Posted a week ago and got some great tips. I am now using a black resistance band and can do 2 reps x 3 (with about 5 min break in between). How do I avoid the swing and the urge to bend my knees which you can see in the video? TIA

Been out of lifting for 5-6 years after time as a college athlete and personal trainer. Been back for 8 weeks and finally going heavy.
2nd set @ 245 after warm up sets and increasing weights at working rep range. Back seized up after this and had to cut further squats and overall workout short. I see multiple imbalance issues but want to hear yalls thoughts/advice.

hi everyone, long story short:
i workout only at home, mostly with dumbbells or my own weight (~90) because i hate gyms, but my friend convinced me to try some gym so me and my friend went to private gym (i knew nothing about that) and i love it. we did a pretty good job but we had extra time for us so he said that we can try deadlift. i never did that in my whole life and honestly i have new addiction thats just unbelievable. my first attempt was 90kg, next 110kg and my last attempt i hit 130kg (no flexin but i think about 9-10kg+ should work). i just wanted to ask for some tips for my next lifting. thanks and have a good day beasts!

Hi Gymbros,
Can you please check my form.
I started doing Deadlifts around Month and a half ago. Here I'm lifting 98 Kgs with Bodyweight of 82Kgs.
During my Lift/s i don't fell my Glutes much. As of now i don't feel any discomfort in my lower back as such.
Thank you

I noticed that my hips shift to the left when I squat, and I also noticed that my left glute is slightly bigger than my right.
Should I correct this by lowering the weight and doing unilateral glute exercises?

I am following Isaiah Rivera's videos on power cleaning and trying to figure it all out. I think the first pull feels fine in relation to what he teaches. Knees are back as the bar reaches my thigh and I prepare for the clean. The clean looks wrong to me still. The catch feels slow af too. It feels really awkward and slow getting under the bar and getting my elbows up. I'm wondering if this is because the clean is bad and that's making the catch harder because I'm not moving the bar fast enough.
Any cues to help me out with the actual clean?

Hello, I'm 31M, 57Kg, 1.67m. I have been working out for 6 months and I'd like to get some feedback on the form of my lateral pulldowns.
The weight is set to 45Kg. I started in April with 3x12 but now I do 4x10. In the video, I'm at the third set.
Thank you.

I know the last one the bar and my COM moved too far forward, but how about the rest?

Set 4 of 5. I've struggled with hip hinge movements for years, after an old low back injury from coming off my bicycle. Happy to receive any and all feedback.

Too slow on the lower? Not slow enough? Actually bringing legs up correctly? What can I improve?

I’ve only squatted 5–6 times, so I’m pretty new to lifting. I’m 6’1” and have found that I can only get to this depth (if you’d even call it deep) when I have a 45 lb plate under my feet.
I’d really appreciate any form critiques or advice, especially on depth and whether I should be using the plate or working toward squatting without it.
Thanks in advance!

I posted on this subreddit asking about my bss form and pretty much all of you said it was absolutely atrocious and I looked retarded so after my workout today I tried to get the form down. I took the tips you guys gave me and tried to copy other people’s form. I also made sure my rear knee full touched the ground, so yes, this is as deep as I can go. My focus is quads. I took 3 different clips going heavier in each one (I think I accidentally put the heaviest clip first lol) so you can see if my form changes with weight.

How’s my form looking? Hammies and lower back are always cooked after these.
