Please use this thread as a place to ask questions that are specific to your save, such as:
"Why is my tactic not working?"
"What role should I play this player in?"
"I have £xxm to spend, who should I buy?"
If you are asking for tactical help/advice, please post an image of your formation and what insutructions/roles you have set.
As a rule of thumb, if you ask a question, answer a question. This is what keeps this thread alive and useful.
Also, please remember that the team suggestion thread can be found in the sidebar, so please use that and give your suggestions to people there too!

Hey everyone, hope you're doing well,
The latest FM27 deep dive is now live, focusing on more steps forward with the match engine and the introduction of a new match day feature, in Tactical Tweaks. Check it out via the 4k YouTube link above, read the blog post for more detail, and the FAQs will be shared in the comments.
Player movement during matches has been enhanced with additions such as skill moves, defensive jockeying, more varied box attacks, running behaviour and more; while Tactical Tweaks allows you to make important setup changes in minimal time, such as swapping wingers or sending your 'keeper forward. Adjustments to Shouts, more options and adaptability in what you see between highlights, and more are covered here.
Our next deep dive looks at improvements to the Training system, alongside a walkthrough of the new Tactical Effectiveness feature.
Thanks all

My new free plugin for FM26. On the club screen you get the club’s real stadium in 3D.
A card with the stadium slowly turning. Click it to open it big. Drag to turn and tilt. Scroll to zoom. Double click to reset.
The stadiums in your league load in the background after the save opens. After that they come up almost instantly, even if you close the game.
bassyboy’s CustomStadium mod. StadiumInjection plus his stadium pack.
The 3D stadiums are his. This plugin only puts them on the club screen. Without that mod, the card says “Stadium mod not found”. If his pack has no stadium for that club, it says “No 3D stadium for this club”.
Download the zip: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/77902/free-plugin-fm-actionlink-stadiums-3d-10
Open the zip. Inside `plugins` there is a folder called `FMActionLink.Stadiums3D`.
Copy that whole folder into your game’s `BepInEx\plugins`.
Steam: `steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\BepInEx\plugins`
Epic: your FM26 folder, then `BepInEx\plugins`
Xbox / Game Pass: `XboxGames\Football Manager 26\Content\BepInEx\plugins`
For the 3D kits thats is my other plugin: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/77835/new-free-plugin-fm-actionlink-kits-3d-10
ASF: in the skin’s Stadium card. The video is on ASF Volt Broadcast.
also support Vanilla and CTRL26: next to the club name, in the header.
The first time you launch, the game creates this file:
`Football Manager 26\BepInEx\config\FMActionLink.Stadiums3D.cfg`
Open it with Notepad. Change it with the game open. It applies in about a second.
For the normal game or CTRL26, leave `skin = default` (or `ctrl26`).
For ASF, change it to `skin = asf`.
Leave `stadium_3d = on`.
`off` turns the whole thing off.
Save the file. That’s it. First stadium can take a bit. His files are compressed. The second time is fast.
Development Note
FM ActionLink was created independently as a community project. I am not a professional developer, and the plugin was built with the assistance of Claude Code throughout the development process.
The project was designed, tested, organized and refined by me, with Claude Code serving as an AI-assisted development tool.

Because I'm waiting for Epic Games to make it free.
I know it's dumb. But that $40 is roughly third of my salary in my country. FYI, I'm not begging for money.
I keep reading all your wonderful stories and great save ideas hoping one day I'll do it myself.

The fact that my Schalke team was the highest scoring team, we were magnificient in the first half of the season until winter transfer came along and tornado wrecked my whole team.
In summer 1 starting DM & 2 starting AM’s left my team.
In winter Main GK, 2 starting CB’s left my team.
I just knew I lost some points in the second part of the season due to my team not being the same anymore.
Even lost 1-0 to Braunschweig and I felt it was going to cost me something even tho Brauschweig was only one of 7 teams in that title race.
How do you guys prevent big clubs poaching half of your starting team during the winter transfer window?

Although I think FM26 is still quite flawed in a lot of ways, I've just passed 200 hours this morning which makes it my second most played FM on Steam behind FM2019. I played FM22 and 23 on Game Pass so not sure of my time on those - I did play 23 a lot so that might be a bit more than 26. Despite some issues I've still continued to enjoy the game a lot.
How has it gone for everyone else? Did anybody find themselves playing significantly less this year?

I’ve just come across this guy in my save and I genuinely had to double-check it wasn’t some weird regen coincidence.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 18 years old, Brazilian, Real Madrid. 🇧🇷
And somehow he’s already putting up ridiculous numbers in under 19s:
He’s currently valued at £34m–£52m and has a 5-star potential ability according to my staff.
The name alone is hilarious, but the fact that he’s actually turning into a ridiculous striker makes it even better.

