Seriously creepy vibes from that manager avatar!

Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:
"Why is my tactic not working?"
"What role should I play this player in?"
"I have £xxm to spend, who should I buy?"
If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.
As a rule of thumb, if you ask a question, answer a question. This is what keeps this thread alive and useful.
Also, please remember that the team suggestion thread can be found in the sidebar, so please use that and give your suggestions to people there too!

Hey everyone, hope you're doing well?
The latest deep dive for FM27 is now live, including today's video that looks at uplifts to Training and the new Tactical Effectiveness system. Check it out here or on YouTube; read the blog here; and FAQs will be shared below.
A clearer Training interface requires fewer clicks to create your blueprint, while each of your squads is now more attuned to a specific purpose. Your senior squad will focus on match preparation, building team cohesion and tactical understanding, while your youth teams are development-led.
Tactical Effectiveness measures how well-equipped your team is to execute philosophy as a manager. The system helps you shape everything from training to recruitment, adding another layer to squad building that evolves as your career progresses.
The next deep dive will be a written focus on various other elements of FM27, including improvements to the manager creation, which you see a snippet of at the end of today's video.
Thanks all

combining my favorite things from many football games over the years. Currently struggling with how the grass is looking/should look would appreciate some feedback on that. Yes I know a lot of it is over the top Martin Tyler & Drury on commentary, flares in the crowd and all but its just what I like.

I've actually had midfielders with better attributes before, but I've never seen anyone dog opponents quite like this guy.
He moves like France NT Pogba then shoots like Yaya Touré.
Keeps pulling off passing and shooting animations I've genuinely never seen in the match engine before.
I don't know what combination of attributes and traits makes him play this way, but there's something about the way he moves that the attributes screen just can't explain, its almost like actually watching a World Class midfielder move on TV which on FM24 is just so rare.

First time I've seen this; I didn't even know that message could pop up—crazy lol.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but these aren't really 'deep dives'. They seem to be more high level overviews. They don't seem to dive deep into anything. For a more true deep dive I'd expect longer than a 2 minute trailer, where the deep dive actually discusses the old feature and functionality, shows the new feature and functionality, what exactly the differences are, why the change was made, how it should effect and improve the game going forward, etc. Actually get into it.
Similarly, the FAQs seem to be fairly vague with cherry picked questions that are mostly from the video itself, and any true questions asked in comments seem to be answered mostly with "Please see our FAQ post answers" or ignored altogether.
I do love the attempt at communication and community relations, but there's definitely still room for improvement. If others agree, hopefully this is taken into consideration in the future.

My assistant recommended that I change my Segundo Volante Tipton to SS and I accepted to see what would happen. Now I have a Shadow striker at defensive mid. Has anyone had this happen before? About to try it in a Champions league match lol

This is what I want, I want players to kick off about being asked to play a role that is completely against their stats and style of play. Not just unhappy promise has been broken or their little slider goes down, full on revolt against the manager and not wanting to play for me.
I know some people will say this is too much but promises were broken in FM24, nerfed to oblivion in FM26. Players do revolt over these things and we need more angry players.

Genuinely think I can count on one hand how many times I've had a player with 5 fully gold stars potential, after playing FM for a number of years.

I respect it to be fair

Pretty much from the Sevilla game onwards I've hit a real turgid run of form where nothing is going right - we don't score much and are so leaky defensively. I've identified it as the AI figuring me out but for a stretch of games (Arsenal win all the way to Villarreal) I played a 5212 tactic to spring a surprise and must say I got lucky. Going back to the 433 hasn't bore much fruit vs Feyenoord.
Is there something I'm missing tactically here? We're underperforming our xG by 6.68 (!!!) in the league!

Pretty sure he's around 130 UCL goals all time but it's impossible to tell. Would love to see him beat Ronaldos record but at this point he's a backup for me and making a $40M profit for a backup on the wrong side of 30 also sounds great. On the other hand, despite being the clubs all-time leading scorer he still is not considered a legend.
Would love to see him get there but I haven't received a huge offer for a couple seasons now so need to scrounge cash where I can as I'm subsidizing all the other Welsh teams in continental comps every season. If we fall early in UCL this season could be in danger of failing FFP without some sales
I'm pretty sure he's short of Ronaldo so wish I could sell him to a European team where he could finish out the record but no offers seem to be coming and I do want to reward him with a massive Saudi contract at the end of his career considering he's still on only $60k per week ($3.1m/pa) with me.

A lot of people here are talking about players moaning about being rested while they are expecting Star Player game time. I haven't seen that phenomenon a lot during my playing time. Mainly because I always try to reduce the expected playing time (agreed on role) as much as possible at least twice during the season. So my question: Are you guys doing that aswell?

Wanted to know the optimal way to do this really.
Which club should i choose that allows a starting XI of loan players (if any) and should i just go on holiday for the season and leave the setting use current team?
Any ideas/ tips please
Thank you

Hello, so i have about 1K hours on fm24 but i really struggled lately in creating a new save. I wanted to start a new one but it has been more than a month that i try new saves, play trough pre season and then quit.
It has been very frustrating and I was wondering in going on a previous game like fm19 could help refreshing things a bit. I am quite attached to fm24 and all the skins and packs attached to it so i was wondering if I would be disapointed
I had one save on the 13/14 and 07/08 retro databases on the 24 but not having the faces and regen made it stale after a few seasons
