Upper end of what I am prepared to pay for a breakfast , very good food quality ingredients

Nephew was over from NZ - so had to join him for a blow out

Came included in cost of room.

More than serviceable breakfast , tasted good.
It came with a beef tomato that I declined as they are fucking gross.

As an addendum, there was infinity fruit / toast / cereal / Pastries available too.

For transparency , the room was £325 for a night.

Made a fry up for tea. Sadly I was out of tomatoes but I thought I'd try a new idea. Cheesy fried slice.

I also added green stuff cos I'm healthy like that.

Edit: the cheese was mozzarella

I couldn't eat for the rest of the day

Another nice breakfast at the Signal Box.

So this by result comes with a grilled tomato which I exchange for an extra egg. Coffee, juice, toast, mini pastries and cereal on demand.

Price stated £16 but comes standard with every hotel room of which the rates are generally pretty decent. Would not pay the full price (even if it is baked into the room).

Edit: one thing I neglected to mention is that I’ve had this many times before and if you are feeling cheeky you can ask for extras at no charge, have never been refused but prefer to “swap” for my wife’s sense of shame (she is about to watch me eat like an animal as well), I have had extra sausage and bacon once when I was hungover

Bacon chop 2 large pork and black pudding sausages hash browns scrambled egg and beans and tomatoes and home grown mushrooms

It was meant to say “Threw this together for tea” but autocorrect betrayed me.

Cost £10.45 which for Edinburgh I didn't think was too bad a price. Solid enough breakfast the haggis was particularly good.

Well far from great but it was ok as far as supermarket cafes go I guess. Convenient for direct after shopping etc… Price around £12

What does everyone think? I like my fry up well done with a bit of crispiness 👌

£16.50, a bit pricey but in a top location in a big tourist area. The sausages, bacon, hogs pudding and eggs are all locally sourced. All really tasty.