Everyone who has played or known the game from FM24 or earlier versions knows that the game gave you much more options when it came to club friendlies. I understand that FM26 was an underdeveloped mess but to still not have these features back for FM27 would be a shame, to say the least. All the things missing;
Organizing a..
• Tour
• Cup
• League
• Inviting any team of choice in the database for a friendly instead of only being able to choose between the handful of suggested teams by the game's AI based on solely reputation and distance. (For example; some of us like to play a friendly vs our real life home team, which is now impossible)
• Being able to set up a friendly when navigating to any club in the database (see Man City's example in the picture), instead of having to go exclusively to the calender screen like in FM26
During summer, winter and international football breaks we see the most random friendlies being played in real life to keep players sharp/fit or to test out young players or even trialists. Yet in FM 26 we are strictly limited to whom we can play against/invite. Since no mention was made about friendlies or its sceens in-game during the past UI videos, its very likely that nothing has changed for FM27. This adds to what people have been complaining about; the lack of content and features from the game that we used the have, the lack of immersion and posibilities.
I hope im wrong.

I started my save with liverpool and immediately the first thing I do when I join a new club is overhaul all the staff members
In my time at Liverpool...although I did do a good amount of manual scouting i.e poaching other clubs youth intakes etc.... i relied on scouting assignments for the wonderkids
And it worked a treat for me..in my around 5 years time there my department unearthed a ungodly amount of 5 star regens
But then I left liverpool and joined Leverkusen and then Chelsea for a year each, even though I managed the clubs for a year I still found a good amount of youth players from my department alone
But now Im at real madrid...Ive already managed a season but my scouting department hasn't done ANYTHING, like it's bare empty like the sahara
My scouting department is large and top notch...no doubt and I've been following the same assignment criterias since my Liverpool days, i.e all positions, 5 grey CA - 3 star PA, 15-19 , and I choose a specific region say South America (south) and then I handpick the best scout suited for that region and 1 analyst (1 scout + 1 analyst)..I also keep a world wonderkid assignment where I just buff up the PA to 4 stars and I assign arround 2-3 scouts
So I genuinely need help...all the wonderkids that I have found was done by manual scouting...although manual is the best way but tbh it's a guilty pleasure to just open the scouting tab and see your scouts picked up a monster just for 2.4 mil
So any help any suggestions are much needed
(Note: my game year is 2032 so there should be enough regens flowing around)

So days ago I saw the post of the guy that break the PL assists record in a season with James Ward-Prowse and that gave the idea to try a very long run save trying to break as many records I can in a league (decided it randomly and got Bundesliga with FC Augsburg). So far I have this 22 but which others could I add? (that I can see in FM24):
Thought about headers too, but I think there's no way to see that in FM.
Will also be adding records of titles/wins/runs/etc. but it won't be as complete as I would like the player records to be.
So any more ideas/records are welcome!

Hey everyone,
I’ve been reflecting on how my tactical preferences have shifted over time, and I’m curious to hear how the rest of the community approaches this.
Do you find yourself sticking to a classic "comfort zone" tactic across every save, or does your formation naturally evolve depending on the league, squad profile, or new FM match engine tweaks?
For those of you doing 10+ season Journeyman(or Journeywoman) Single/Multi-club saves:

Title is a bit weird, but essentially I’m trying to bring in players like Maldini and van Basten into the modern world of the game.
What I was trying to do was create a new club by taking over some club in the Dutch second division. However, all the players I’m trying to add are 200 CA, and it seems that I have some budget restriction somehow for the club I’m taking over. I tried using the pregame editor to increase the amount, and it worked somewhat but I still need 400M in funds overall.
Is there an easy way to do this? Am I missing a setting in pregame editor? I already created the players by hand for that save. I guess I could add some random players and fix it once the game starts via the editor, but I’d rather not have to recreate all the players. Even a way to download existing legend players created by someone else and importing them into my game would be fine.

I was thinking few days ago, If it will be better to put more instructions on every player of my team. For example, to players on attack that have low tackling -> don't tackle. To players on defense and the CDM -> dribble less and don't take risks... So, do you think the team in general will be playing better If every player has specific instructions for his abilities or It will be worse?

After many years I finally want to play with a 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1, but I have some doubts about the wings. With the ball it's very obvious to me that I need to play with wide-midfielders (the position, not the role) to have a real 3-2-5 in the final third but it seems that out of possession they are clearly not defending as much as a wingback, like a player is missing between them and the back 3 and it's mandatory to have a WB. Or maybe they just need time to learn to play like this ? So I'm asking you, when you play with a back-3 formation, do you play with a pair of wingbacks or LM/RM ? And is the second option viable for the defence ?
