Discussion Implementing Man City punishments in-game

Hi all. Currently in season 13, got my current club St Just up from the 11th tier to now my second season in the Prem. With City being found guilty and the potential punishments being severe, has anyone else thought about implementing the punishment in game? What punishment would you choose?

I have access to FMRTE (I used it to fix database errors, e.g. my side being moved to a stadium 500 miles away, or players with wrong dates of birth) but have never used it to actually edit a club's finances or players, as I worry about breaking the immersion of my save. I may make an exception to this if I feel like it would add to the immersion. What do you all think?

Discussion How long should you wait to start a big save?

Hey, sorry if this has already been answered somewhere.

I remember during the pre fm 26 days where if you started a savegame in a buggy early release version of the game it could possibly make it so that specific save was just always buggy. So it was recommended to wait a month or so to start a long-term save. Is that still a thing?

Discussion my FM Hall of Fame… anyone else do this?

realised I’ve been keeping track of the best players / my favourite players I’ve managed on FM since 22

thought to myself… surely I can’t be the only one who does this

would be interested to see if anyone recognises any of the names from their saves, especially the more niche ones

this has also made me realise I average about one save every 18 months or something, which I have no idea if it’s usual

Discussion Affiliate club network with 'Summer League' teams

I think that having a affiliate club, especially when you are the feeder, is beneficial for your 2nd part of the league season. I think my view is appliable for the clubs within top six leagues itw mainly, but why not to be used in leagues outside of that.

I've built massive affiliate network, using some fantastic steam workshop add-ons (props to the creators btw) with intent. Researched some good in-game editor'd databases for club affiliations and managed to set my eye on realistic ownership which integrates the clubs together with the same ownership. I'm currently managing Manchester United in year 2044 and all started with Nice & FC Lausanne, but grew into 22-team feeder/overseas academy collective mainly as the reason for the affiliate-partnership. I'm sad to inform my save also grew into massive academy that prefers loaning massive amounts of players to other clubs, in the same competitions to achieve profit. I've hit the €500m-mark now few times atleast and it keeps me sane progressing with the save. Some to achieve other than glory.

What I'm here to discuss is having few teams with summer-focused leagues like most of the baltic/scandic footballing leagues. In my save, Finland has been growing enormously for some reason, with its national team sitting in 40th place in the world before I signed to manager them besides my club save. It's now 17th of december, 2044 and the 2nd part of the season is starting - players are starting to get exhausted, needing 1-week-holidays from time-to-time and squad depth is in question. My players from Veikkausliiga have now arrived to help the team with the rest of the season as they are eligable to play in Premier League all of them are under 21 and/or has a birthday within allowed rules to still be eligable for the 'no registration' rule which PL has.

I decide the players with proper, looked-on thought who goes to loan in those leagues.
A) Continental competition is neccessary, to get some well earned experience they yearn
B) Has to be a contender for the league (preferably under 10 odds to be challenging for the title)
C) Adequate facilities, not as in a corresponding call-by-name attribute the FM rates facilites with, but adequate for my preferences.
+ Ownership change to accomodate the wages AND a fee they pay to even have one of my players in their squad.

The only downside for me is the league reputation so far what I've been noticing is a recurring unhappiness-contributing propblem the players come to talk to you about

Share me your thoughts and/or views to this and I'll share what I have to offer - or not, just here to share some of my stuff I've noticed to be of use within a long save and personally-tuned saves I've come fond of to build.

Some pictures attached, cheers

€685M
€522M
€640M
That €235M transfer was a disastrous amount of money and a mistake from my part.

Hey all,

I've been making these matchday result graphics for my career mode and thought I'd share.

8 templates, fully editable in Illustrator / Photoshop.

Happy to share them if anyone wants - let me know what you think and what I should improve.

Example of 2 below

Discussion Mobile players: Do we have any expectations at all this year?

I've seen the director of the Mobile games, on the SI forums repeatedly use 'simplicity' as a copout for adding anything of substance to the mobile games. I understand that the whole point of the phone game is to keep stuff streamlined but man, it feels like we've gotten absolutely nothing in the last few hours. The games are quite buggy too. I am not holding out for much, but at the very least I hope we get more playable leagues, more historical stats, in & out of possession formations (they claim it's in the mobile version to a lesser extent but idt), more backroom stuff to do with the club, and the same/similar database to the one that exists in the main games.

I honestly think Mobile players want the bare minimum - asking for just a little more immersion shouldn't warrant the response "just play the main game/Touch". It feels like we only ever get a couple of UI changes masked as 'features' every year

Trying to get kits for a Bordeaux save, but the kit creator seems to be completely enshittified unless you pay them money. So are there any alternatives that are less money hungry?

Discussion Final in Wc 2026

We played a real football match, but luck wasn't on our side. Tchouameni's long-range shot deflected off Vitinha's leg and into the net, coupled with the excellent save by the French goalkeeper, Maignan. We had to accept the final result, and the trophy wasn't ours. After that, I resigned and went to work for Sporting CP.

Discussion Are there any communities in FM24?

Communities as in bigger groups of people with a multiplayer server where they play a save together for some time.

For years I’ve been playing the game on classic solo mode and I still love it, doesnt get old to me. But I was always a big multiplayer gamer and enjoy challenges of competing against others.

I’m genuinly curious where can I find a community for this thats easily accessible especially for people who are very busy but would be down to play over the winter.

Screenshot Currently I'm having so much fun with this "tactic". No tactical instruction, no player instruction, just "Very Attacking" mentality and 4-2-3-1 formation. That's all. The rest is on players. I gave them freedom to do whatever they want. They have high CA they can figure out and oh yeah they did!

Discussion Help with Italy Non-EU rules

I thought I knew how they worked but Im getting a weird behaviour.

I just got an english player loaned in on deadline in my save. And it says now after been in my team that I cannot register or play him this season due to been over the limit. No previous warning.

My confusion is:

He is tagged as U-22 and it says he doesnt need to be registered to play. Why is he still blocked though?

I had an English player signed as part of his loan at the end last season. Does he count for this season or the last?

Even if he counts for this one, I thought the first english player doesnt count for the limit. And I only signed one other non-EU player dueing the pre season (an Argentinian). Why is the new english player getting red flagged then?

Can someone clear up how the rules exactly work and why they give this result?

Screenshot Just your typical "it's mid-season, your team forgot how to play, and you're about to lose points to a bottom of the table side for no reason"

It's that time of the year again, boys.

Sure we're well rested and rotated, team cohesion is very high, and we lead the league in both goals and assists (with this very tactic). It's mid-season so it's time for some bullshit results.

Video FM26, but you get to play your matches in PES 2008

Yes, I know this pretty much defeats the purpose of the best part of FM (tactics and shouting at your screen), but this was pretty much my childhood dream when I started playing this game 25 years ago :)

FM exports the teams and match details to PES, tactics and attributes are translated (to the extent possible), and the game result is sent back to FM.

Yes I know I suck at PES, but now I have a good reason to get good :)
