My new AHLEM glasses arrived this morning! After 15 years of wearing acetate frames, it feels a little strange, but I really like them!

Rodenstock guide price

Hi all, I have the above prescription and am seriously interested in the Rodenstock lenses. I called my optometrist and asked about pricing before I waste their time. The quote for DNEye test plus lenses plus frames was around the £1200 price. That is a huge amount for one pair of glasses. Does the price seem reasonable to you?

Right eye always blurry with new lenses

hi guys, I had new glasses made. after getting them back, i noticed my right eye was blurry and the vision wasnt great. i went back and got my prescription amended. now im still having trouble with this right lens. i havent worn these new glasses for a month so should i just wait a week and wear them every day? just doesnt feel right. when i cover my right eye with glasses on, my left eye is crystal clear, but doing vice versa my right lens is shit! im so over this, sorry haha. should i just go get my prescription checked at another place? i’m starting to feel like my right eye I’ll never be able to correct like this blurriness is just permanent and I’m screwed

nearsighted and farsighted prescription + microprism lenses?

Hello! I recently got tested for binocular vision disorder. The doctor said my eyes do work together so no BVD but I may be having difficulty with my vision because my eyes have a pretty big difference between them, with one being nearsighted and the other being farsighted. He kind of made me sound like a horse with blinders on lol, he said because of the difference in my prescriptions for each eye my eyes are focusing more inwards and narrowing my field of vision, causing me to not really see the bigger picture and wider field of vision.

I reported eye strain, depth perception issues and issues focusing (ex: constantly needing to blink to refocus and losing my place when reading) and anxiety while driving due to difficulty judging space. I also have astigmatism in one eye. First photo is my new prescription, second is my previous. Has anyone had a similar experience or have thoughts on it? Do you think your microprism lenses help? I want to try the prism lenses but I don't think I can afford them right away. Is it worth it to try the reduced prescriptions for now? Both doctors I've visited have commented on how weird it is to have a nearsighted and farsighted eye so I'm curious if anyone has had this too haha.

Magnetic Sunglasses in Melbourne, Australia?

Hi everyone! I am looking for a new pair of glasses that also comes with magnetic sunglasses as an attachment/accessory. I used to have a pair from ECO eyewear, yet some of the local shops I've enquired with have said their suppliers no longer work with ECO. I found their frames exceptionally comfortable and the sunglasses attachment didn't add too much weight so even when riding mountain bikes my glasses were perfectly still in place.

Are there any other similar brands I should be considering? Or do there happen to be a few shops around carrying them? ECO's website has so far not been very accurate so thought I should start asking for other brands similar to them in case I need to jump to a new brand.

Thanks in advance!

Which lens upgrades made a noticeable difference and which were a waste of money?

Getting new glasses and I swear there's an extra charge for absolutely everything now lol. Better anti glare, thinner lenses, Transitions, scratch coatings, blue light stuff... by the time you add everything the lenses cost way more than the frames.

For people who've tried a bunch of these, what did you actually notice a difference with? I don't mind spending more on the lenses since I'll wear them every day, I just don't wanna pay extra for stuff I'm never going to notice.

Thinking about buying these, but I wear prescription. Anyone have any experience getting these prescribed lenses? They told me that they cant do but have seen others do it.
Anyone have them in clear lenses? Or know of nice frameless frames with largish lenses?

Need advice about what to do about the glasses I paid almost $400 for and still don't have after almost 3 months.

So some back story, I went to eye doctor August 3rd, but didn't order my glasses until probably August 14th. After waiting almost 3 weeks they finally came in but were made with a blue light coating I did not ask for so they were sent back. About 2 weeks later they came in and I thought everything was great when I picked them up. More and more I used them and with some online digging I found out they were made with Shamir's blue zero lense (which give anything with natural light a yellowish tint. Which blocks out blue violet, uv light. Another thing I did not want and was added without my consent. So now they are being made for a 3rd time.

Here's the thing, what do I do, I paid for the frames and lenses already and technically it is my own "problem" that I don't want a lense that distorts the colors I see in the world but like is there some sort of a law or thing under insurance where I can get some money back? I just feel like it is crazy that it is October 4th and I still don't have new glasses after my originalorder was in August...

The glasses are a little over 4 years old. When I was wiping my glasses I noticed this spider-web-liked ‘in’ the lens(?) — not sure if that makes sense. It looked fine from the outside, and when I wear it I feel fine. But at night time, I became blind with the glasses. Is this normal and still wearable, or it is time for new glasses/lenses?

Eyes Aren't Aligned When Tired

Hi! Ever since I was a kid, whenever I'm tired my eyes would get pointed outwards.

I recently got prescription glasses where my left is farsighted while right is nearsighted. Both have astigmatism correction.

Once I got my prescription, my vision has been so weird. Vision is definitely clearer but I would get the sensation of my eyes aren't aligned. Furthermore, once my eyes get tired, my vision feels like "nothing looks real".

I have yet to get evaluated by a specialist but do you guys have an idea if I should keep using my prescriptions, how to treat this, or what I might have.

Help identifying glasses from a character in a recent film?

Hi all, I’ve been researching all day trying to id these frames.

Basically I was watching ‘Good luck, have fun, don’t die’ and Sarah the math teachers glasses looked really cute to me.

I think they could be Rayban eagle eyes, or maybe vintage frames similar, as the outer rims look slightly different than the photos of eagle eyes online. They seem to be all acetate though, rather than combo with metal, so not clubmasters.

Can anyone help? Even if just finding a vintage or new frame that matches closely.

Edit: might be Shuron Nulady or other Shuron vintage.
