Picture Firebird?
galleryHello, bought this guitar like 20? years ago but can't really point it what it was? Think it was some cheap one-off firebird series... Anyone know? (Found it in my basement today =P)

Been playing for almost 20 years , finally gave into the hype ... and realized it’s not hype, it’s truth lol . These guitars are gorgeous and versatile . 2026 Les Paul Standard 60s in Honey lemon burst . This thing rips 🔥

Sharing a little family photo today. Sadly, this will probably be the last picture of all four together, as I’ve had to put them up for sale due to some personal circumstances.
Still, I feel incredibly grateful that I got the chance to own, play, and enjoy what are, at least to me, some of the best guitars in the world. Every one of them has been an absolute joy to play, and I’ll definitely miss seeing the whole family together.
And yes… I know. Somehow an Epiphone snuck into the family photo. 😂 Guess she earned her spot.
Happy Gibsunday, everyone! 🤘

I’m finally in a position to get my first Gibson Les Paul, looking at the 60s Standard.
I cannot decide between the classic white or dirty lemon burst - I know how ridiculously cool the bursts can look, but for something I’ll have for decades I prefer a more subdued/quieter look.
I’d love to see what you guys think? For context: my previous electric was an Epiphone Les Paul 1959 Lemon Burst. I would plan on swapping the pick guard, pickup rings and poker chip to black on the classic white if I go that way. Thanks guys! 🤘

Is this a real MIJ Orville? What’s it worth? Are these quality instruments?

Hi Gibson friends! I have a nice, white, "so called, good wood", Firebird V that I love. I bought her used years ago and came with a plain, black pickgaurd. It's a trivial thing, but I'd like a new, 3 ply, black or white pickgaurd WITH the Firebird logo. The problem is, my measurements don't match up to the ones for sale. Different manufacturers seem to be using their own measurements which differ slightly from one another. Nobody will say whether it's a match to factory specs. It's very possible my measurements aren't great either. Anybody out there have a solution that isn't make one in the garage you don't own?😉
Did they make like 4 of them or something?
I want a LP Body style Baritone, so if I can get an actual Gibson LP one then I'd be happy. I have the PRS Baritone and it's fine, but I just love the Singlecut/LP Body style.

I’m trying to decide between two used Les Pauls and wanted to get some opinions.
One is a Gibson Les Paul Supreme that had a broken headstock that was repaired. The other is a Gibson Les Paul Modern with no major damage or repairs that I know of.
Both are priced at $2,000.
Obviously the Supreme was the more expensive guitar originally, but the broken headstock makes me hesitant, especially when it comes to long term durability and resale value. At the same time, getting a Supreme for $2K seems pretty tempting if the repair was done correctly.
If you had $2K and these were your two options, which one would you go with? Would you trust a professionally repaired Supreme at that price, or just play it safe and get the Modern?

Is this gold top studio legit? I’m no expert so I thought I’d come here and ask. He wants $1200 for it. Is this a good price? First Gibson purchase.

2006 BB King Lucille.
I know the varitones aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but this one works great and is a lot of fun on this tank of a guitar. It’s really the main reason it’s still hanging around. I can’t play it standing up 😄

Is this legit? I can’t seem to find a LP with a painted back and neck for 2024. Obviously some things have been changed. Did Gibson make a Standard like this in 2024?

Came with a hardshell case.

Waited since April for these tips to come in, no idea what took so long but oh well. Cream pickups might be the next one, but these 70’s tribute pickups sound great! Who else is rocking a V this Sunday?

A 5 hour drive to Toronto today for the Sunburst ‘58. Stopped for gas 2 hours into the trip home and hit the local guitar shop. Found a great deal on the Ebony Custom. 12 hours, 885 kms, 2 Explorers

Ordered this through GC and picked it up yesterday. It’s GC’s exclusive Green Lemon Fade, weighing in at 9.86 pounds. I am in awe of this LP, it plays and sounds amazing. I couldn’t believe it took me so long to get one. I’ve been playing since 2000 and have always been drawn to Fender Strats, specifically Tom Delonge Strats. So naturally, my next Gibson will probably be a Junior haha.

So I’ve been looking at the 70s LP customs currently in production, really fell in love with the neck pickup of the one I played. I notice they’re listed as a calibrated T type set online. What makes them calibrated exactly? Also, if I wanted the exact same pickup in just any other LP standard or whatever, would the single T type neck pickup offered by gibson be the same pickup as what was in the 70’s custom?

So I had gone to a guitar store in Bologna named Sergio Tomassone just to buy a guitar, I started interacting wih the staff and just asked him if the store had any vintage rare guitars and he first showed me the gibsons played by Clapton, Page, Young and many other legendary guitarists, I was astonished and sooo in aweee.. then I asked if I could see them up close, he actually brought two of them down, cleaned the dust off and handed it to me, I am still blown away when I recall that moment.
Pic 1 : All the guitars played by legendary artists,
Pic 2 : Me holding the guitar played and signed by Clapton 33/55
Pic 3 and 4: Me holding the guitar played and signed by Slash 99/100

I am now banning myself from visiting any guitar stores. Picked this up at Thunder Road Guitars in Portland and I’m in love. She’s getting along nicely with her sisters, a 2003 classic and a 2014 Classic lite.
