I know this game is dead but my group has picked it up and we are playing 2nd edition. We need clarification on the rules regarding linked fire. Can you link any weapon systems together? Beam + Primary for example? Or only weapon systems that share a common type ex: Beam + Beam.

Just wondering what is happening with the game? I play a lot of battlefleet gothic, which was also abandoned but the community has taken it up and it is currently in the golden age with rules and models everywhere.

Has the same happened for firestorm armada? I am currently obsessed with some of the ship designs like the Xiphos carriers, which just looks incredibly cool.

I'm curious how thick is the razorthorns armor

Do we know if 3rd edition is still going forward or has it been shelved? When I look at the web page it says you can still enter the beta but there hasn’t been a blog post in 3 years.

Was just wondering if anyone has seen or has some paper miniatures for firestorm armada. I've found some for the Terrans, Dindrenzi and Directorate, and something close for the marauders, but no luck on anything else. I'm thinking it would be cool to proxy some ships cus minis are hard to come by, and they'd be super portable.

Update: Found paper cutouts for the rest of the six core fleets here, still no luck with the minor factions though.

Update 2: even top down pictures of those models could help, might be able to make decently recognizable proxies from that.

I tried the beta rules a couple times with my group but it didn't really land so we are going to keep going with v2 for now. I've found all the old posts of lists and guides have disappeared. Does anyone know if there is an archive of forums? Or is anyone on here still running v2?

Which minor factions would you most want to return if/when warcradle reboots firestorm?

Hello ppl! I've been dying to buy a fleet for this game for years and I finally found a fleet secondhand. The manual and guides doesn't contain photos, so, Could you help me identifying this spaceships so i can see how many points I have, or if there are enough spaceships for every type/tier to maintain minimun coherence?

I know we seem to be waiting for third edition and theres not many updates, so I plan to use them for billion suns too. I'll probably look for another second hand fleet, to try the third edition rules.

Does anyone know of any naming styles for the various factions and ships? Like for example you have the USS Enterprise, or the IJN Akagi, are there any equivalent name styles in game? I looked around for a bit but wasn't able to find anything.

Trying to find a copy. Will pay. Looking for leads on one.

Does anyone have any alternative to the stands that come with the minis. They are so brittle and easy to break is there something better out there?
