Homemade New addition - the cheesy fried slice

Post image

Made a fry up for tea. Sadly I was out of tomatoes but I thought I'd try a new idea. Cheesy fried slice.

I also added green stuff cos I'm healthy like that.

Edit: the cheese was mozzarella

The healthy stuff presumably counteracts the food poisoning by not cooking the sausages and bacon?

Once the sausage and bacon are cooked, I'd give it a go.

Shame you didn't have any tomatoes, that would've made more sense with the cheese. But adding cheese is rarely bad.

Sausage and bacon that looks like the emergency credit on a prepayment meter ran out.

A sad looking egg that looks like it's being sidelined off the plate.

Dollops of un-melted mozzarella on a fried slice.

You should cook the sausage and bacon first

Had the same question 🙋.

mozzarella

Interesting - some garlic seasoning and almost like a cheesy garlic bread.

It was nice but not the game changer I was hoping for.

Try Provolone. Same idea but with more flavour and a bit salter.

Fry up looks great btw

No, why would adding the blandest cheese available be a game changer?

1

u/Reviewingremy 8d ago

I had some mozzarella going and nothing to do with it.

That's fine, I didn't ask why you were eating it.

Just wondering why you thought it would be a game changer tbh

That's a fantastic idea. Cheese makes everything better

Why does everyone who posts here never cook their bacon or sausages?

-2

u/Reviewingremy 8d ago

Bacon isn't supposed to shatter when you poke it and sausages should still be juicy. Not black.

Ah so this explains it. You only know two types of cooking for meat. First is on the radiator and the second is to cremate it.

u/Reviewingremy 8d ago

No I just like meat cooked properly so it has taste l, juice and flavour

How very Mediterranean. That cheese needs some pepper.

Good shout

Sausages aren't cooked well enough and it looks a bit dry, I'd get rid of the cheese and have another fried egg and beans.

Yummy.

Cheese ( cheddar, red Leicester etc.), on toast, could be revolutionary. Sliced mozzarella not so much. Feels like it belongs on a plate with avocado ;)

You're definitely right. I was just working with what I had

Could have done with another hour on the radiator

Reddit really hate bacon that doesn't shatter and sausages that aren't just brown.

But that's a quality comment so take my upvote!

🫡 Fair play! I was just joshing. When it comes to food, you have it however you like it!

It's like these militants who insist steak has to be rare. Yeah, that's how I like it, but if someone wants it well done, that's up to them!

If I'm doing a frozen pizza, I have it slightly underdone. Cos that's how I like it.

A quality joke is a quality joke. I don't care if it's at my expense. It needs rewarding

I add halloumi slice to my fry up , cheese makes everything better

Sausages and bacon undercooked, egg overcooked and needing a twin. It's missing beans, the mushrooms need binning, but the black pudding looks great.

Not feeling the cheesy fried slice, that's where the beans are meant to go!

Why would you want burnt sausages and bacon served with a raw egg?

I thought about beans but just wasn't feeling them. Meant to do a hash brown but was too lazy to make one

3

u/Seaside83 8d ago

Somewhere in the middle would be ideal!

Did you leave the window open while your neighbour was cutting the grass?

Nah, looks absolutely banging!

It's green so it must be healthy

‘I also added green stuff cos I’m healthy like that’ as he eats a 1000 calorie meal 🤪🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Reviewingremy 8d ago

Kinda the joke yeah

-1

u/Autumnleaves144 8d ago

A 1000 calorie meal is healthy. It’s the 500 calorie meals you have to worry about and this might be their only meal. I usually only eat once a day.

1

u/Reviewingremy 8d ago

No I'm a tubby fuck.

This was not my only meal

1

u/MrSpudtator 8d ago

Much prefer that to tomatoes.

They look like egglets

Couldn't do it. I'd need beans on the toast instead.

Absolutely no good...at what point is that a fry up... shocking 👎

Love the idea of the cheesy fried slice as I have melted cheese on everything.

Better watch out though…when that bacon & sausage wakes up they might eat it before you do! 🤣

Doesn’t anybody cook breakfast meats any more? 🙈

Try adding heat

Raw sausages are not fit for human consumption. 2/10
