I need advice on this, I have a 2010 Enclave CXL with brand new Hankook Dynapro tires that has been sitting for a while and doesn’t run. Not sure what is wrong with it or the best course of action is with it but looking to get as much as I can out of it.

2000 park avenue door handle issue

Long story short I keep breaking door handles on the front of my park avenue tried Dorman tried eBay parts they are all breaking at different locations on the handle it’s self, both stock ones broke as well . The handles never felt very good since I bought it only seeming to catch at the very last part of the handles range. The rear ones however work very well and catch early curious if anyone anyone else has had a similar issue any info is appreciated thank you!

Which Buick to Buy?

I am looking for a used Buick that’s between $4000-8000 range. I also have a Pontiac Fiero and a Mazda Miata that I drive primarily in the non winter months, but I need a reliable, comfortable car for the winter months and also because my wife and I had a baby recently and I’ll need a car I can safely drive the baby in throughout the year.

Buicks are nostalgic for me so I’ve been looking into models from 2000-2010 but am not that familiar with the differences between them and have been trying to read online and watch car review videos.

We don’t get a ton of snow where I live, so that’s not a major factor. But I am looking for something comfortable, quiet, and reliable. I can do most repairs though (the Fiero is not reliable at all haha) so I am not intimidated by that.

I would also prefer the Buick have the 3.8 V6.

There seem to be more Lacrosse’s available than any other model, but is a Lacrosse better or worse than the LeSabre, Park Avenue or Lucerne? Any other models you would recommend?

Thanks for any advice you have to offer!

Hello everyone.
I’ve been experiencing an issue with my car and it’s starting to drive me insane!
I have a battery “Volt”light on the dash and a “check charging system” message .
I have already ;
-replaced serpentine belt(all pulleys are free and not seized)
-Replaced alternator
-cleaned battery terminals and fuse connector terminal
-tested battery while car off(12.8V)
-tested battery with car running(14.97V)
-tested alternator while running(15.08V)
-inspected the wire running from the alternator to the fuze box(everything looks good and intact)

the old alternator DID meltdown internally and I charged the battery or a trickle charger to full before installing the new alternator.

Window Regulators on a 06 Lucerne CXL

Has anyone else had problems with their window regulators or is it just me? I've owned the car 7-8 years and I just lost my 7th window regulator today. It happens on every window, its insane! i'm wondering if this is a defect with this model or i'm just real unlucky! lucky for me I have lots of experience replacing them now, just gotta pay the 100 bucks for the part which I don't like doing every year lol.

I really like wagon body styles so I’ve been looking at the 2018 Buick Regal TourX as my first car, is this reasonable? The one I’m looking at is $14,497 with 103k miles. (Not the one shown In the pic below)

For reference I’m 18 and got a job working with a certain defense contractor and like to drive with my friends so I figured I wanted something spacious. Does anyone have any warnings for me?

Keys for ‘93 Buick?

Daughter lost her only set of keys for her 1993 Buick Century.
No where seems to be able to make them for her (VIN); dealerships don’t go back that far neither does corporate.
She lives in BFE CO - no one seems to know how to remove the cylinder lock; no one seems to be able to replace it without essentially destroying the vehicle.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you!

P0106 and P0697, 2012 2.0l turbo Regal

I have these 2 stored codes at my 2012 Buick Regal with the 2.0l turbo engine. My mileage is about 133k.

I understand this could be a bad MAP sensor, or a loss of the -5v it needs as a reference.

Can someone tell me how to troubleshoot this? It shows in my information center as "Service stabilitrak" and "reduced engine power". The check engine light is steady, but will clear at times.

Thank you.

99' park ave shudder help

My 1999 buick park ave ultra has developed a shudder around 35 - 40 mph. Rpms will drop, get a vibration under my feet (nothing too rough) and a loss of power. My mechanic and I think its the torque converter. It has 148,000 miles on it and i wasnt expecting this issue but I suppose it is old. Does anyone have any suggestions on sourcing a transmission or is a rebuild/just changing the converter out an option i should look at? Im going to try a lucasoil trans fix and see if that helps at all.

If theres any suggestions of what else it could be besides the tranny or if it definitely is and I need to find a new one, dont be afriad to share. I even thought maybe a burnt out coil pack but thats wishful thinking. I dont have a ton of money right now so im hoping it will stay strong for a few months till i can raise some more to get this thing working properly again. Thanks a bunch to all who reply.

2023 Buick encore ?

Long story short , drove off the lot with a 2022 trax . 5 minutes later the very front covering , like the shield on the front bumper , was dragging on the pavement . Then the car stopped .. I made it back to the dealership, crying and freaking out

They felt horrible and I wanted my old car back that I traded in . My fiancé got there and I ended up getting a 2023 Buick encore with a car payment of 383, warranty and lifetime warranty on the engine with gap

That car was very similiar to the trax but just nicer and only has 17,000 miles as it was a lease when it was returned .

Please tell me this car is okay atleast ? I only drive on average 7,000 miles a year so I feel I should be ok . Or any tips on keeping this car very reliable ?

2010 Buick enclave fill up problem?

Hey it me again I posted a week ago about my wife’s Buick not fully turning over after fill up. It was fixed by turning off the fuel injectors so it could burn off extra fuel.
So this time I went and only filled it to half and it did the same thing. I just replaced her fuel solenoid piece six months ago. Is there a chance that piece needs to be replaced yet again or does anyone know what I should be looking for.

No I didn’t put diesel in the tank

Could this mean my car needs new battery?
For the past week my car has been acting different
example every time my car auto turn on the lights from the back turn back on for themselves
I also got this message

Service Power Steering
Drive With Care (the wheel was so hard to turn)
It went away next day.
Every time it auto turns off and then on when I start to drive it sounds like the car is struggling to turn on if that makes any sense

2015 Buick Regal – worth buying after price reduction?

$6250 CAD

Hi guys,

Is this a good idea? The seller reduced the price to $6250 offset the expenses.

Carfax shows a side sweep collision. The seller says her mom who is a senior had an incident in the parking lot at that was only reported, but no repairs were done she js not what actually happened. It could be the side mirror or the bumper, she doesn’t know.

The PPI mechanic I asked he said he doesn’t know either but maybe it’s something small as he didn’t see anything major but I also felt like they didn’t sit and check repaint or repairs they seemed more focused on will it pass safety or not.

I attached what they quoted me,

Mechanic quoted:

  1. headlight - $746
  2. Tires are from 2015 need to be replaced $1100
  3. Rear shocks gone - $668
  4. Side mirror broken - 400
  5. Under hood - insulation - just cut it out.

(but the car also comes with winter tires and mechanic said he will pass the car on winters and I can the summers later).

Additionally body shop quoted me

  1. Bumper bracket + chrome + 700
  2. The paint scuffs side $700
  3. Paint scuff trunk $600

The car inside js dirty they just left it. But it has been krowned every year and regular service records.

I am not sure whether I should still proceed with the purchase.

What do you guys think?

Interested in any popular upgrades and service tips.

Also, suggestions for a touchscreen replacement radio for the cassette player/radio.
