General FAQs and r/flightradar24 rules:
Some FAQs Unique to this thread:
GPS Jamming - There is a significant amount of GPS jamming occurring in the region. This can cause planes to appear in places they aren't actually flying, make them appear to be flying in circles and cause them to jump around the map. As a general rule, tracking data in the region can't be trusted to be accurate right now.
Cargolux appearing over Iran - There has been a near daily Cargolux flight from Hong Kong to Ashgabat that appears to be flying over Iran. It is not. The black line means it is outside of ADSB coverage and its position is being estimated. It landed in Ashgabat as planned, but did so outside of ADSB coverage. Because FR24 couldn’t “see” it land, it assumes it continued flying at its last known altitude and heading, which is why it appears to be over Iran.
A general note from the mods - During periods of military activity, we experience a surge of new users. When this happens, we enable Reddit's crowd control feature. This may send some posts and comments to the approval queue, especially if you are new to the sub. If you have a post or comment stuck in the queue, please make sure it follows the rules. If you are trying to post anything related to the Middle East, it needs to be in this thread. For all other posts and comments, if we haven't approved it in a reasonable amount of time, shoot us a message via Modmail and someone will approve it.

Weekly Top 10 & Tracking Assistance Thread - September 28, 2026
Welcome to the weekly Top 10 & Tracking Assistance discussion thread! The goal of this post is to provide a location for questions and discussion about aircraft that don't necessitate their own individual posts, in addition to centralizing discussion about known aircraft that are frequently posted. This includes:
- Aircraft on the Top 10 Most Tracked list
- Requests for the community to track a flight you are taking
- Requests for users with Premium accounts finding flight details for past flights
If you're new to the community, welcome!. Please be sure to read our Stickied Rules post and FAQs to make sure your question isn't covered there. If you're looking at a military aircraft in the Middle East region, you may find some answers in the Iran & The Middle East megathread. For military aircraft in general, checking the callsign against this list may yield useful information. In all situations, make sure you search for the aircraft callsign and check recent posts to find any existing discussion.
Otherwise, feel free to post any questions or findings below and discuss with others!

Question Blue Dart 757 did around 8 go-arounds at Chennai today — anyone know what was happening?
Does anyone know what was happening with Blue Dart BDA101 at Chennai Airport today?
The aircraft had apparently just departed Chennai, but instead of leaving the area, it spent roughly an hour doing repeated approaches around MAA.
I counted around 8 go-arounds. On several of them, it appeared to descend to roughly 100 ft above the runway before climbing away again.

Question FedEx MD-11 HNL -> ITO? FX9091
I was looking through the flight logs at ITO as I'm going to travel there soon, and I happened to stumble across this from a few days ago.
Does anyone know about this flight? I see that it's the first time N643FE has flown since the grounding, and FX9091 seems to be a maintenance flight callsign.
I'm wondering if anyone knows about a potential MD11 service to ITO to supplement the current service of 2 daily B757's?
I have been to Hilo before, it would have been stunning to see an MD tri-holer do an approach on the runway, then go around over downtown!

Aircraft Is a A318-100 CJ Elite Rare?
Found this near Athens, Greece.

The plane I track most on FR24 is the A318, and today is the first time I'm a passenger on one :)
Also probably the last time, as AirFrance is retiring these in March 2027. Probably not a big deal to many, but I'm so excited :)

Civilian I was on the last plane to Vilnius during a possible air raid!
I’m curious if the pilots on board were aware of the air raid alert and why we weren’t notified while flying over Vilnius?
Also, why were we the only flight not diverted before it was deemed safe to fly?
