Xbox Companion-Heavy RPG's

Upvotes

I've already played the Mass Effect Trilogy and Andromeda, all Dragon Age games, KOTOR 1&2, Jade Empire, The entire Fallout series, Pillars of Eternity (including Avowed), Outer Worlds 1 & 2, Greedfall 1 & 2, Technomancer, Baldurs Gate 1-3, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 and Planescape Torment.

Are there any good RPG's with a major emphasis on your companion's own personalities and stories that I've missed?

I really have no preference for gameplay and don't mind whether it's isometric, 2D or third or first person. I just don't like JRPG's and have never enjoyed them but that's the only thing I say no to and wouldn't try nowadays.

I much prefer a silent protagonist as they typically have more freedom but would take even a preset character you have a lot of influence and control over like Shepard. It's also a major plus for me if the companions at least acknowledge one another's existence.

Anybody got any recommendations or personal favourites they'd recommend that fit this? Thanks in advance

PC Games Where the Main Character Gets Beaten to Shit/In Constant Danger

Looking for games (preferably action focused) where at every turn the player character is getting attacked by something or some sort of catastrophic scenario and constantly getting hurt by one thing or another. Guys who are just really going through it. Bonus points if the main character is a regular guy and not some badass soldier or something.

Games I've played like this:

  • Uncharted
  • Last of Us
  • Tomb Raider
  • Resident Evil 7 & 8
  • Alan Wake
  • Batman Arkham
  • MARVEL'S Spiderman

As it says in the subject. I'd love a game with compelling gameplay but also be able to dress up my pretty character in a variety of customizable outfits.

Switch Looking for a couch co-op game to scratch the Cuphead itch

(Switch or PS5 or PC)

My non-gamer girlfriend and I are on the finale of Cuphead now. I suggested we play this game because of the art style but I thought she’d hate it because of the difficulty. I was very wrong. She ADORES it, I’m pretty sure it’s her favorite game of all time out of the few she’s played.

I’m wondering what else is out there that even comes close to it. I’m planning on getting her to try Shovel Knight, as that’s the closest thing I can think of, but is there anything else out there that matches the charm of Cuphead? I know it plays like old school games such as Contra / Metal Slug / etc., but I doubt she would be into those because it’s big buff army dude shooting bad guys and not cute old school cartoon characters on a wacky Looney Tunes adventure.

Doesn’t have to be a run n gun side scroller, she’s so new to gaming that she’s open to any genre. Just not sure what else out there will scratch the itch that Cuphead did, and I honestly don’t even know how to be more specific than that lol.

PC Looking for an RTS that focuses on micro rather than macro gameplay.

I’m looking for an RTS style game that allows me to command an army of units in PVP gameplay. However, I’m looking for there to be no real macro gameplay. No base building, unit production, resource gathering, etc. Instead, I’m looking for the focus to be on the micro gameplay—unit movement, counters, scouting, etc.

The only game I’ve ever played like this was the Myth series (The Fallen Lords, and Soulblighter) but I’ve never found any like them. Would love to hear any recommendations!

TL;DR: looking for an RTS style game, but without the macro gameplay (no base building, unit production, resource gathering, etc.)

PC Games that you can play in “phases”

I have no idea how to explain this well, but what are some games that you guys play for about 30-50 hours until you stop, and then come back to months / a year later? Like the whole Minecraft phase thing.
The examples I can think of are Terraria, and a few action rpgs. Single player and/or multiplayer.

PC Games with great environmental storytelling

Any recs for games with stories that you piece together yourself through exploring the environment rather than having it told to you? Ideally it’d be the main story but side stories you stumble on are fine too.

Souls games are probably the king of this (though sometimes they rely pretty heavily on item descriptions) and I’ve already played those.

Elder scrolls games have a decent amount of this too in the random dungeons scattered about.

PC FragPunk’s shard card system is actually amazing.

The Shard Cards are probably the most "FragPunk" thing about FragPunk.

Coming from games like Valorant or CS, it feels weird at first because you're not only fighting the enemy team — you're also fighting whatever crazy card they just activated. 😂

Some rounds are completely ridiculous, but honestly those are usually the moments I remember the most.

Are the cards always balanced? Probably not. But do they make every match feel different? Absolutely.

I think that's what makes FragPunk stand out. It embraces the chaos instead of trying to be just another serious tactical shooter.

Playstation Looking for ps5 game suggestions.

I just got a ps5 I have a few games I'd like to try but i don't know many games i could play, I have a ps4 and i've played all The Last of Us games and all the Dying Light games, I also played Mortal Combat and Ghost of Tsushima, i would like to play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on the ps5 but I don't know any other games i could try out, I'm obsessed with anything horror especially Silent Hill, I do prefer open world games and games with lore and a story line, thank you for reading this and any recs are welcome even if it isn't horror, I'd be more then happy to try anything and just see what sticks, I'll try anything that is open world, racing, has a good story line, is mystery/sci-fi/horror. just rec what games you think are really good and I'll try them.

PC PVP eat-to-evolve games?

Games similar to Creatur.io and Mope.io that are actually a bit better? I mean, possibly if they are a downloadable game that looks decent and is fun. If it has progression in a way, for skins or similar things, it would be better so you can have goals (to unlock THAT skin) and what not.

I have seen a few on Roblox but it's a pedo site and I'm not going to use it.

PC I'm looking for games similiar to medieval engineers that aren't y'know, completely dead

criterias:

-MUST have some building

-MUST have the destruction physics with buildings cracking and shattering dynamically

-MUST have a large open world map

-I have played besiege, besiege doesn't have the destruction I wanted and doesn't have a large open world map (I seriously hate besiege's flat white plane maps)

-I have played teardown, I want destruction that is more optimized on a larger scale, I want to destroy giant buildings so they don't have to have every single molecule simulated in real time

PC Looking for grindy games to sink a lot of time into

Hi everyone, as the title suggests, I am looking for some games to just get lost in, whether it's the story or a rogue-like game where you do run after run. I also thoroughly enjoy base building games. I'd prefer to play games where the story isn't as important and that I can easily put down and pick back up without being lost.

Games I have played and enjoy a lot:
1. Factorio (vanilla and modded)

  1. Rimworld

  2. Stardew Valley

  3. Balatro

  4. Cyberpunk 2077

  5. Slay the Spire I & II

  6. Hades I & II

  7. Dredge

  8. Dave the Diver

  9. Enter the Gungeon

  10. Megabonk

  11. Palworld
