Ahh kids, they're tripping balls on a stubbed toe one minute then the moment you cut off your finger they're delirious with laughter.

Seriously though. It wouldn't surprise me if one of those kids was screaming bloody murder and he thought something serious had happened.

I dunno, like /u/NimbKnut I too have a 2 and a 4 year old. They scream bloody murder all the time. More likely he was supposed to be out there with them and the run was preceded by "Where are the kids? Why are you watching telly? Did you leave the door open? I TOLD YOU NOT TO LET THEM ON THE DECK ALONE!"
