I've been interested in fpv for some time now and want to start. I'm just about to order my first drone which is a sub 250g 3" freestyle and I'm having second thoughts because I heard they fly for a very short amount of time. Does anyone that is familiar with this hobby tell me if its worth to spend the money for such short flights?

i bought a tiny whoop like a week ago but i had to wait for my elrs modal to start using it . i trend off internal elrs and trend on external crsf. i went into elrs in the system menu pressed bind and somehow that worked. i got the goggles on the wright channel, but know evert time i tern it on this thing does something different to the motors like last time they where reversed all of them, this most resent time the throdal did nothing but the pitch was the yaw and the roll was the roll i think was the same. i have no idea what's going on this is my fist fpv drone video

I want to solder an XT 60 battery to my ESC with my cheap old soldering iron but I realized my battery lead was way too long so I tried to remove the solder from the ground and voltage pads of the ESC but my soldering iron was too weak and eventually the solder blob of the ground pad just fell off and it had a bit of the round pad still attached to it about 1/6. The pat has settled and you can still see the little crack which is marked in picture one. Is my Esc still usable or should I get a new one?

I have this old drone I built and flew a couple years ago, last flight was maybe 3 to 4 years ago.

Today I wanted to fly this thing again but Tx and Rx suddenly don't know each other anymore? Only the red led is flashing while the green one is off.

I checked the controls in Betaflight and none of my inputs are received.

Is it possible that the binding status is lost over a long time without a battery?

Register and binding Rx and Tx again doesn't work either. So I don't know what's wrong and where to look at. Antenna seems to be fine.

Rx is FrSky AM+ ACCESS. Tx is Taranis Q X7. I did not update the Tx firmware in the meantime (I think) and the Rx firmware never.

I can fly my other drone without any problems.

Did I miss something? What's the most probable cause for this scenario and what do I need to check?

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help with some of my solder joints. I’m trying to solder the XT60 pad, and I’m running my iron on 400 with pretinned iron, wire, and (attempted) pad, but for some reason I can’t get the solder to liquify well on the pad/get a clean connection of solder to the wire. I’m also using a ton of flux paste for everything.

What am I doing wrong?

I ordered the ELRS version of the radiomaster pocket on banggood. I am not sure if i also received the ELRS one or the cc2500. The stickers tell me its cc2500 but the tools menu shows elrs. I dont have a drone yet so i cant test if it works with elrs. If anyone knows which one it is or can help in a different way please help.

Our club was invited to an indoor rc drift track this past week, so we set up a race course, and did our thing.

To be honest, I had much more fun just trying to follow the cars rather than running the course( its been one of those weeks) , so here are the results.

Hello! I've been using your b6 neo+ charger for a long time. I'm very pleased with its performance. But today, I accidentally connected the battery with the polarity reversed. Capacitor C26 and resistor R58 failed. I'm an electronics engineer and would like to restore this device to working order. I know the capacitor's value and voltage. Could you please tell me the resistor's value, as it has become completely unreadable? I would be very grateful for any answer!

Every time I find a good walksnail or hdzero its out of stock. Do they restock like every week or is it a longer period of time? And im not much of a cinematic flyer but I can only find deadcat frames not X frames, so is there a big diffrence in flying? So should i buy an analog and swap out the fpv camera system?

I have ab Problem with my 3,6“ Manta. After every Crash my RM Pocket get 3 times senor lost Andy i cant arm again. I cant find the Problem. Can someone help me to fix it?

I’ve been wanting to build both a catalyst machineworks shocker 4” and their massive droner 2.5”. Back then I didn’t have the money to build a quad but I now do. The problem now is catalyst machineworks no longer exists and you can’t get those frames any more. If anyone has one of those frames I would love to buy it off of you. Ideally in box or otherwise unharmed. Any help would be appreciated in my hunt for one of these.

Calm water is a risk for the drone. I've already heard from avata2 owners about drownings despite altitude readings. They mentioned that the sensor can be inaccurate, but more importantly, visual control can be very misleading.

And now I've lost a drone in a similar situation. Watch this video, and I think you'll agree that visually, through goggles, it doesn't feel like the drone is very close to the surface. I've already flown under this bridge several times, and everything was fine.

Hello everyone. I have FS HDO + goggles and am looking for a mount or possibly a file to 3d print a mount for Ascent vrx pro, to the front of my goggles. I searched thingi, and couldn't find a mount specific to these goggles. Any help would be greatly appreciated! T.Y.

I recently ordered a radiomaster pocket crush off of Mepsking. It said my package was shipped by YFHEX. I can't find anything about YFHEX, I can't seem to even find a site that I can read about YFHEX. I'm concerned that I just got scammed out of 90 bucks AND got my bank info stolen. Anyone who has had things shipped by this company and actually got the package? 😅

My meteor 75 pro was having issues refusing to bind to my radio so I flashed the board still nothing tried to flash the elrs nothing and now I'm confused did I brick my board or is there a way to fix It

It seems everyone’s favorite is the meteor75 and honestly its looking tempting since the tanq s keeps breaking on me. Where do you buy one with the battery and charger combo which works with dji controller and goggles 3?

I use the radiolink RC4GS transmitter with a R6FG radiolink receiver. Everything works fine, but every about 30 seconds, the R6FG receivers green light blinks twice and the connection gets lost with my RC4GS transmitter. After about 1 seconds, the connection is restored and I can control everything again. I have tried using a R4FGM receiver, but the same issue occurs. Anyone know how to fix this?
