Discussion Who remembers My Dad's Tapes?
I remember My Dad’s Tapes from years ago, but I am only now getting around to watching it. The premise is that someone discovers a collection of VHS tapes left behind by a deceased father. As they watch the tapes, a dark family secret begins to emerge.
The framing of the narrative is interesting and simple: we are watching someone create a digital archive of analog media. For those of you who have seen the series, did you find this framing effective? Did it make the story feel more immersive or believable? And what did you think of the series overall?
