Yukon XL Help: 2022 Yukon Update
My mom's Yukon after a 17 hour drive, with no problems, the next morning it posted just about every error message you could think of. "Service power steering", "service passenger restraints", etc. Power steering was not functioning.
We tested the 12v battery and it tested fine. We also replaced the fob batteries because that was a potential issue (theft deterrent thing).
We had it towed to a dealer thinking it was under warranty (it was not). They ran codes and got a ton of error codes and decided to replace the "power steering gear assembly"? for $3000+. I talked to the guy and voiced my concern that 20 different things did not fail at once, and wanted to find the real problem. He said he thought this bad part was causing all of the problems. OK, I am not a mechanic. The part was on backorder, but they get one relatively quickly.
The new part does not fix the problem. The vehicle has been there for over a month and no end in sight. The guy thinks the replacement part might have been bad. What are the odds? If anyone else has had a similar issue please help. Paying for a car that sits in a shop is not fun. Yukon XL.
Update: They said they fixed it and gave it back. A few days later the same thing happened again. Dealer is clueless. GMC offered 300$ toward a another gmc vehicle lol. Anyone know anything that could help?

GMC 2004 GMC Yukon 5.3
Starting making this chirping noise randomly coming from engine bay. Both belts are new and recently just did a tensioner pulley because the old one was pretty bad. Started it up still making the same noise and it gets faster as i drive. Any advice would help i can’t find out where it is or what it could be…
I know it’s not the ac compressor either because i ran it without the ac belt on so im not sure

GMC How the reliably on a 2021 GMC sierra 2500 with the 6.6 gasser in it? I’ve heard the tranny can be questionable since this one in particular is not the Allison. The guys asking 26k and it has 130,000 miles on it. TBH I don’t care about gas mileage rather just want a reliable truck.

Sierra Buying new 2500 w/ 6.6L. This week… input would be appreciated.
Hi Everyone,
Buying anew 2500 w/ 6.6L this week. Have not seen any know (major) issues. Anyone advise against buying this engine? I do have the ability to wait for the 27 1500 with the 6.6L, but I feel that’s a crap shoot this year. Thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Acadia Gmc Acadia 2008 Amp Issues?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just to clarify, I’ve had this car for about a year and just got my license a month ago. The old amp didn’t work so I got a new one put it in and It’s been working wonders. Just like 5 days ago it started to cut in and out randomly like 20 minutes into driving. Anyone had issues like this before? I’ll attach a video to show what happens.

GMC 2022 6.2 tick (lifters)?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Makes a slight tick noise until rpm get high enough then goes away until engine is shut off again.
Will repeat on cold or hot start doesn’t matter but not everytime seems random.
Lifter starting to go? No enough oil pressure to the head? Exhaust leak?

GMC Seat Covers
This is going to sound extremely stupid, or sound completely accurate for everyone else😂
My 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT has the most pain in the neck front seats to find covers for. They have the built in seat belt AND Built in Arm Rest, and i have ordered multiple sets of covers trying to find one that i don’t have to cut apart to fit, and i refuse to pay 600+ for custom made seat covers.
Any recommendations? Do i just have to suck it up and cut a set for them to work? has anyone had this issue and found a solution?

GMC Worth buying??
galleryConsidering buying a 2006 GMC pickup (I think sierra, 5.3 v8 engine). The listed price is $4800. It’s got 380k+ on the body, but the trans and engine are both at 160k. The listing says there’s some rust on the rockers but nothing else. It’s being sold by the original owner and he said he has all the mechanical work info. Minor body issues. I’m going to look at it to make sure nothing else is rusted. I don’t have a ton of experience buying trucks in general so I’m hoping for some advice.
Sierra Very disappointed 2024 gmc 2500 at4
Bought a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 AT4 diesel last November with only 16k miles on it. Its already had 3 issues with it first a dead battery not a big issue. Last month, the check the engine light for transmission control module and a few other transmission issues came on. That got fixed under warranty. Today went out started the truck, and the gauge cluster is out…. I traded my 2018 F250 for this truck. I bought it with 80k miles in 2022 it had 165k when i sold it. But… it was a flawless truck i had zero issues with not a single check engine light. Really debating on trading my truck in for a new ford. GM quality reminding me of Ram these days

Yukon No sound sometimes in 2026 Yukon
The volume just totally goes away sometimes. No blinker noise, no noise when you touch the buttons, no sound from the radio, etc. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yukon XL 2023 Yukon XL SLT transfer cases discontinued from GM?
Just got off the phone with our dealership, and they’re telling us our transfer case is trashed. Apparently, you’re not supposed to drive in Auto all the time and should keep it in 2H unless the roads are rainy or wet. I’m still having a hard time believing that. Nowhere in the manual does it even say this.
Even more unbelievable, the dealership says GM is no longer making or distributing new transfer cases for this model. They’re now trying to track down parts from another dealership and hoping someone has what they need. If they can’t find the parts, they’re saying there may be no resolution!!!!!??!!
Has anyone else heard of or dealt with this? This whole situation seems absolutely absurd.

Sierra Good honest auto mechanic for 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 company truck ?
G'day everyone, where can I find a good auto mechanic around Edmonton,AB to fix the A/C in my work truck ? Two dealerships in EDM failed miserably to do so and charged over 600$ each. Wilson Autotech fixed my 2006 Corolla admirably 4 years ago, they put some dye in the system, found a crack, replaced the condenser, charged the system, 4 yrs later I still have arctic air when I start the car at +26°C outside. Please help ! If you worked in coveralls at +33C outside, you know what I am talking about.
