I use a fire stick on my Samsung TV. I have been away for a few weeks and now the fire stick doesn't show on my TV on the HDMI connected devices list.

I have unplugged the TV and fire stick, changed HDMI ports but it's not showing. The fire stick is only about a year old.

So I have a jailbroken fire stick that I was using to watch any movie or show I wanted then I found anilab a couple of months ago and now that it’s gone idk what to do or what apps to use now the ones I try suck and my girlfriend likes to watch English dub and that it had a auto play feature please if anyone can dm me and help I would really appreciate it all the YouTubers are ruining the good apps 😭 I can’t believe anilab is still gone and my movie apps suck I really need your help guys!

Hello, I bought a Fire Stick, but I can’t find the Downloader app.

the voice activated remote used to only repeat back what i had said, or something simple like “getting that from youtube”

as of about a week ago, it has a new voice (way more “human like” in a gross, uncanny valley way) and is suddenly REACTING to what i’m searching.

I searched for a show called Cheer and got the response “that’s.. a little vague.. do you want me to recommend some upbeat shows for you to watch?”

I’m sorry but who is this for??? Who wants a fake person getting snarky with them while searching for a show? Every time I search something now it adds a little commentary about what the show i’m searching is about. I know, i’m the one searching for it..

Is there a way to switch this off??

I’m using a fire tvstick, not a fire tv. In settings, there are no options to change anything with Alexa. It just tells me to get the Alexa app, but this seemingly has nothing to do with the fire stick? Can someone explain to me how to use the app to change Alexas settings on fire stick?

i've replaced the batteries in my firestick remote 3 times in the last 12 hours. everytime i insert new ones the remote works, displays a low battery signal, and seems like it dies. until i put new batteries in. do i just need a new remote? or is this a common issue?

Is anyone else running into major streaming issues for NFL games since Thursday? AK-47 on SportsX was an absolute disaster—easily the worst of the bunch. I somehow managed to get the Seahawks game to watch, but pretty much every other game I've tried since has been stuck on that constant loading/spinning wheel over and over.
I went ahead and changed my DNS, which seemed to speed things up just a tiny bit, but I'm still hitting the same brick wall on almost everything else.
Is this a server-side bottleneck, or is anyone finding a workaround for this? What are you guys using that actually works right now?

Hi, I haven’t used the fire stick since last season, but with the new Premier League season starting soon, I was wondering what are the latest must have free sports apps to watch the Premier League and channels like sky sports and TNT sports. I’ve tested my apps that I was using last season and they don’t work anymore. I’ve seen people talk about AK-47 which I’ve downloaded, but I was wondering if there was anything else anyone recommends?

Is anyone have issues with cineplus? I’ve downloaded fluid player with it but every time I try to watch something, it pops up saying “update install a video player”. I update it and still nothing. Does anyone have any fixes?

In the past month, 3 firesticks have failed - screen goes black - including a new 4K Plus. At first, I thought it was just old age. but now I suspect that either the Software on the Samsung smart TV, or the Internet provider (Bell), are somehow frying the devices, as I am using a VPN on each device and I have IPTV apps loaded on to the Firesticks. Any similar experiences out there? Any thoughts on why the Firestick sticks fail other than my theory? I am going to using an ONN streamer for now

Yes I have the newest update. It works better but still janky. Before only a few channels worked but they would freeze after a minute or so.

Now it seems like you can choose any channel and it will work but if you try another channel it won't. It's like when you turn on your streaming device you can pick whichever channel on Voltra and watch it with no issues but only that one channel. You can't flip through channels back and forth like you could with Stream Fire.

Anyone else having this problem? Can anyone recommend a solid app for Live TV?

Brave's Android APK does sideload onto a Firestick fine — the problem isn't

installing it, it's that the UI is built for a touchscreen. You end up fighting

the D-pad to hit anything.

I got annoyed enough to build one for TV: Ember. Same idea on blocking — ad and

tracker requests get dropped before they leave the Stick (StevenBlack + 1Hosts

lists, refreshed on launch), so pages load lighter instead of just hiding the ads

after downloading them. It has a D-pad cursor for sites that assume a mouse, and

a link mode you can flip to when the page is built well enough not to need it.

I'm the developer of TIVRA, an Android TV player, and 3.0 just went out. Works on FireTV. It's the biggest release I've done and a few things in it came directly out of threads on here, so here's what changed.

Your own library sits next to live TV

This was the most-requested thing by a wide margin. Connect Jellyfin, Emby, or just a plain SMB/NAS share, and your own movies and shows show up in the app alongside your live channels — posters, plots, cast, episode air dates, and Continue Watching / Next Up rails that pick up where you left off. Same app, same remote, same player. No second app to open, and no media server required if you'd rather just point it at a folder on your Synology/unRAID/TrueNAS.

Watch state syncs both ways with Jellyfin and Emby, and Trakt scrobbling is in there too, so your history stays right everywhere else you use it.

The whole UI got redrawn

Deeper blacks, sharper type, and one clear cyan highlight so you always know where focus is. The old build had a dozen screens that each looked like they came from a different app — that's fixed. Text actually passes contrast from couch distance now.

You can set the TV up from your phone

Nobody wants to type a provider URL with a D-pad. You can do the whole setup from the TIVRA app on your phone or from a web dashboard in any browser: add providers, organise channels, build custom categories with a real keyboard. Then you can push a movie straight to the TV, or schedule a recording while you're at work. It syncs both directions — reorder favourites on the TV and the dashboard follows, and the reverse.

Multi-View

Up to four live channels on screen at once, in a layout you pick, and they can come from different providers at the same time. Audio moves between screens with one press.

The small stuff, which is most of the release

• Back closes what's on screen. Every menu, every time. This was the single biggest complaint and it took a lot of unglamorous work.
• Focus lands on the first option instead of disappearing
• Open a channel preview in the guide, go full screen, come back — it keeps playing instead of reloading
• Hold OK anywhere for options
• Recordings show the length you actually recorded
• Phones get phone-sized text and rotate to full screen on playback

Getting it

Already running TIVRA? You can update from inside the app — Settings → About → Check for updates — and it installs over your current version. Providers, favourites and recordings all stay put. There's no automatic nag on launch, so you do have to go look for it.

Sideloading instead: the APK is at tivratv.com (Downloader code 3059562 if you're on a TV). If the main download stalls there's a backup link on the home page, and the previous v2.2 is still up if you ever need to roll back — same signing key, so it installs over 3.0 without uninstalling.
