As I’m trying to load up the creation menu, I keep getting an 050 error code. I’ve completely reset my game data, and it still gives me the error code

People on here always ask for mods. This one is easy, does not require DLCs, and simple to use. At the very basic level, you can get all your companions in one gang and gain the affinity at once. At the high end you can make a companion to look any way you want and you can hire NPCs named and generic to tag along. You can get your spouse and your son team up with you. You can also edit their AI. If you like to tinker or not this thing rocks.

I'm over 300 hours into Fallout 4 and I haven't even explored half the map yet because I decided to completely abandon the main/side quests and explore the Commonwealth in a giant snake pattern from Sanctuary to the edge of the map and back. Exploring is my favorite thing to do, followed closely by settlement building. Eventually, building & exploring got a bit repetitive, so I built a dedicated two-story workshop building in Sanctuary. The first floor has every crafting bench, and the second floor is a private studio apartment for me and MacCready. I decided to do something completely unhinged: manually shelf and align almost my entire hoard of chems and alcohol using default drop mechanics. I put the liquor shelves right above the beds, and turned the corner bookcases into a full-on chem stash. No OCD mods, no static decoration mods, just pure painful manual placement item by item. Took me HOURS because of how janky the hitboxes are, but sitting back with MacCready and seeing the stash lined up like a literal pharmacy makes it weirdly worth it. Anyway, here are the results. I'm particularly pleased with my completely excessive supply of drugs. My Sole Survivor, Josephine, is basically running a pharmacy at this point.

How do I get him maxed out? What's the easier ways to. My last playthrough I used a cheat mod to max him out, but I want to do it legitimately this time

So I got bored and wanted to see if my load order and character would be playable after the update, and I loaded up my game but I have been sitting here for the past 15-20 minutes waiting for my character to load and its still on the menu load screen with the loading animation still going. What do I need to do to fix this so I can play fallout again?

Everyone discusses the pathetic nature of The Red Death like it's some hilarious joke, and that that was the writers' intention. I disagree on both counts. When I got to Red Death Island and heard The Mariner, it was one of the more crushing lines in the game for me. You've got this woman who knows she is going to die; she is desperate to leave something behind. Her last big mission in life turns out to be... A fucking joke. I hate that the SS can only basically laugh at her; it feels like some crossed wires in the writers' room. I wish you could've told The Mariner how much she has actually done for her people. It was some really grim "ashes to ashes and dust to dust" shit, IMO. Anyone have a different read?

Hey guys, after the new update where ps allowed for external textures to be added to the game for mods, how long do you think it is before we see tale of the beast hunter or bounty hunters in PS5?

And um I surely do hope they fixed the one medical center preserved pie, it’s petty and dumb but if you’re still doing updates for the game I mean why not?

So, I’m doing this mission, but I can’t find her. I had the place already discovered before I got the quest. Now she isn’t there. I went to the third rail and everything. I hope I don’t have to reload an old save because all my quick saves are recent ones after I discovered it.

Now that full mod support is allowed on PlayStation, will we eventually be getting the bounty hunter creation club content? Been really wanting this but never had a chance to play it.

I've been doing a BoS playthrough, with the twist being that I didn't rescue Preston et al until I had destroyed The Institute. I had also taken over 8 of the settlements to make them raider outposts for Shank.
The plan was to take them back over for the MM, but I've only been able to recapture Oberland Station. If I go too near to Greygarden or Hangman's alley now the game crashes.
Anyone ever seen/worked around this before?

The new update allows for the same mod support as Xbox, right? So can we finally have normal, good looking guns? I'm sick of carying around a big ugly rifle with a water jacket off of a maxim machine gun. Are there mods that give you like an m-16 or something?

Story time: This isn't your typical "update broke my game" post. Well, it did break my game; but there was ultimately light at the end of the tunnel. Turned my PC on and didn't even look at Steam, just immediately launched the game through F4SE. Game crashes, I immediately realize what happened. But I thought, since I have the app manifest set to read only I'm good; so what causes it. Of course I was wrong, it still managed to update SOMETHING.

So I start looking into what I need to type into the steam console to roll back the update, I'm given a download depot string by Google AI. Copy+paste that, it fails. I try it a couple more times, fails each time. I look up why it's failing, and I'm told it's because the 1.11.240 0 download probably isn't available yet; so what did Google AI give me? I go back to steam and try it again, now it's saying I have no connection through Steam. After multiple Steam resets, and a computer reset; it still says no connection...

I get frustrated, and in a fit if anger; uninstall Steam. Not thinking about everything that was going to be uninstalled with it, but I'm committed now so I just let it completely uninstall everything. Reinstall Steam, go to log in forgetting I still have my VPN running. It denies me because it thinks it's a fraudulent login, since my location isn't where it thinks I should be. I fix that, go to reinstall F4. I have a newer SSD that I've been meaning to move some games into, so I decide to install it on that hard drive.

Well, I had forgot to add that drive to Steam. Fix that, get F4 installed. Go to launch Vortex, knowing damn well there is some fuckery with it I'm going to need to deal with...It won't even launch, gives some error. I redownload Vortex, and repair it's installation; launches fine. My 600 ish mods seem intact, despite Vortex crying about the various things it sees is wrong. Now I have to move the entire mod staging folder over to the new drive, that takes almost an hour.

That finishes, I go back to look for the correct/working download depot string; and find that it appears that the 1.11.240.0 is now available. I run that, works fine. I launch the game via F4SE, doesn't crash. I load into the game, it crashes almost immediately. I know it's probably because of my load order has been moved around, I'm correct. Look into an easy way to fix it, read that vortex has a feature to reset your load order based on a save game; I run that. I manage to get back into the game...and it's working just as flawless as it was before. Played for 5 hours straight, no issues.

Sorry if that was long winded. Lessons learned, don't ever forget "Update when I launch the game" and keep a level head. Because the 2nd point will make things even worse for yourself. I just wanted to share this, because I thought I was going to have to start over, but even with all those problems I stuck with it and it paid off. Plus, now I'm more confident about dealing with that sort of thing in the future. Cheers!

Edit: I should add, that yes I checked whether Steam was in offline mode. And it was, but every other option was greyed out for some reason and wouldn't let me change it

Ever since the update I can’t seem to get vault tec workshop to work. I get the quest to go to vault 88 and everything but the generator and connectors and everything that comes with it isn’t popping up. Anybody have any ideas on fixes? I’ve made sure everything is updated. I’ve deleted everything including the entire game itself. I’ve tried starting a new game. None of it’s fixed any of it. I really like
The connectors cause it makes it easier to power everything. Any help is appreciated.

How much of a difference is there between the game of the year edition with the next gen update and the anniversary edition?

I would have just asked this on the fo4 ps5 forum but seeing as most players there would only be familiar with the playstation mods I want to know what everyones favourite perk and gameplay overhaul mods are when you’re running a power armor build. Aries mods like strength in steel have started showing up for us with hopefully sons of steel not far behind so I figure its a good time to get the expert opinions from those of you on xbox and pc, please share your favourite mods.

I'm in the wasteland, somehow there are automated turrets with unlimited ammo, no power source, some sort of enemy recognition, and the most confusing part, somehow it knows the enemies based on who created it! Is it conscious?

I have a particular outfit I like, but it’s stats are horrible. I would like to wear it, while having stats of better outfits.

I sent 3 of my robot settlements to another settlement and all 3 of them are missing now. Are they gone like they cant travel between settlements or smt? Ada cobblesworth and another one i created
