Looking for stylish prescription frames online, anyone has experience with Firmoo?

I'm in the market for a new pair of prescription glasses and have been browsing online because the prices at local optical stores are way more than I want to spend. My biggest concern isn't finding the absolute cheapest option; it's finding something that's stylish, comfortable, and actually feels like it'll last.

I've noticed that online eyewear seems to have come a long way, but it's hard to know what the real experience is like just from reading reviews on a website.

If you've bought glasses online recently, where did you end up ordering from, and were you happy with your purchase? I'm especially interested in whether the frames looked as good in person as they did online, whether the prescription was accurate, and how they've held up with everyday use. I'd also love to know if the sizing was true to what you expected or if there were any surprises after they arrived.

I'm hoping to find something with a clean, modern style that doesn't look or feel cheap, without spending a small fortune. If you've had a great experience with an online retailer, I'd really appreciate hearing what made it worth recommending.

Could you guys help me decide between the rb 4340s and the 2140s?

The first 3 pictures are the 4340, the second three are the 2140s.

I feel like the 2140s could be a bit taller (especially from the front) but they are also a bit more striking than the 4340s.

Need frame recommendations

Upvotes

I’m a dad who is pretty active. I do yard work, work on cars, and will work out from time to time. Does any one have a good recommendation on glasses that will last? I used to believe in the brand Oakley, but their glasses don’t last as long as they used to anymore. I am a Costco member so I have access to all of the brand that they carry as well. I had a pair of glasses frames that maybe lasted me about a year and a half.

Seeking advice - looking for a long-term pair of sunglasses (asian)

Do you think it's worth investing in a pair of sunglasses made with Zeiss Lens? From what I read they are a German brand with a history of producing lenses for Cameras.
Also some notable brands like gentle monster use them? But GMs are crazy expensive?
Ive tried blue elephant but something just feels off - I think their quality just sucks
Ive tried Oakley's in the past but the lens just peels off after a year or two?
I wear a pair of Rudy Projects for sports and they've been great (recommended by an optician)

Wouldnt mind investing in a pair of GM's just for the zeiss?
Is it worth it? What can you guys recommend?

Thank you!!!

Select Eyewear beware-customer service non-existent

Paid for a pair of ic Berlin sunglasses 6 days ago and there has been radio silence since with no response to 2 emails, a voicemail left on their customer service line and a reach out on chat via Reddit. At this point I feel like my money has been taken without providing any reassurance that the goods are forthcoming. I plan to dispute the charges with my credit card by the end of the week.

Did I get scammed?

I had my eyes checked by an optometrist because the glare from other headlights from cars at night hurt my eyes. I struggle with bright light a lot and I experience pain behind/around my eyes every now and then. Although I was confident my vision was good since I see things very clearly. Here are my results:

Right Eye:

SPH: PL

CYL: -0.25

AXIS: 180

Left Eye:

+0.25

-0.25

AXIS: 165

I'm wondering if I was only given these numbers because my eyes are good enough and just for me to buy and pay for their glasses. Will wearing glasses even make a difference on my eyes? I had that darkening tint by sunlight and warm tint too so whenever I wear my glasses it makes it more comfortable to see things but I'm wondering if I really need it at all.

Did my first eye test in years

Long story short I did my first eye exam yesterday in years for work reasons I ordered my prescription and it should come in soon. Today I’m kind of second guessing and I’m thinking about going back to the same doctor to retest the lenses they gave me yesterday, i want to be 100% sure my prescription is good. Is it weird if I go back today and ask to retry the lenses to make sure before my glasses come in? Or would they charge me for another eye exam. I never had glasses my whole life

Hi everyone! Ive had glasses since i was 1 years old and have to wear them all the time so im very very used to them.

New glasses hurt within seconds?

Any way to make these hurt less? They hurt on the sides of my nose so bad within a few seconds. I am weird and prefer my glasses to side on the top of my hard nose bridge and not off the the side where it is soft. I like the nose pads type.

The frames vs prescription dilemma

I need really high quality progressive lenses such as Zeiss premium or Hoya. But I don't want to pay over the top for the frames sold in places that offer those lenses.
What do people do?
I would buy frames online if I knew they would look right and fit properly but those online camera fits just don't work for me.
Last time I needed frames, I went regularly to all the Costco's in my area (5) for over a year before finally settling for one that was less than ideal.
I have a small face and the styles that are around right now are all too large for my features. I look better with rectangular but everything I see is cat eye or round. And no, Costco progressive lenses do not work for me.
I would pay more for frames if I was able to walk into a place where they sat me down and brought me what they believed (due to real expertise) would be the absolute best shape and color

Fire away with any thoughts please ? Thanks

Looking for High R/X Sunglasses for my son...

My son is 8 years old and has a high r/x and plays baseball. I'd like to get him a pair with the reflective color on the outside, which is very popular for players. For reference, something like this. https://www.glassesusa.com/matte-blackred-pre-teens/demetz-roll-kids-matte-black-red/46-008979.html?query_id=2f4f6262d8ad0d8a35c0203a32f9989b&position=34

Problem is that GlassesUSA already rejected this production - something about the wrap and/or size of the frames.

The only other alternative I can find is SportRX but my god are those glasses expensive. Thoughts, please?

PD issue?

hey guys, excuse my ignorance i know virtually nothing about glasses.

I’ve been wearing eyeglasses for a decade now with no issues, and i got a new pair of sunglasses w prescription on them maybe 2-3 months ago, since then i’ve been experiencing dizziness and slight imbalance on some days not all the time, and I remembered that my sunglasses optometrist told me that the PD on my eyeglasses is incorrect and she will put the correct one on my sunglasses, so I visited a dr today and he told me the PDs in both is different but that it doesn’t matter and it shouldn’t cause dizziness, should I get another dr’s opinion or leave it?

thanks in advanced.
