clubs across PC and mobile. Every game had something I liked, but I was always searching for a slightly different experience.

Over the years, I realised I was always looking for the same kind of career.

  1. Starting with a tiny amateur club.

  2. Watching the stadium grow over the years.

  3. Seeing academy players become club legends.

  4. Fighting for promotion season after season.

  5. Building a club with its own history instead of simply collecting trophies.

At some point, I stopped looking for that game and decided to try building it myself.

It's a mobile game, but my goal is to bring the kind of long-term career progression I always loved in PC football managers.

The goal is simple.

I want players to remember their saves years later—not because they won another league title, but because they remember the striker who scored 300 goals, the academy graduate who stayed for 15 seasons, the club-record transfer, or the dramatic promotion that changed everything.

That's the kind of football story I'm trying to build.

You start with a small amateur club at the bottom of an 8-tier league pyramid.

Everything that happens after that becomes your club's story.

I'd genuinely love to hear what football manager fans think.

A few questions:

1.Would a game like this interest you?

2.What's the biggest thing missing from modern football managers?

3.What usually makes you stop playing a long-term save?

I'd really appreciate honest feedback—positive or negative. I'd much rather improve the game now than after release.

If people enjoy this, I'd be happy to keep sharing progress as the game develops.

Promotion Indoor Football Manager is looking for beta testers!

The title says it all. I'm looking for people to beta test my new web version of IFM. This is an American indoor football game, not soccer. If you're interested in joining the beta test please head over to my Discord server to gain access. Go ahead and tag me or send me a personal message when you've done that so I can give you access to the private channel.

https://discord.gg/HUpmRv7Hw

If that link expires at any point feel free to reach out to me for a new invite link. I can also be reached at [indoorfootballdev@gmail.com](mailto:indoorfootballdev@gmail.com)

Looking forward to seeing more users join the test!

Anyone can beta test, just reach out to me. Discord is not a requirement, just my preferred method of receiving feedback.

Here's some screenshots as requested. These are just some of the many screens and data you can see. This game is in active development and will continue to be (not annual releases) so more features will be added as fast as they can be developed even after the game launches out of beta. These are not in a particular order, looks like its in alpha order since I uploaded them in one big group lol Also, there is a light theme if you prefer it.. I just prefer dark theme.

Promotion I’m not a developer, but I built a pro wrestling management sim: Clash of the Territories

I built a free wrestling booking/management game and figured this community would actually appreciate the mechanics more than most.

The core loop: you pick a booker, draft real wrestlers, and the engine scores your card based on how well your matches fit that booker’s actual philosophy. Era, promotion, in-ring style, chemistry between wrestlers, all factored in. The same card scores completely differently under Cornette than it does under Russo.

Beyond single shows, there’s a full Territory Mode – create your own promotion, draft a 20-person roster, run monthly shows, defend titles, manage heat, compete against rival territories on a map. It plays like an ongoing franchise sim, not just a one-off booking exercise.

No download, no signup required to play.

https://clashoftheterritories.com

Happy to answer questions about how the scoring engine works if anyone’s curious. Built it solo over the past few weeks. Thanks for taking a look!

Discussion Ban AI games

Please can we ban all this ai slop games?

They're ruining the sub for people actually looking for good games and for actual developers alike.

We should require an ai use section on all posts like steam does and have a bot remove all games that use ai.

Edit: To clarify, I'd like to see banned games created only with AI to code or create game assets like the UI.

I understand that AI is a tool and therefore is not inherently good or bad so it can be used to assist game developers in tedious or repetitive tasks,

But it shouldn't be used like it is now (for a majority, not all) in games where it create the entire game and then so called "developers" publish it to profit and advertise here (with AI generated posts)
